It is obvious that all Nigerians are happy with the performance of the super Eagles in the ongoing African Nations, but when I remember that Nigeria was unable to qualify for the World Cup, I feel so sad.

Nigerians are just satisfied with the way the super eagles have been playing in the AFCON, since the beginning they haven’t had any draw or low any match, today they played against Algeria and they played so well in todays match. Am really impressed with the new pattern of super eagles, they are playing like a team that really wants to achieve something.

If the super eagles played the way they are playing currently during the World Cup qualifier, they will definitely qualify for the World Cup, but they were playing rubbish during that period, and couldn’t qualify for the World Cup which is really painful. when the World Cup starts am going to watch other countries playing but my country won’t be among, I won’t have choice than to just support other countries.

I am just curious between Egypt, Morocco, and Nigeria, which of these countries do you think would win the AFCON? I don’t have any hopes for Nigeria despite their recent “improved” performance in quotes. Egypt and Morocco are two strong contenders but the Moroccan are not my favorites because of their fans laser harassments of their opponents. So, that leaves me with Egypt. What do y’all think?

If it's not Morocco as the most ambitious rising team, it would be Nigeria the classic strong team in the Afcon. I don't think Egypt will succeed to win the semi final after two hard matches. The players (except for Salah) didn't used to play in full performance against strong teams.

However it seems all my predictions for the matches I've been watching have been wrong, because I was wrong about Tunisia in two matches, and now I've underestimated the Egyptians (see my last post in this thread). Egypt beat Ivory Coast in an excellent match with a fantastic performance from both teams. I admit they deserved the win and qualification after all that effort, because the Ivorians were never an easy opponent.

Senegal - Egypt 1.96 - 3.10 - 3.25

I can't say that Senegal looks noticeably stronger than Egypt, but they have a better scoring, so I wouldn't bet against the bookmakers here.

Morocco - Nigeria 2.04 - 3.10 - 3.00

Frankly, both teams look very strong, and the bias in Morocco's favor is likely due to their success at the last World Cup. Perhaps it makes sense to bet on Nigeria.

They did perfectly well, and I am happy they are in their best performances these days, and I pray they maintain this fit till the finals in lifting the trophy as our Falcons did. It will be a double slap on Morocco this time around, as both the male and female trophies were won by the same country on their own soil.

I wouldn’t say they are lucky, nor will I say they're a bad side, Nigerians have just seen their players upped their performance and game during this African Cup Competition.
And cheers to the posters and people who wanted Victor Osimhen out of this Nigerian squad he was a bit vexed and tempered the other day. I hate how you lots disrespect the best Nigerian Striker we've had in a long time. He might have attitude issues, but we need him and can't deny his greatness. Congratulations to the boys and also Alex Iwobi. He's been our unsung hero, yes?!

Mikel Obi also said the same thing on his podcast, and Osimhen proved them right. He gave Nigeria a goal and an assist that sent Super Eagles flying to the semi-finals.

I’m also very happy that we won the match at last even though we lost a lot of chances we still won the match at last Nigerian players did a very good job. I never expected them to dominate the ball from the first minute till the last minute they did exceptionally well if not for the chances that they missed believe me, Nigeria would’ve won with four goals, but nevertheless, I’m proud of them because they showed that they are ready to be the African best.

His first goal was a super header, he gave the goalkeeper no chance at all to save the ball, and then his assist for Akor Adams was completely unselfish and showed the attitude within the team, the team spirit that they all share. Osimhen is a goal behind Brahim Diaz who is the leading goal scorer in this competition, with that in mind, some strikers will never pass that ball to another player like Osimhen did when they know that they have a chance to maneuver and try to score the goal themself. Against Morocco, If Nigeria plays the same way, Morocco will have a lot of issues.

I don't get it how The Ivory Coast team continues to gain possession of the game right from the first half to the second half and haven't being able to lead in the score sheet in this game, they have being behind only responding to the Egyptians after they're a 2 goals ahead. The Egyptians are playing with much physicality which has helped them to dig in to the Ivorian defence with their eyes on goal each time they have the ball. I think this is a lost game for Ivory Coast with 3:2 scoreline in favour of the pharaohs.

Yes, it's true that Ivory Coast had the most ball possessions of over 70% in the entire today's game against Egypt, but one thing I noticed about Egypt was the fact that they were very good at utilizing any opportunities they saw to convert into goals, just as they did in their first goal at 4 minutes into game by Omar Marmoush, fellowed by the second goal that was scored by Rami Rabia at 32 minutes, of which all those goals was scored at strategic opportunities by the Egyptians players. And I'm happy the Egyptians players for being able to convert convert slight opportunities into goals, instead of holding it in possession. So it was really a lovely game and I enjoyed it.

I'm really happy too, at first I was worried we were to play against a strong attacking side but the super eagles cleared my doubts. They dominated the Algerians, took over the midfield and scored two fantastic goals. Im proud of the super eagles. It was a well deserving victory and I hope they keep it up and try reach the finals.
 With the way the super eagles is performing in this tournament im still wondering why they couldn't qualify for the world cup. The super eagles deserved to qualify but it's unfortunate that their best wasn't enough, well im glad they're making up for their mistake in this AFCON tournament.

The second half was very entertaining, Ivory coast performed better immediately Kessie got substituted, he played better in the first half, but got frustrated after the 3rd goal by Sallah, the coach's decision of taking him out brought in a better energy which helped secure the 2nd goal for the Cotedviore players, however, Egypt never gave up any opportunity, and got ahead earlier than their opponent.

Or maybe it's because of the home advantage, moreover they're the hosting nation. But if it's not for that reason, then i'm not exactly sure of why such odd was draft out. At least, I expected something very close for both sides. Both teams have played well In the tournament, and If I guess right, I think Nigeria has scored more and conceded more as well, while the Moroccans are quite good at keeping clean sheets even though they've scored lesser number of goals than Nigeria. It's going to be a tough one, but I think the risk on Nigeria might worth it. Perfect record so far, so it's worth giving a try. And as for the Egypt/Senegal game, well I guess the bookmakers knows what we don't because I wasn't expecting this as well.

When betting on Senegal match and Egypt, you don't need to bet own total winning, you neither bet on first half win or second half under 0.5, because the strength of both team looks similar but at end one team will defeat each other.

Nigeria is a strong team in this tournament, since the tournament started Nigeria has not lost any match, but if they play calmly without been under pressure, they may likely defeat Morocco but if they with the method of performance with Algeria, the match might end with penalty kick, because Morocco can never be reluctant for Nigeria to win easily, I'm even guessing that Morocco may defeat Nigeria

I have the same bias as you for this semin final games.

Nigeria to win Morocco

While all the remaining teams are the best teams of the tournament, some have shown more fight, quality football and consistent results more than others. Senegal won most of their games comfortably and the same goes for Nigeria. I feel like Morocco got this far based off of "Host Country" vibes. Which is why I'm eager to watch the semi final vs Nigeria as well as that Senegal game.

So you mean the other players playing in the afcon are all Nigerians? I honestly don’t understand what you’re trying to say. Afcon is a big international tournament with players from many African countries, not just Nigeria.

What is the meaning of AFCON if I may ask? Do you want to compare a competition that involves countries of the world to a competition that only involves African countries? You can not compare the world cup that normally takes place very 4 years to AFCON.
The difference in clear and the amount involves for every win is bigger than anything you can imagine.

Honestly it’s going to be a remarkable achievement for the Nigerian football if the super eagles of Nigeria ends up winning this years Afcon trophy just like their super falcons team did in Morocco last year, it will really solidify Nigeria as the powerhouse as far as Africa football is concerned. The super eagles really outplayed Algeria today in their quarter final game in all area, and got rewarded by winning 2 goals to nil. They are by far the best team so far in this years Afcon. That win against Algeria have booked them a place in the semi final where they will be playing the host nation morroco, it won’t be an easy game as the Moroccan team will be hoping to take their revenge for what Nigeria did to their female football team in the just concluded wafcon. But I believe that the Nigerian super eagles have all it takes to go all out and win that game.

The dynamic playing style of both Osihmen and Lookman was used to unlock another pattern of attack for a 4-4-2 formation. They both press hard and attack spontaneously!. I think if the Super Eagles keep up this spirit against Morocco, then we are likely to head to the final without a doubt.

At time whenever I remembered the supper eagles eliminations from the world cup qualifier, it pains me much because after thier performances in world qualifier, they have well improved on thier game strategies and standard, some times I feel like, how I wish these efforts were being put into the thier matches played during  world qualifier, supper eagles would have gone so far, but anyway that's the game.

However, in today's match between Nigeria and  Algeria, it was a great turnout to me and it became my own favour, I don't know what's going to happen in thier next match with 🇲🇦 Morocco, but I can still give Nigeria a straight winning in the next coming match. Someone said "Eric changed his life". That's just a testament of the current performances of the super eagles. It's not just the fact that they're winning games but also because they do so by outplaying their opponents with such beautiful football. I've watched Super Eagles play over the years and I think this is the first time we're playing entertaining football. This is just my opinion.

Playing 2 strikers has also been +EV for the team and I love to see it.

The Super Eagles have being exceptional in this tournament and have handled every one of their fixture quite well.  Should they have qualified for the FIFA World Cup, they certainly wouldn’t have being able to perform at this level in this tournament.

Every aspect of the team looks fixed, Osimhen continues to find the net and was very unselfish today, knowing that he wasn’t well placed and gave that assist to Adams despite the fact that, it was a 1 vs 1 with the goalkeeper. Algeria is out and Nigeria once again takes the lead.

No hyping but I don't think there's any team that plays more better than the Super Eagles, if you ask me about last AFCON the Eagles are not even close to the top 5 teams to win the competition or get to the finals because we have Senegal, Cameroon, Ivory Coast the host even Algeria was doing better than they are now so this performance is the best I have seen in a long while for the Eagles. Now Morocco haven't played a side that is as good as Nigeria both in the attack and defense, is like if the don't get to the finals they have failed the supporters, is normal to feel that way and that's why they are always trying to get the first goal in every game they play, they are not as good as they are hyped.

It is obvious that all Nigerians are happy with the performance of the super Eagles in the ongoing African Nations, but when I remember that Nigeria was unable to qualify for the World Cup, I feel so sad. Was it as a matter of negligence that made Nigeria not to qualify for the World Cup? You can attest with me that the quality of the teams that are playing the African Nations Cup is more formidable than the teams we met during the World Cup qualification. The big question is why we were unable to qualify for the World Cup. It still pains me till now...

Honestly speaking I feel angry for seeing us play the way we are playing currently but couldn't do more in the world cup qualifiers, that is the biggest show in football history to represent your country and the players we have now haven't played in the world cup before, almost all the first 11 correct me if I'm wrong but all the same, the game we are playing is still among the best tournament in Africa. When we get prepared fully the rest comes in without much questions but lack of preparation was the cause of the Eagles not in the world cup, for the record, this performance we are showcasing in this AFCON is a World Cup standard but too bad we could not be part of it. Focusing on the game at hand should be the number 1 thing we the supporters, players and even all the coaching staff should be concerned about and not a ticket we lost to play for the world cup.
