WAFCON is going on and I have not seen by discussion about the tournament here. Zambia beat Egypt 6-0 yesterday and Malawi bet Nigeria 2-3 yesterday. And today there are two matches. Ghana vs Cape Verde by 7:00:00 and Cameron vs Mli by 9:00:00. Nigeria is the defending champions of the Women African Cup of Nations WAFCON.
Nigeria defense was very poor yesterday and the positioning of the goalkeeper was bad and that created a lot of chances for Malawi women to score more goals. Zambia is leading the group stage. Nigerian captain Ajibade said, they will do will to win their next matches and she apologized. Nigeria next match is with Zambia which is the leading team in the group stage.

A lot of people don't take women's football seriously the way they take men's football seriously, that's why you haven't seen any discussion about the ongoing Women African Cup of Nations. The Super Falcon let us down against Malawi, after they broke the deadlock in the 73th minute and doubled their lead to 2-0 in the 79th minute I believe they will walk away with the three points but I don't know what they were thinking that Malawi women had to score three goals in 15 minutes to come from two goals down to win the match 3-2.

Thanks for this highlights, I don't know why many of our gamblers don't really focus much on the Women's African Cup of Nations, unlike the way they put more attention on the AFCON, but it is good to see that our Nigerian women are doing well in this and could also make us proud as always, I wonder how Egypt was given 6 goals, what is happening with their women over there, are they too religious to be involved in sport activities or their only part of those women that belong to the kitchen and the other room, 6 goals is way too far.

Women football isn't as interesting as the men, and no gambler will have the passion to bet on women football competition because I am clueless about their performance and don't even know any big name in the teams. I hardly watch their games instead, of me to bet on such match, I will prefer to play Slot.

I'm on the same page with you, I've been a football lover in my entire life, I watch and I play as well, but I've not really sat down and watched female football matches from the beginning to the end, I always stop halfway because of lack of interest and their inability to impress my eyes, that's why I respect journalist a lot, especially football journalist, because regardless of how uninteresting the game might be, they still stick to watching it and still giving their remark. Am also part of the people that don’t take women’s football serious. I don’t always watch it because it’s always boring to me, I can’t just imagine myself seat and be watching women football. I heard the super eagles lost their first match, and people complained about their poor defense in the match. Super eagles are having quality players, at least have watched how some of them played in the past, and how they performed, they play better, and am sure they going to improve in their next match.

Their next match is going to be with Zambia, am sure they going to work on their performance, since they lost their first match against Malawi, and I will try to watch the match.

Thanks for the link, i was even searching for it because with football channels watching the WAFCON highlight is hard. Nigeria match was unbelievable and I was even pitying Malawi women for meeting the wrong country but it turn out that Malawi overpowered them and Nigeria goalkeeper was not helpful because the first and second goals was all her faults, the way she was running was as if she didn't had much training before the tournament but however they should make up to this lost from there next match if not the best winner will become a group stage loser. Meanwhile the current match we  have is Senegal and they're wining 1:0 to Kenya.

Poor Kenya! Five goals conceded, with no goal from them in this tournament.  My honest opinion is that they are already out. They have to fix their defence issues and goal scoring challenges. They had chances of making the game even and also sharing the spoils tonight but they failed to do so.

Algeria will have to fight against Morocco ladies. What I saw in the first fixture, Morocco will tear Algeria in smaller parts.

Today was Kenya second lost, they conceded four goals at the first and this match they conceded one goal so obviously they are no longer on the tournament because from three countries they have lost two and even if they squeeze out three points from Algeria they are going to face they wouldn't recover on the group with it. You were right Morocco actually did break Algeria but it was one goal they got and they have six point but however Algeria still got a chance for the second in the group if they can win one more match from Kenya then the six points will give them what they want.

Both team are not even convincing for me to want to give the best performance in that match. I don’t know what the super falcons were doing to concede three goals within that short period of time. For the super falcons to have also come back with two goals in that short time, it also shows how weak the Malawian team is and can conceded more goals if the super falcons were given more time in this match. This is a poor start to the super falcons, we hope they prevail in their next two game of the group stage in order to get a qualification to the next round of the competition. They are the best female team in Africa, we expect nothing less than victory of winning the competition.

Just a match into the tournament with two more to go for the group stage, I believe it was a set back for them as they only lost with a goal, it's something to cheer about, with that loss they will be eager for a win in their match match. Hopefully, next match will yield something positive for them, that team is so resilient and I believe they will make it out from that group to the next stage.

Yet Spain ended up winning the competition. Zambia whitewashed Egypt by six goals, which shows that the North African side might be weak. But this shouldn't in any case mean that the Falcons should underestimate them. A win against Egypt and, hopefully, a draw or win against Zambia might take us to the next phase.

A quick run down on the ongoing Women African Cup of Nations, WAFCON 2026 so far. It has been an intriguing tournament and I don't know if you have taken your time to watch most of the games and you will notice some teams who fans believed to be the best performing badly. South Africa played well but lost to Tanzania, Nigeria too impressed but still lost to Malawian Chawinga sisters. Let me just give a run down;

Zambia 6:0 Egypt, Nigeria 2:3 Malawi

So far I can say that Morocco, and Zambia are leading by goals and Morocco has already qualified with 6 points. To win their table, Nigeria will need to Win Zambia and Egypt to keep their hope alive. I trust our Super Falcons to deliver on this, they have always been well to do when it comes to how they performed and play in a coordinated manner, if you don't be intimidated by how Egypt was beaten to the floor by Zambia, that doesn't mean that our super falcons will not also do well to make us proud in this we are, at some point in time, I do develop more confidence even in super falcons performance than the super Eagles, this is just a fact I discover and I might be wrong anyway but I want to hear our own opinion regarding it.

Maybe winning the trophy many times has made the Super Falcons not take this competition very seriously because the defeat to debutants Malawi has gone down as one of the biggest upsets of this Women's African Cup of Nations. They can no longer afford to lose any more games; otherwise, they do not qualify for the next round of the competition.

The defeat to Malawi exposed a major weakness in the Super Falcons team, something that they need to work on going forward if they intend to actually defend their title in this competition. They need to improve on their defensive capabilities because how can a team like Malawi score three goals against Super Falcons, who are known to be defensively solid?

I hope the Zambians do not study and follow the same blueprint that the Malawians followed to be able to get a victory. If they do and the Super Falcons have not corrected their errors, it will be another defeat.

I don't like women's football either but I will watch Super Falcon matches in the ongoing Women African Cup of Nations to give them my support as a Nigerian. Yes, the Super Falcon lost their first match against Malawi women, I did not watch the match, but for Malawi to score three goals in the dying minutes I agree the Super Falcon defended poorly, which led to their loss.

That is the truth, I even got to know about the women football myself yesterday, when someone was giving me a gist about it in real life, on how many goals Nigerian girls were beaten with, by Malawi girls.
People don't actually talk much about women football even if they happen to watch the matches, I'm not even a fan of women football, as it is, after the FIFA world cup, I have been waiting for the legaue football to kick off, I'm very happy that next month is already here, it means we'll be counting in days from tomorrow, although it is not as if I have not watched women football before, but consider me as one of those people that do not take women football serious or interesting like that of the men football.

One of the women competition that’s very interesting and have people coming to watch in large numbers and also gets the whole media attention is the FIFA Women World Cup, every other competition is not as exciting as those ones. The passion and energy that women showcase in the field of play is not really interesting and I know this is because of their strength and ability which is very different from the male counterparts. I also feel some sports should be exclusive for men only but women also wants to participate in all and given them a chance is not a bad idea either.

The journalists that keep up with those games and give analysis of them are doing their jobs and if they don’t do it, they won’t get paid. So it doesn’t matter how interesting or uninteresting the game is, as long as it’ll pay their bills they’ll do it.
