Hey V.Coinz, I'm no expert coder but I was poking around the Vcoin and Darkcoin code/github and it seems there was an issue but the DRK developers were aware of it and worked around it.  What version of DRK were you originally working from?  If you were working with v0.9.3.3 or earlier the "Dark Gravity Wave" had issues on certain architectures.  I would update to 9.3.4 asap and take a closer look at the Proof of Work checks in main.cpp in the older versions of DRK for more info.

Like I said I'm no expert coder so I can't help much with actually fixing it but I do have a windows and linux (ubuntu) box at ~ 5 MH total I can throw on a testnet if you need help testing different architectures.  Sorry if this is pointing out something you already knew, just wanted to throw in my two cents as there haven't been many updates.

We coin the VC community, we are optimistic that we will eventually promote the VC.
First of all, we need a good exchange market. Bittrex would be great.

Dev, I looked into it some more and I believe the issue is definitely because VCoin is still based on V2 of the Dark Gravity Wave.  Update the source to use DarkGravityWave3 (found in current DRK source).  As stated on the DRK wiki "Version 3.0 was implemented on May 14 of 2014 to further improve difficulty re-targeting with smoother transitions. It also fixes issues with various architectures that had different levels of floating-point accuracy through the use of integers".  http://wiki.darkcoin.eu/wiki/Dark_Gravity_Wave .

I don't mean to be pushy but for whatever reason I like this coin and I want to see it succeed.

Bittrex requires a block explorer.

Expect complete new X11 code for VirtualCoin in few hrs.

...and no, you will not loose your coins, nor it is not a relaunch, but a major code upgrade. (just thought of adding this line)

My guess is we are under 900,000 total coins right now.  Below is my post from a while back when we were on block 27777, we're currently on 42865.  Not sure when the block rewards got reduced to 16VC and then 12.8VC.  So he's my rough calculation which I just averaged out each block to 14.4VC:

up to block 27777 = 645540
27777 to 42865 =  217267.2

Total =  862807.2VC

Hope that helps.  This coin can go to great heights once the dev releases the new x11 code and we get on an exchange. Dev, make it happen Captain!

Anyone know the actual total number of Virtual Coins out there at the moment?  I just did some rough estimates and I think we're only around 500k or so.  Since there were only 3000blocks valued at 50VC = 150,000 and the rest ranged from 5VC to 20VC.  We're only on block 27777.  So that leaves 24777 blocks valued at 5-20. Even if you take 24777 x 20 = 495540 + 150000 = 645540 VC's and we are definately lower than that since I didn't average out the 24777 blocks.  So say Virtual coin is worth $1.  The marketcap will only be around $600k.  So freaken low! Keep mining guys.  I don't think we can lose here!  Grin
