What is your prediction on Nigeria vs Mozambique on Monday 5th, January 2026. Time; 20:00 and that should be 8:00 in West Africa Time Zone? If Nigeria beat Mozambique then they can play with any of the following terms in the Quarter Final. Algeria or Dr. Congo. If Nigeria work on their defense well. Those teams are not Nigeria Match. I am not really afraid of this teams but Morocco, and South Africa.

The super eagles are in good form I must say and that is as a result of the silly mistakes made during the world cup qualifier matches they played. I believe they realised it and are aware that over 299 million Nigerians are watching and hoping they do something reasonable this time but I will still commend their efforts and I see them winning their next match 3 goals to victory.

I am in your side that the super eagles will win the Monday match, but not with another three goals like did in the last matches. Mozambique is a strong team with ambitious coach who knows well about the performance level of his players. I saw the last two matches of Mozambique and I can say that it's not less dangerous than Morocco or Egypt who won Nigeria recently.

Well, my prediction was based on their performance in the last match they played and the goals they scored, and from the look, they are in good form to win the match. I just pray they do not feel too relaxed, allowing their opponent to take advantage of it to win them. As for the goals, I am very sure they would score a good number, but they would definitely win the match, and that settles it.

If the Nigerian national team thinks in the same way as yours, he will definitely get defeated by Mozambique or even a weaker team. Thinking to score three goals like what happened in the last two matches can make them focus on attacks and neglige defense and that would be the power point of Mozambique who played comfortably during the first three matches and balances between the right time to attack and when to focus to defense especially to prevent accepting more attacks during second half always.

I will bet on the goals of the match to be Over2.5 at the odd of 2.48 as shown in the odds table. The safest net to avoid emotional decisions.

I don't know what to say about Sudan if Senegal can't finish this match as I predicted before it started. Senegal has tied the match at 1-1. That's not enough for me for Sadio Mane if it ends with the current score.

Sudan is playing defensively, but Senegal can exploit the gaps to score goals. The match still has a long way to go, and Senegal must be able to do what they’ve been doing, even though Sudan is holding on strongly as it is now. Senegal has nearly 75% ball possession and 5 shots on target.

I think you're right the Super Eagles will surely perform reasonably because of the Nigerians watching them, and i consider the Super Eagles a strong team to win the AFCON title this time. This round of 16 is clear that Nigeria is going to have a victory over Mozambique because Super Eagles have had a wonderful performance from the group stage We knew how Mozambique got to this round of 16, it's not like they did anything special to reach this level.

I know that Senegal will play this game to secure goal before the end of first half, because that is what will give Senegal fans rest of mind to watch the game till Senegal secure victory. If Senegal can secure goal in this first half there is a hope that they will still secure another goals in the second half, because there are some players in the bench Senegal coach will release to make Senegal players to remain strong through out the game.

Sudan really feel the Senegal in hard way in this round 16, because there is no chance for Sudan to play what they played last game, because Senegal players are experience players that know how to put all their effort to secure victory which is what is going to happen at the end of this game.

Well Senegal did a very wonderful comeback..there are now qualified for the quarterfinals of AFCON with the amazing win against Sudan. I didn’t watch this match but when I saw the livescore and saw Susan ahead with a goal! I was very surprised and disappointed at the same time but the Teranga Lion didn’t later disappoint us. Mane had two assists and Nicholas Jackson also had one assists against Sudan, they performed amazingly well. Mbaye’s go oak was spectacular, when I watched the highlights I was very stunned and Gueye played very well and score a brace..the man of the match for a reason.

Well let’s see what comes out of the Mail vs Tunisia game.

There are no longer small countries in AFCON, every country came with the mindset to win the tournament! So if those big African footballing nations who already have that big reputation of playing good games actually think other nations  will accord them se level of fear or respect in the pitch!! Then they really need to think again, Senegal had to work twice has hard because I personally felt they underrated Sudan from the beginning and they were shocked as soon as they went a goal behind.

I don't see this thing as a way to motivate a team, the president of Mozambique is doing the team more harm than good. If we can remain vividly when ever the super Eagles reach a certain Stage in any competition, be it AFCON or the FIFA world cup, you see Nigeria president coming on air to promise Nigeria super Eagles heaven on earth, that's if only they can win the team they are playing against. And the last time Nigeria president came on air to promise super Eagles money, the match didn't end well, super Eagles lost that match.
And the funny thing here is, the Nigeria super Eagles is too strong for Mozambique team to win, I know they will definitely put in their best to secure the win, to enable them win the prize their president promised them. This Afcon is very tough and I have been looking at the games that have been played since the beginning of the competition, every country is performing well even if the team did not win the match they perform well, Senegal did not start the game the way people expected but they tried their best and make sure they qualify to the next round of the competition, one thing that makes me happy about Senegal is how they play and make sure they win the match.

The best thing is to qualify for the next round and Senegal did the right thing by qualifying for the next round, they will be waiting for the next opponent they will face, and about the goalkeepers conceding goals, I don’t think it is their fault, players should step up to make performan well, the performance from the players will determine the result of the game and also give the goalkeeper confidence to perform well.

I do not even advise the Nigerian government to reciprocate in the same manner; they should just allow the players to focus on their game to play and win, having it in mind that they are representing their nation to lift the trophy without any price motivation to score to pass this stage. After their victory, the government can make and gift promises to them, knowing fully well that they won their match, and that way, they would be motivated to put much efforts in winning their match.

Nigeria would hopefully, come out of that game with the win. Nigeria is heavily favored to win and rightfully so too as they've got a much stronger form than their opponents. Nigeria has some formidable forward players that can be counted on to create opportunities that could bring about goals. Perhaps, Mozambique may as well score a goal but I'm hopeful the Nigerian side would ultimately score more goals and win the game in the end.

The Super Eagles are still the favorite to win in this game. They will surely be the favorite to win. I will bet for them to score 2 gals and above in this game.

As long as the Super Eagles win against Mozambique, I don't care if they concede a goal. From the performance of Mozambique in the African Cup of Nations group stage matches, I believe Mozambique won't be a difficult opponent for the Super Eagles to win against. I've been juggling between that and the Barcelona game that's on.
