Since the beginning Morocco were one of the favorite teams (maybe THE favorite) and, until now, they've been doing very well, they barely conceded any goal and Brahim Diaz is on fire! If I recall correctly, until now, he scored in every single match of the competition. Very curious to see today's matches, I really don't know what to expect, it's difficult to choose a winner.

Nigeria will be playing Algeria today for the quarter final of the AFCON it's never going to be as easier as other games we won, Algeria is a strong side they are equally as inform as the Nigeria Super Eagles. Both countries is hoping to play in the semi final so we will definitely be seeing a different game today, Nigeria defeated Mozambique 4-0 in the round of 16 while Algeria won Dr Congo who stop Nigeria not to qualify for their world Cup, both countries are only countries that have won all their games as it stand so let's expect a tougher game the outcome of the game is yet unpredictable but I hope we win today to qualify for to semi final.

I don't really know what you mean by the super eagle has talented players when they can not qualify for the world cup.
It is very unfortunate that they are struggling with the AFCON when they supposed to be preparing for the world cup which is the only international tournament the players has to compete with other players from other countries.
So you mean the other players playing in the afcon are all Nigerians? I honestly don’t understand what you’re trying to say. Afcon is a big international tournament with players from many African countries, not just Nigeria.
Even if Nigeria had qualified for the World Cup, they would still play in afcon. The two competitions are different, and one does not stop the other. Afcon is an important stage where players compete against top African teams.
Saying the Super Eagles are not talented just because they didn’t qualify for the World Cup is not the right thing to say. Obviously, talent is there, but football also depends on good coaching, planning, and management.

You are perfectly right in all that you said here bro, because in football talent alone is not enough. A team falls to qualify for a world cup tournament or any other international tournament doesn't mean that the team is not good, most times it's due to bad coaching and bad organizations that is mostly the cause, as you have said already, not by just having a talented squad.

Just look at the case of our super eagles, and how they are playing well in this Afcon, if it was still the incompetent Finidi George that was still our coach, do you think they will be playing so good? No.
That's why I believe that if Eric Chelle was our coach then, from the start of our world cup qualifying games, we wouldn't have missed out of this world cup coming up, so good management is as important as quality players.

The super eagles have talented players, with the players the super eagles are having, they are just suppose to be at the top always, no country in African has the kind of squad that the super eagles are having right now, but I don’t know what there problem is, they are always disappointing us Mostly. I can see some changes in super eagles performance in the on going AFCON, they are being to impress us, and they are putting smile on our faces. I just hope as they are performing well right now, they going continue with this performance, I hope they will be able to win the AFCON for us this year.

I know that no one is  happy and even the super Eagle players are not happy either to see themselves not be able to qualify for the FIFA world Cup tournament and such super Eagle are not the only team that did not qualify so i want you to believe that some time if the winning is on your side you will not do anything about and if are you saying that super Eagle are struggling in this African Cup of Nations i really disagree with you because i didn't see any struggling in super Eagle when are talking about struggling the example teams you should say is mali that played draw throughout their group stages and happen to qualify for next rounds with penalty shootout and yet Senegal removed mali yesterday by beating them 1 to nothing, and looking at the Algeria vs Nigeria today, is going to be a tough one because Nigeria manages was delaying on paying bonus and which has disorganized the super Eagle mind already and for super Eagle to win today match it means that the God of football is on their side and secondly Algeria is tough team that super Eagle needs to play with the full confidence of winning from the first half of the game to the second of the game.

I’ll definitely be watching this game with am open mind, because football has taught me that anything can happen. This is not a match where you sit down feeling relaxed or too supportive. Both Nigeria and Algeria are strong,, and they are both in good form. On their day, either side can win this game.
As a Nigerian, my heart will naturally be with the Super Eagles. I would really want the Super eagles to qualify for the semi-finals and keep this good run going. But at the same time, I’m trying to protect myself from too much disappointment. I’ve seen football enough to know that passion alone doesn’t win matches, and sometimes the better team doesn’t get the result.
So I’ll watch the game calmly, enjoy the football, and accept whatever comes. If Nigeria wins, it will be a proud and joyful moment for me. If Algeria wins, I’ll be disappointed, but I’ll understand that this is football and anything is possible. Either way, I’m expecting a tough, intense, and entertaining match.

At first I made myself to believe that Morocco will be one of the best in this AFCON but since the group stage they haven't shown that dominance in their games like taking full control and making their opponents play less, they do win their games yes but they are not up to the standard of Senegal and Egypt even our own Super Eagles are more better let's forget how we do concede goals and all that. Morocco will be waiting to face one of their toughest opposition in this competition either Nigeria or Algeria and as for yesterday's game against Cameroon I think it was so disappointing when I watched that game, everything was just in favor of the host but until they face a side that have more hunger in them that's when the action will begin, for now they're are not close to being the favorite.

If Nigeria win, it will be a good signal of the strength we possess and a warning to Morocco who will have to face next to get to the finals. My hope for this game is that the recent issues that the players had with the NFF does not affect their morale to go all in in this game against Algeria who have something to prove. I expect a good game, and hope that there are no severe injuries to both teams.

I think the major player to look out for in the Algerian team is Mahrez, but for the Nigerian team, there are a couple of them that the Algerians will have to keep close eyes on, the likes of Osimhen, lookman and even Akor Adams.

Days has gone when Nigerians use to have heart attack when watching Nigeria games people don't care now we win no problem we loss we come home, you can buy a bottle beer sit calmly don't even argue with any body and watch your game but if the Super Eagles can put them self together without the players been to selfish and greedy not to give a ball to who is in a position to score goal we can beat Algeria, I don't know about Victor Osimhem if he is back with team if they can calmly play this game Algeria will get it hot.

Nigeria will be playing Algeria today for the quarter final of the AFCON it's never going to be as easier as other games we won, Algeria is a strong side they are equally as inform as the Nigeria Super Eagles. Both countries is hoping to play in the semi final so we will definitely be seeing a different game today, Nigeria defeated Mozambique 4-0 in the round of 16 while Algeria won Dr Congo who stop Nigeria not to qualify for their world Cup, both countries are only countries that have won all their games as it stand so let's expect a tougher game the outcome of the game is yet unpredictable but I hope we win today to qualify for the semi final.
It is a quarter final so we should expect it to more tougher than the other ones because every country want to see the of the game so their would definitely be a very big fight tonight. But I just hope it come through for because these is the only hope of Nigerians right now so they should try and win Algeria in this quarter final because I'm pretty sure that they can make through to the final if they secure this game against Algeria.

However, I think Morocco is the most toughest in this competition, they made an incredible efforts against their opponent yesterday. Without any doubt Morocco would play in the final, let's see what Super Eagles have for us tonight, I can't wait to see them in the final.

Do they care? The NFF in quote, this adminstration don't care about football, In fact from my observation, we haven't had another football loving president such as former President Olusegun Obasanjo that supported our then super eagle team all round, Then sporting activities were taken very seriously, especially football. Then we had a working NFF, and we've never had that again for long now.
Corruption is eating this people and they don't care again about their responsibility as a government body set to seek for the affairs of football and players wellbeing. If the government can hold these people accountable of what they are doing with the money that is being allocated to them, this would save money for the Nigerian government and bring them to book.
If you say that corruption is eating up the NFF, it's an understatement because the NFF is corruption itself, and as far as they are enriching themselves with the money meant to mind the affairs of the Nigerian football both on national and international levels, they don't care if Nigeria achieves anything in football. The Nigerian government can't hold the NFF accountable for how they are spending the money being allocated to mind the affairs of the Nigerian football because they are also involved in embezzling the money.

If the government itself is really involved, who will hold the NFF accountable? There is no answer to this question. If there is no transparent audit and no public accountability in an institution for a long time, it is natural that there will be corruption. But if no one loses their position despite failure, then corruption becomes a culture there. And the Nigerian Football Federation has to come out of this culture.

The biggest problem is that if the government is involved, that is, if a responsible member of the government is involved in this corruption, then the problem is deeper, longer-term and lasting. If the regulator and the perpetrators are in the same boat, then reform becomes impossible. This is where I think the main crisis of Nigerian football lies.

Cameroon showed no presence against Morocco. Morocco was the better side throughout the match. The only thing I remember about Cameroon was the incident where Mbeumo was on the ground; I don't think that was a penalty. Mbeumo tripped over his opponent's leg to try and win a penalty. I didn't watch Morocco in the group stage, but I saw that they were quite effective against Cameroon.

Morocco could win the Africa Cup of Nations for the second time in their history. That's the impression I got.

If the super eagles performed the same way they are performing right now during the World Cup qualifiers, then am sure the super eagles will be playing in the World Cup, but their performance was just so terrible during the club World Cup qualifiers, and they were just struggling and couldn’t even win most of their matches during that period.

It wasnt possible for them to perform the same way because this is a different team. Most of the players you see here were not called up to join the squad then. Another thing is that the previous coach was a terrible coach he knows nothing about international football.

The question we should be asking is why these players not called up before now?

🇳🇬Go Nigeria!!!

Lol... Smiley "Today is today," I can't wait. This match is one of the toughest matches that is very hard to predict. If you say so many good things about the Algerian side, the Super Eagles of Nigeria also have theirs, which makes it going to be keenly contested. The truth is that the Super Eagles have greatly improved compared to before, and with the seasoned strikers like Victor Osimhen and supporting winger like Ademola Lookman and others, goals should roll. But I don't really trust the Nigerian defence against Algerian, but the center should be good, and so should be our attack.

You know as the host they may be extra motivated to play better and try everything possible to make the fans happy almost at all times. They shoulder the responsibility of doing well on their soil and I know every host nations always wants to impress. I remember the last one held in Ivory Coast, see how the players were, the zeal and all that. It is almost the same thing with this Morocco players, they are fighting to win the tournament and they are doing good in the competition

My opinion is as follows: the Nigerian national team has very skilled and famous players, some of whom are very important to their respective clubs. However, I think that by failing to qualify for the World Cup, the Nigerian team has become inferior to the African teams that did qualify.

I know someone might say that if the Nigerian team wins against Algeria today, then that wouldn't be true. But the fact is that a strong team in a tournament is measured by what the team has achieved in that tournament, and in the case of World Cup qualification, only the teams that qualified can be considered world-class. I like the Nigerian national team and I'm rooting for them to win this tournament.

How do you think that the government will hold them accountable when they're an accomplices of the irregularities in the Nigeria Football Federation. Most of the people in the NFF that are allegedly embezzling the funds of the organisation are people who are strongly backed by men in the government of the day. The NFF is poorly managed by people of no competence and inasmuch as they remain there, we'll continue to experience embarrassing policies and management style.
If a hold regime can take over Nigeria, all those things we are seeing about the way government workers and politicians are spending money will definitely stop. I know that corruption is the main reason why all these are happening and it can stop in due time because people don't want the bad government to continue with their irregularities.
My own thought is that, giving the fact that corruption like this have been occurring in the NFF ON and OFF, what is stopping CAF and FIFA from giving the Nigerian football federation stringent cautioning, these two bodies are the strongest governing body when it comes to football especially in this part of the world. We've had situations before now that bonuses that were giving by CAF and FIFA not getting to the intended people yet this bodies haven't shown much strength in terms of Sanctions. I believe if this bodies show enough concern about what is happening with the way football is being run in Nigeria, things will definitely change.

Morocco was the better team in the match and since from the beginning of the match we can see that Morocco deserves to win the game, Cameroon played well too but they didn’t have any player who can create many chances for them and score goals, they lack a goal scorer and since the beginning of the game we can notice that they don’t have a good goal scorer, but Cameroon were robbed of a penalty in the game, that was a clear penalty on Mbuemo and the referee did not give to them, Afcon referees should do better and not cause a problem for themselves.

This is the match that we will all believe that Nigeria can win the Afcon, Nigeria needs to beat Algeria by all means, losing the match will be one of the most painful thing because Algeria has beat Nigeria before when Mahrez score a good free kick and knock us out, Nigeria super eagles should do what they can to make sure Algeria get knocked out in today match, it will not be an easy game because Algeria defense is good and they have a good goalkeeper but super eagles need to show their talent in this game.
