The super Eagles have just scored in the 47th minute, goal scored by Victor Osimhen. Who else does it better if not the golden boy. Inasmuch as Africa is concerned is football, Victor Osimhen is the most rated because this guy is just full of enthusiasm and confidence. Now the Super Eagles need not to overlap, they should know that they are also playing against one of the competitive countries in the AFCON so they must guide their defense jealously and should not allow anything that will lead to an equalizer.

And he is also the man who assisted the second goal of Akor Adams, he could have still score the second but he want to risk when there was someone whom he could give to score, Riyad Mahrez the leader of Algeria was substituted because he had no strength in super eagles, why all this missing from Akor Adams?, before Osimhen, Akor Adams was the first to have clean chance in first half but his attempt was worst and this second time Osimhen had found him but he missed, super eagles didn't overlap after this two goals and the guys are on the semi finals already with Morocco, I hope this injury ends on this pitch for Bright Osayi Samuel because the guy is the best right side defense for super eagles and possibly man of the match.

Despite what the Super Eagles played in the first half by missing all the opportunities and not scoring a single goal, for me, I can very much say I'm super satisfied with the Super Eagles return in the second half of the game, because it wasn't even up to 3 minutes enter the second half that Victor Osinhem scored the first goal of the game at exactly 47 minutes, which was a very happy moments, and 10 minutes after Akor Adams scored the second goal of the game at exactly 57 minutes. Hence, making it 2 goals to nil against Algeria right now at 88 minutes into the game, despite the Super Eagles having 1 yellow card and Algeria having straight 5 yellow cards. So I'm happy for the Super Eagles to playing excellently today, because we have won this game.

Before the start of this competition and judging how unserious the Nigerian team was during the qualification of the world cup, I was like, this unserious team will not go far in the Nations cup tournament but here they are right from their opening match, they have been so impressive so far in this competition and I'm proud of them. Their next game will be against the host, which will be a tough one for both team as the are both in tremendous form. Morocco will want to win so they can decide their ticket to the finals, Nigeria on the other hand will also want to win as this is the only tournament left for them. No action for them in June/July when the WC will kickoff. Next up in the remaining fixture of the QF is the one of the Egypt Vs the defending champions.

Nigeria already scored another beautiful goal at the 57' start of the second half. The match had to be finished by now and Algeria will go home tomorrow. Honestly speaking, Algeria performance's in this championship wasn't that bad especially compared with it's arabic neighbor Tunisia. Algeria deserved the qualification but it isn't an easy mission to confront with the Super Eagles or later with Morocco which surprises everybody imo. Now looking forward to Egypt which is well performed than Algeria in the North African arabic region.

Some minutes into the first half game and the super eagle team has been absolutely impressive in this first half game and they're mounting serious pressure on the Angola team side, and where there should have been an account opening goal from Victor Oshimen but a lot chances are being missed. With the way I'm seeing how super eagle is handling their opponent team, there's no doubt they won't be getting a victory out of this match and advance into the next stage.

The match is currently dominated by Nigeria however, both sides are doing pretty good but I'm impressed with super eagles cause they've created good chances and shown the Algerians that they're not a weak team or can be defeated easily, what a beautiful attempt by lookman in the 22nd minute both the Algerian keeper read the ball well and saved the shot.

Ademola Lookman is proving that the super eagles can really survive without Osimhen in our attack, he's a threat to the Algerian defence and I love how he uses his chances well, if be gets more shots like he did I believe he'll convert one or two to goals.

Nigeria is dominating the match, I agree, but it's also important to note that dominating all statistics doesn't win matches. Nigeria has been wasting beautiful opportunities to get ahead in this game, they've missed at least 3 good chances with the worst being Akor Adams one on one with the keeper. Eric Chelle has done a wonderful job with the way the guys are playing, it's up to the players to make something good out of this match. They are dominating which is good, but goals are needed to win the match.

With the way Algeria is defending and absorbing the pressure from the Nigerian super Eagles, if Algeria have the slightest opportunity to score a goal they will put the ball inside the back of the net and will defend it till the end of the 90 minutes. I think the first half has been a very dominant one for the super Eagles and they need to capitalize on that to get a goal so that they can play with more confidence and ease. It won’t make sense to dominate the entire game and end up not winning the match.
I'm glad Nigeria did not provide them with such an opportunity. Osimhen once again proceed himself the talisman with the goal and assist in the match. Bruno Onyemechi kept delivering crosses to him until the perfect one was converted. Every Nigerian player gave their best I'm this match from defense to attack. It would be very hard singling out a man of the match in this competition. Every Nigerian player deserves to take the ball home.

Nwabali was jobless for a major part of the match, all thanks to his super effective defense. The boys have done well, congratulations to them. We meet Morrocco in the round of 4.

On the balance of play I am enjoying Nigeria football far more than any other country, the only country that has played such good football in this tournament is Morocco but I enjoy Nigeria football more than Morocco football and I am not saying this because I am a Nigerian.
Algeria is a great country in Africa football so the way Nigeria dominated Algeria was what I wasn’t expecting.

We did well on this game and have qualified to the semi-finals but in addition to what you have added here Nwabali will be missing next match and that means we are relying on Uzoho, and so we need every other key players to be available, hopefully the Osayi injury won't keep him sidelined.

The host has been the best African team in some years now for me especially during the world cup qualifier. In terms of attack and defense they are solid, over all solid in all area and that means we need to ensure the win tonight doesn't affect us and no chances is being wasted and defend right.

The match between Algeria players and the Nigeria super Eagles just ended few minutes ago 0:2 very good defeat. and frankly speaking I was really impressed with the  super Eagles performance in that match, although the Nigeria super Eagles wasted a lot of opportunities they had in scoring more goals in that match, but it's fine we still won, beside wining is the most important thing and not the how many gools that was been scored.

The Nigeria super Eagles is showing potential of winning this AFCON competition, and if they continue with this their present performance am pretty sure they will be lifting the title.

I said we are taking this trophy home. Kudos to Osimhen, Lookman, Adams and Calvin Bassey, these guys really played well today. I knew this game wouldn't be easy for us but I never expected it that Nigeria is going to dominate today's game. Is like Algeria didn't even have shot on target throughout the game. This kind of mentality I want us to show till the rest of the games. The boys really made us proud today. Now we have Morocco to face in the semi final, it is going to very very tough. The host will want to dominate this game in every possible ways in front of their home fans. But I believe we can hurt them.

Nigeria just showed Algeria who is boss today. If was very interesting to watch them dominate Algeria and repel all their creativity and brilliance. Nigerian team was far stronger and more tactical than the Algerian team. I love the fact that Nigeria was able to make accurate use of their midfield for distribution and stronghold. Iwobi and Ndidi did a marvelous job in that regard. The whole Nigerian team, most especially the coach deserves his flowers for a job well done. Nigeria won by two, but Algeria is lucky, safe from the careless miss in the first half, if would've been up 4 or more. It was a pity the Algerian team couldn't even get a shot on target.

Even though the Super Eagles didn't score all the chances they had in the first half, they should have at least scored one goal in the first half so that Algeria wouldn't play a low block game in the second half and make it difficult for the Super Eagles to score goals. But if the Super Eagles maintain their dominance in the second half, I am quite sure they will beat Algeria and proceed to the semi final.
I'm not saying that I am not impressed or satisfied with the performance or dominance of the Super Eagles against Algeria in the first half, but since the Super Eagles need a goal for them to beat Algeria, it would have been better if the Super Eagles had taken the lead in the first half so that as they are starting the second half, we will know that we are already winning Algeria, but I am happy as the Super Eagles didn't waste time to score two goals in the second half, which they defended perfectly to secure a win against Algeria.

Honestly watching this game today made my night and I'm feeling on top of the world for the Super Eagles as we speak. They have done a tremendous job today and they have equally shown their might as a team of superstars above the Algerian guys. At some point I had to burst into laughter when I found out the manager of the Algerian team had to remove their star Mahrez because he was literally beaten and worn out in the game and he didn't want to experience more shame. Our Super Eagles looking like this year's AFCON champions already from every angle of their performance from the tight defence ensured by Kalvin Bassey and Onyeka to the extraordinary ball possession and match management to the swift and wonderful goals scored through the wonderful pass from Iwobi to the selfless efforts made by Victor Osimhen to the outstanding finishing made by Akor Adams.

Our celebrity billionaire Abdulsmad Rabiu has committed a whooping sum of $500,000 to the players upon winning the semi final, with an additional $50,000 for every goal scored in the match. Should the players go on to clinch the final, he further pledges $1,000,000, plus $100,000 for each goal scored in the final going forward. This is shortly after he was seen flying his hands up to victory upon his excitement in his cozy sitting room at the end of the game.

Honestly speaking, I didn't see any big chances they missed in that first half, apart from that clear chance 1v1 from Akor Adam that he sent over the crossbar which was the right move but just slightly overhit. Overall Nigeria continue to impress us, not to spit on any teams face but Algeria is not a threat currently, the teams am afraid of is Morocco, Ivory Coast and Senegal.

Algeria still continued with there defence with no big attacking threat, still no shots on target is a bit abysmal.

Since the beginning Morocco were one of the favorite teams (maybe THE favorite) and, until now, they've been doing very well, they barely conceded any goal and Brahim Diaz is on fire! If I recall correctly, until now, he scored in every single match of the competition. Very curious to see today's matches, I really don't know what to expect, it's difficult to choose a winner.
At first I made myself to believe that Morocco will be one of the best in this AFCON but since the group stage they haven't shown that dominance in their games like taking full control and making their opponents play less, they do win their games yes but they are not up to the standard of Senegal and Egypt even our own Super Eagles are more better let's forget how we do concede goals and all that. Morocco will be waiting to face one of their toughest opposition in this competition either Nigeria or Algeria and as for yesterday's game against Cameroon I think it was so disappointing when I watched that game, everything was just in favor of the host but until they face a side that have more hunger in them that's when the action will begin, for now they're are not close to being the favorite.
During this type of competitions is difficult to see a team clearly dominating, unless they are playing against a very weak team. There is more pressure and in the last decade a lot, really a lot, of underdog national teams improved a lot, from Europe to Africa to Asia. Going on the pitch and dominate every single game just because you have better players is not easy, you can't do it all the time. 20 years ago it was easier to dominate, now, not anymore. Morocco are showing solidity, consistency, organization, and that is what it's important.

I still can not forget what i told you friends yesterday while coming back from work even though i am not a fan of the super eagles of Nigeria, when i saw the odd given to them i compared it the the same odd given to them when they played against Madagascar previously, the odd i saw was very hash on a team considered favourite to win the African cup of nations this year. I told them its a straight win for the super eagles but the laughed because they believed there consistency is still in doubt but now it has come to manifestation.

On the game they super eagles did perfectly well especially in dominance and possessive wise, denying there opponents the access to get over them when they tried but my fear is will they still do same in the simi finals because the super eagles of Nigeria is like Arsenal that normally loses consistency when fans believe in them most

Sincerely, I have never seen the Super Eagles play this way in a long time. They played far above my expectations. Nigeria had twelve shots and five was on target. While the Desert Warriors managed two shots and none was on target. Stanley Nwabali was just on holiday throughout the game. The good part of the Nigeria team is the ability of all the players to follow-up ball during Algeria attacks. This was the reason the North African side didn't pose any threat in the attack. The next game will be very tough.  Nigeria will be playing against the Moroccans, their fans and other factors.

Yes i saw the many mistakes of Akor Adams but the goal he scored have canceled those mistakes and i still commend VictoR Osimhen for his commitment in making sure that the Super Eagles achieve the best result. Am even beginning to see reasons why he do shout at his team mates when they are misbehaving, he just needs to be polite and diplomatic in doing that anyways.

Nigeria played Algeria like a small team and from today i respect Eric Chille and the team because initially we thought that their 100% winnings in the AFCON so far was as a result of meeting mediocre teams but they have just proved us wrong today against Algeria. Rihad Mahrez was no where to be found and the most funny part is that Algeria didn't get any shot on target but the Super Eagles shoot 5 shots on target and converted 2 goals. I think am believe in the Super Eagles now and their match against Morocco doesn't even look like a big game anymore despite that Morocco is a big team and also the host Nation but what happened to their Women when they played against the Super Falcons will also happen to their Men team.

A different point of view in the Algeria vs Nigeria game, this is the main test the Super Eagles have faced going into this competition, they played like a different team and some of those energy they put especially the europe base player we all saw it in this game. This game got me asking, where was all these commitment the Eagles gave in this tournament? If we had played the way we did tonight I don't see any team robbing shoulders with us in the qualifiers for the world cup, South Africa are good but they couldn't have given us any form of stress. A good win for the Eagles and I hope they continue to improve in any game or team they come across with, next stop is Morocco.

You shouldn’t get carried away by the performance of the Super Eagles, because I think there is nothing guaranteed for them just yet, it was a good game for the Nigerian Super Eagles, and still I’m not impressed with their performance, because Algeria looked like a team who aren’t serious in the game, they were Literally outplayed by the Super Eagles, which was unexpected considering their performance against DR. Congo.

Congratulations to the Super Eagles for progressing to the semifinals of the AFCON, but I must say their is no guarantee they are going to win the Trophy, so now they have to show themselves against Morocco the host nation, which will not be an easy game for Nigeria Super Eagles.

Initial I thought it was not going to be that easy for the super eagles to win Algeria and there are many people that also think the same way. Considering the fact that they were unable to win Congo in the world cup playoffs and Algeria was lucky to win Congo. It was more like Algeria was going to win the super eagles.however, the eagles really show Algeria team that they are not here for play . The super eagles won't be like arsenal as you have thought they will definitely win the semi final with there astounding performance is possible.

The way this team is playing right now, I don't think there is any team in this competition that won't feel their pressure if they get to face off with each other. Morroco the host nation will be our next encounter and they too must be feeling the heat right now as they have seen the ability and the capabilities of the super eagles so they will definitely be on edge when they meet with the super eagles because with what am seeing even morroco will have a hard time playing us.
