After 2 weeks passed the top 4 looks really interesting. 



There is no Fenerbahçe or Beşiktaş. I thought both of them would make a better start than this after seeing their transfers. Galatasaray are the team with the least number of transfers among them but they have started better.

On the upcoming days it looks like they are also going to start bringing more players. Pape Sarr and Ismaila Sarr both are targets for them currently. However I have heard Crystal Palace asks for €60m as for Ismaila Sarr. Is that for real?

as a Galatasaray fan, i will definetely be following Trabzonspor's matches this season. Neither Fenerbahçe nor Beşiktaş has players that are fun to watch in their squads.
having good players is one thing but entertainment value is another. and Trabzonspor definitely has that...

Mason Greenwood has shown great form in the matches he's played against Fenerbahçe so far. I think he was the best player on the team in the pre-season matches as well. Currently, the biggest problem is the injury to Marko Asensio, who creates space for him and helps him in attack with his passes. Perhaps this will reduce his effectiveness and productivity. However, he will definitely be one of Fenerbahçe's best attacking players. He uses the wings very dangerously and shows his finishing ability with long-range shots. Fenerbahçe is lucky to have him, and I think he will be the best transfer of the year.

On the other hand, Trabzonspor is experiencing similar enjoyable moments with Mohamed Salah. Salah put on a show in the last match, and Trabzonspor managed to win. I've read that they've now started negotiations for his former Liverpool teammate Fabinho. Trabzonspor is prepared to win the championship this year, and the transfers show this. The management is perhaps overseeing the best transfer period in Trabzonspor's history.

The Turkish league has done wonders this summer. They've brought in top players for example Lukaku , Salah, Greenwood. The league will start getting its popularity like that of the Saudi pro league. Salah is in a team that doesn't often compete for the league title, this wiill reduce alot of pressure off him unlike the one he faced last season at Liverpool. He is really go to do well, but what I disagree is you saying he will be the greatest quality in the Turkish league. Where will you now place Osihmen, who has been dominating the league for the last 2 year's? I rate osihmen as the current best player in that league

How much teams spend in the transfer market is not a yardstick that they will do well in the season. That said, whether Fernabache and Besiktas get off to a poor start does not really matter, the important thing is to finish the season stronger. They can pick themselves up and might even finish above some of the clubs you have on the snapshot.

Although the start is good for Galatasaray, I am thinking about the whole season. The teams have been performing as expected since the second week. Although there are a total of 18 teams in the Turkish league, there will be only three teams fighting for the title and people will be watching these three teams. Galatasaray is a very strong team, Fenerbahçe and Trabzonspor have also increased their strength by signing two star players this season. Mohamed Salah has already started to prove himself, his consistent performance will help Trabzonspor to get a good position. Lukaku has not seen any goals yet for Fenerbahçe. Maybe we will see goals from him very soon.

Whether Salah might have a superior career compared to Anelka or Hagi is not actually what matters most; what truly counts is what he contributes to Trabzonspor. For instance, there is a return leg against Ferencváros coming up on Thursday. If he showcases his talents in that match and helps Trabzonspor advance to the next round, then—in my eyes—he will truly become a great player.

If it were merely a matter of career achievements, consider Carlos: he had a far more impressive career than Salah and won many more trophies, yet his time in Türkiye did not have the same impact.

Hagi did not arrive at Galatasaray with massive fame, but over time, he added immense value to the club, and he grew in stature alongside it.

Referee errors in the Turkish Super League are significant enough to influence the outcome of a match. They used to do this discreetly in previous seasons, but this season they’ve been making unfair calls without hesitation right from the very first matches. I don’t understand what gives them the confidence to make such decisions. This situation is nothing short of throwing the millions of euros spent by the clubs down the drain. The referees are having a negative impact on Turkish soccer, and they’ve formed a powerful lobby. Someone needs to put an end to this now. Because thanks to the referees, there’s no joy left in watching the games. It’s as if they’ve sworn to destroy Turkish soccer.

2 goals from 2 Super Lig games, in the first game against Kasimpasa, Salah came off the bench, leaving him with little time to score. However, in this second game, he dispelled all doubts surrounding him by scoring 2 goals. Unfortunately, Trabzonspor isn't the strongest team in the league, we still have Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe & Beşiktaş, so we can't expect Salah to bring the league title to the club. By the way, Trabzonspor has the potential to compete in the Europa League, before that, they must turn things around in the second leg against the Hungarian club.

Mohamed Salah is an incredible player for a team like Trabzonspor because he shows he can make a difference even at 34, and just look at the way he moves into open spaces. Victor Osimhen is incredible too; scoring four goals in two games, that’s his average when he’s in the mood to play. It’s a shame he’s sometimes out of form and lacks consistency, but I could still see him doing well at Arsenal or Barcelona. I’m pleased to see that Vlahović’s Beşiktaş lost, because this player isn’t very professional and deserves to lose; he left Juventus for the money and to join a big club, but ended up having to settle for Beşiktaş.

However I was surprised that Mohamed Salah's team Trabzonspor lost to Ferencvarosi in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League play-offs.

The UEFA Europa League play-offs were probably more important for this team than the Turkish Super League, but this one of the most reliable players in Egypt could not shine there. Since he has already scored two goals, so it seems that he is behind Victor Osimhen in terms of goals as the Nigerian player has managed to score four goals. As you say, Victor Osimhen will play better at Arsenal or Barcelona, but this rumor may not be true because the Turkish league club Galatasaray may be able to keep their best player for the upcoming season.

This is the natural play for Salah actually. It is who he is normally. I'm just wondering how often we will see that from him during the season. Because his last season at Liverpool wasn't that impressive.

What did the referee, who failed to show a red card to an Alanyaspor player at the start of the match, discuss with the VAR room for whole 3 minutes? It's clear they're following orders again. It's simply incomprehensible that the referee didn't issue a single card in a match with so many fouls. Apparently, this referee's average number of cards per match is 4.5. All of this defies the normal course of events. All the referees and those who assigned them to this match need to be investigated. There could be match-fixing involved. These aren't normal occurrences.

Just look at the issues we're discussing in only the second week of the league. Unfortunately nothing has changed in this country.

Salah was fantastic today, and he didn't just score his first goal for the club but a brace as well. What a way to announce himself in the league. I hope he can go on to be an important player for Trabzonspor like he did at Liverpool. All focus now will be on the Europa League tie against Ferencváros on Thursday. Trabzonspor were beaten in the first leg. The second leg will be in Turkey, and I hope Trabzonspor can win and qualify for the competition. I do want to see Salah play in Europe.

Hacıosmanoğlu—the current TFF president and former Trabzonspor president—used to go on TV and make scathing comments whenever refereeing errors went against Trabzonspor in the past. Major errors occurred against both Fenerbahçe in the first week and us (Beşiktaş) in the most recent match. Both we and Fenerbahçe dropped three points, yet we didn't see the TFF president appearing on TV to comment on it.
Why did he make such a huge fuss when it involved Trabzonspor? Because he is a Trabzonspor fan.

I don't believe referees make errors deliberately—especially those officiating on the pitch—because split-second situations mean some incidents can be missed. However, I absolutely do not accept what happens with VAR.
What exactly are they reviewing for ages during the incident where Fenerbahçe won a penalty? The ball hit the hand; it was a clear penalty.

Commentators on TV argue that the ball wasn't moving toward the hand, or that the player was pulling his hand away, or that the hands were in a "natural position." Come on, give it a rest; the ball hit the player's hand. It’s a penalty, plain and simple.

If a penalty hadn't been awarded to Fenerbahçe in that situation—and if they had dropped points—all hell would have broken loose right from the very first week.
Referees need to be extremely careful.

It is only the third week, and the referees are already the talk of the town again. Whatever happened to the plan to use chipped balls in our matches? What was the logic behind spending two minutes reviewing the first goal Salah scored yesterday? VAR spent two minutes reviewing that match, but I don't know if there was even a review during the Alanya-Beşiktaş game! Had there been a review, Aliti would have received a red card.

Mahmut Uslu made a statement after the match in the first week but subsequently received a heavy penalty: a 15-day ban from football-related activities and a 2.5 million TL fine.
Yesterday, Ertuğrul Doğan criticized the referee and the federation after the match; let's see what kind of penalty he will face.

It doesn't seem normal to me to have so many refereeing errors this early in the season.
VAR was introduced, but even that hasn't been the solution.

It was thought that with the help of the VAR there would be no more refereeing errors, but unfortunately they happen a lot.

They should help more to avoid making mistakes, i don't know what happens in the VAR room if it's a technical problem or something else; i hope they will try not to make any more mistakes and improve the VAR or whoever is behind the VAR.

How could he possibly surpass Alex and Hagi in just three seasons? I mean, Alex is one thing, but no foreign player in Turkey has yet matched Hagi's achievements.
The level of performance Hagi delivered in the UEFA Cup and the Super Cup speaks for itself—and that’s not even counting the Turkish league.
I know how good Salah is, but he needs at least two or three more quality players alongside him. Fabinho has arrived, but even that isn't enough; a quality striker is essential.

We watched a Mohamed Salah show tonight. He scored twice to earn his team three points as they beat Başakşehir FK 2–1. The Salah effect, I guess. He really is a special player.

Salah is almost always fantastic when demonstrating his dribbling technique. I started following him when he was playing for Liverpool, and I truly thought he could have won the 2025 Ballon d’Or instead of Dembele. Trabzonspor should be very proud to have him in their squad now.

Regarding the second leg against Ferencvaros, I’m not sure. Trabzonspor has home advantage, but I’m not certain whether their defense will be able to neutralize Ferencvaros’s attacks. For me, the best option would probably be not to bet on either side in the upcoming match.
