Well Senegal did a very wonderful comeback..there are now qualified for the quarterfinals of AFCON with the amazing win against Sudan. I didn’t watch this match but when I saw the livescore and saw Susan ahead with a goal! I was very surprised and disappointed at the same time but the Teranga Lion didn’t later disappoint us. Mane had two assists and Nicholas Jackson also had one assists against Sudan, they performed amazingly well. Mbaye’s go oak was spectacular, when I watched the highlights I was very stunned and Gueye played very well and score a brace..the man of the match for a reason.

There was no way Sudan would have defeated Senegal despite that they scored the first goal. Senegal is ranked second in African football so i respect them a lot and the comeback wasn't a surprise to me. They are the first team to reach the quarter finals of the AFCON. Senegal's win against Sudan was indeed a team work, thanks to Sadio Mane for his assists and also to the rest of his team mates who contributed to the win.

Well let’s see what comes out of the Mail vs Tunisia game.

It was not an easy match for Senegal despite them winning it by 3-1. Sudan played very well and opened the scoring with their 6th minute early goal. Although they couldn't hold the winning because Senegal was just too much for them. Did you notice that Senegal is getting better after every other match? I don't know how they are doing that but they are showing signs of being a major contender for the trophy.

Mali and Tunisia are entering penalty shoot out now following Mali late equalizer. The match was so tough that any team that losses in penalty will easily accept it without complain because both sides did their best.

Smiles this is how you should understand that this really the games for football anything can happen at anytime well I didn’t even watch the game for long but I feel and just as you have said all that matters is who wins the game most time having to keep a clean sheet doesn’t even matter most of the time…i feel at the start of the game Sudan players where to weaken at the start of the game, well this has teach on to always get ready, hope to see super eagles have such kind of clean sheets too even though it doesn’t matter a lot well I feel more energy should be added to such games anytime playing such competitions..

I supported Tunisia as well. But honestly, it doesn't deserve to win with this catastrophic performance level. Tunisia reached this match after a hard draw against a weak team Tanzania. And today was lucky to play against 10 players after Mali got a red card in first half. Then Tunisia found it hard to score till 88' which confirms its poor level against a strong Mali fighting with less players. Then lose in penalties after Mali scored the draw goal at 96'. This was a fantastic match for Mali, but a disaster for the eagles.

I lost my bet again of Over2.5 goals because I expected Tunisia to score more than one goal. If Mali played with full team, I had to win for sure.

Keeping a clean sheet at this stage of the competition is actually not that relevant, what's important is winning your game and progressing to the next round and that's what Senegal has done in the best possible fashion. Before the game, Sudan were the underdogs but many still expected them to get a result against a strong Senegalese team. I wasn't among those who thought Sudan stood a chance and that's why I wasn't shocked that the game finished in favour of Senegal.

Well I think this match is going to be battle for battle because this already shows that on the other teams are going to be fighting to win the funds and in the other the super eagles are aslo going to be fighting in other for them not to get any chance of winning or counting scores in their home,well I like this type of bet the government made well just as you have said I wish the Nigeria government could even set such example too this could boost their chances to win them to…i feel like our government should do more.

It is very certain that the super eagles is going to win this match and it is something I don't need to bother myself about because this will be cleansheet for the Nigerian team and that is why the president of Mozambique is pressuring his team to make sure they win so that they can get rewarded with extra money for their performances.

Today's games were upsetting for the teams that opened the scoring.
In the first match, Sudan surprised everybody for the first half hour with their early goal until Senegal returned to the game and started scoring.
In the second match, the Tunisian team was disappointing. They faced 10 players for almost the whole game. They scored at the end of the legal time then Mali was able to get the draw and forced them to play penalties and lose. That's a very bad result and they should improve themselves before going to the World Cup after few months..

Aside their first game of the tournament I don’t think Tunisia have been anything spectacular to say they shouldn’t be losing to Mali, they had struggled in the reminder of the games throughout the tournament, they had to simply fight off against Tanzania before they could qualify for the knockout stages, as for this game I thought they had actually find a way to scrap out win against this Mali, when they scored in the last few minutes against Mali I had thought they have won narrowly but like we are used to, a team that is good defensively is actually not that easy team to go against.

This Mali national team in this AFCON have managed to stay unbeaten in the tournament but yet have also not won any game in the regular time this season this is similar to the Portugal triumph in the 2016 EURO, it such feat actually happened again then it will be great. Next up is a game against another very strong favourite in the tournament and it’s Senegal who love scoring

Tunisia showed a poor level since the qualification matches. If you followed the news, everybody noticed how weak is the Tunisian team because of management issues. The disaster was with coach who showed such a level of arrogance in media despite all critics and warnings, because everybody knows he is an old bad player who was nominated as official coach because the team doesn't have enough money to recruit a professional coach from Europe. I am sure he will be fired just after reaching the tunisian land. He deserves a punishment because of his arrogance and unprofessionalism.

Mali deserves the winning because its first plan was just to keep the draw result until reaching the penalties stage. And it succeeded on it.

No matter how you see it, I would say that Mali displayed a very determined game plan tonight of which I didn't see that result coming from anywhere. Their doggedness was so amazing and immediately after that red card Tunisia was supposed to be in charge, of which Tunisia actually took over the midfield but still couldn't break the Mali defense successfully. Mali utilised every single opportunity and only focused on defence while hoping to reach the penalty shootout and Tunisia fell for the trick.

Coulibaly's red card for me spoilt what could have been a very entertaining match and ended up leaving the ball possession completely in the hands of the Tunisians almost all through the game. About the roughs and supposed fights, Mali never wanted to take a chance and if you assumed they should have received more red cards, then you should also understand that in total, Tunisia committed the highest number of fouls despite been the favourite with 11 men against the 10-man Malians. Tunisia felt too relaxed after the Coulibaly's red card and ended up loosing what could have been an easy win for them even after dominating the pitch for the 90 minutes.

It was a very good game of football, I knew it was going to be an interesting fixture, and Mali aren’t playing so well but they are managing to win their games, and if I’m not mistaking they played a draw in all their group stage games, sometimes in football you will require some luck to have a successful game against bigger opponents because the game between Tunisia vs Mali was a very good game compared to the game between Senegal vs Sudan, sometimes I really wonder how this country qualified for the nations cup and, most especially countries like Sudan and the bigger club, and I’m still surprised how Ghana didn’t qualify for the AFCON that should be a huge blow to the team and the fans.

Well Mali has become the second team to qualify for the quarterfinals after they beat Tunisia 3-2 on penalty, seems like Mali are very good on taking penalties, they equalized with a penalty and they managed to win Tunisia and knock them out on the penalty shootout with 3-2. That was a great performance from Mali btw even though Tunisia dominated the game, they still managed to win and advance to the quarterfinals.  Tunisia’s performance  was ….  I don’t even know the word I will use. Mali goalkeeper was the Man of the match, the first goalkeeper to win the MOTM award since the start of this AFCON I think.

Today we have Morocco playing against Tanzania and South Africa against Cameroon.

Sudan started the match with a fantastic goal, but their weaknesses became apparent in the later minutes, leading to their defeat.
Senegal fell behind in the score but won comfortably.
Sudan's goalkeeping and defense were particularly weak.
Pap Gueye made a significant impact on the match. If he shows himself a little more in the AFCON, he will transfer to bigger teams than Villarreal at the end of the season.

There's something I don't understand. Why is there so little interest in these matches in Morocco?
This was a Round of 16 match, but a large part of the stadium was empty. As a football fan, this saddens me. I hope that in the following rounds, matches will be played in front of full stands.

That was a great performance from Mali btw even though Tunisia dominated the game, they still managed to win and advance to the quarterfinals.  Tunisia’s performance  was ….  I don’t even know the word I will use. Mali goalkeeper was the Man of the match, the first goalkeeper to win the MOTM award since the start of this AFCON I think.

You see in football when you have an opportunity I mean a golden opportunity use it because anything that makes you as a manager or player joke with any chance given to you it will definitely turn against you. Reason why I said this is because of this Mali vs Tunisia, a red card was given in that encounter in the 26th minute and I wasn't expecting too much from Tunisia, go with full force (like they did to Nigeria) make the defenders to make mistakes and get a goal, at least a goal is enough but they struggled with 10 men Malians till the penalty shootout, it was terrible that display by Tunisia was disappointing and they deserve to be shown the exit.

Just saw this on Facebook and it reminded me of what our government used to do or say to our players whenever they do pass a particular stage in any competition, go out there and win and every player will have a good sum of money. I believe with the current situation of the country the government or president don't have that time to even glance through the games in this afcon.

I don't know the authentication of this news but I think African leaders need to stop doing this in our football, this is football and it's a game of sportsmanship, we know that passion is involved but trying to put an extra pressure on the players with monitory inducement removes the passion the game has, hardly have I seen any European leader do this, and Europe is where football giving special treatment. This is sports and anybody can take the day, the Spirit of sportsmanship allows for you to take the game in good fate whether you win or lose.
