Turkey in the last world cup created a lot of chances and had too many shots but couldnt score and i think that was the only problem in the last world cup. I think he kept his job because he qualified for the world cup and created a lot of chances. Maybe they didnt score but i still think there were a lot of positive things, but lets see in the upcoming games how they will play.
This is why I can't see Montella as an incapable coach or someone who hasn't been able to field an effective team. Because Turkey didn't play badly during the World Cup, but they weren't able to materialize and left the competition too early. I think it was very bad luck and that the Turkish club knows the value that Montella gave to the team. The Turkish national team hasn’t had a good striker in a very long time. Do you know Burak Yılmaz? He was an amazing striker who led Lille to the Ligue 1 title. Since then, the Turkish national team hasn’t been able to find a good striker. Today, Galatasaray has Osimhen, Fenerbahçe has Vedat and Lukaku, Beşiktaş has Vlahovic, and Trabzonspor has Salah. Montella made some mistakes, but he managed to lead the Turkish national team to the World Cup despite facing enormous challenges. Those who criticize him fail to see this reality. Anyone who looks at the situation objectively can actually see that Montella did a good job... This is the Turkish League thread, yet what you are saying concerns the national team. Montella isn't a failure, but one thing must be pointed out: I wonder just how many of the players called up to the squad are actually chosen by him. There were strikers more successful than Burak Yılmaz, though it isn't easy to mention their names in Türkiye. He is the player who scored the fastest goal in World Cup history; compared to him, Burak Yılmaz pales in comparison. Those who know, know who I'm talking about.

Galatasaray without Osimehn is like a dog that cannot bite. We've seen it happen again and again. He's the one carrying the team on his shoulders, and any time he gets injured, the team tends to struggle. The good news for Galatasaray is that the injury is not serious. He was scheduled to be on the sidelines for 3 weeks. He has already been out for 2 weeks, and it's just a week remaining. The international break will also work in his favour, as it will allow the medical team to avoid rushing his recovery process. By the time the league resumes on Oct 10th, I think he should be fully recovered and ready for the upcoming games.
Let's say that being Osimen at Galatasaray gives you a very important contractual leverage, his condition and permanence being a reason for an absolute difference for the club, because when he plays the team also has a truly fundamental offensive point of reference and you can see it from the performances that the team has with or without him.

If Beşiktaş had won the match, they would have taken the lead, and the opposing team knew this. Week 6 has now ended, and there is no clear leader. I think the teams that will continue to compete for the rest of the season will become clear in the weeks following the international break. Right now, Fenerbahçe could pick up where they left off, as could Galatasaray and Beşiktaş. I hope the players on these teams don’t get injured during the international break.
I didn’t expect Besiktas to lose the game, even though they were the away team. Besiktas has been one of the best team in the Turkish league this season. They are fighting for the league title after signing more players to strengthen their performances. But Besiktas and Galatasaray lost their game before the international break, only Fenerbahçe managed to win their game after terrible start of the season. Let’s see what happens after the international break. Osimhen cannot play now, he won't participate in the international break, Galatasaray team doctors are not stupid enough to allow him to participate in the AFCON qualification competition when the player's safety is at risk, and they have been struggling since his absence from matches.
Osimhen can sit back, Eric Chelle brought us another deadly striker who can win us the games in the qualifiers.
Even Osimehn will not risk himself to representing his country after he has been absent for many weeks now. He missed the Champions League game against Sporting and since that time they have been struggling to win their games. We have other players who can replace him and win other games. Osimehn is not the only striker to represent his country.

And who are those players? I can’t remember the last time Galatasaray won a match so comfortably without Osimhen. No one else on the team is a true center forward. That’s why, when Osimhen isn’t there, someone else has to play center forward, and their performance suffers. Everyone should be able to play in their natural position, but the squad doesn’t have enough depth for that.

This isn't the best place to discuss that NT though. As for Galatasaray forwards, I think it's early to judge Deniz Gül. He's just joined the team. Galatasaray have good winders but no other striker than Osimhen and that's just a big problem for them. If Deniz won't make a big impact, Galatasaray managements gamble on the forward position could end up costing them dearly. They should've signed a really good backup striker while they had the chance.

Meanwhile on the aspect of Galatasaray team you are right the club has not been stable since then, actually it happen when there is nothing the team could do, Buruk has tried deferent means in other to get the force they needed but was not able to, the only time Galatasaray was comfortable on this league was those four times Osimhen was there. If it was on the time when Fenerbahce was a rival team Galatasaray would have been way below them.

He is talking about the Nigerian national team. There is no way this person follows the Turkish league and Galatasaray that closely. I also think what he said about the Nigerian national team is correct. Osimhen is valued most highly at Galatasaray. He is an important player for the Nigerian national team, too, but not to the same extent as he is at Galatasaray.

Today, Galatasaray has Osimhen, Fenerbahçe has Vedat and Lukaku, Beşiktaş has Vlahovic, and Trabzonspor has Salah.
This might be minute but it’s becoming a trend and a lot of people are subconsciously getting accustomed to it. The fact that Trabzonspor signed Mohammed Salah doesn’t make him the face of the club and bigger than Paul Onuachu who led them to cup title last season and was their best player. Yes, Mo Salah may be the bigger player cause he has had a better career but in this Trabzonspor team, it’s Paul Onuachu and he also won the golden boot last season. I think due respect should be given to him.

For me I believe this Victor Osimhen's injury is not as serious as we think, just that Galatasaray are faking the injury not to lose him to injury when he comes playing for the Super Eagles. Look at the case of Cole Palmer, he played their last game against Brentford and before Sunday they was declared unfit to join the 3 Lions, same as Rice and some other players in the England squad I could not remember, they clubs are not ready to risk their key players so for Victor Osimhen it doesn't say anything different, the club is protecting him from my afcon injury, he is their main man and no time to take any high risk.
If his doctors says he is unfit to play in international games, that means he is unfit and he won't go against his doctor advised. Galatsaray will not stop him not to play for his country if he is fit simply because they are afraid he could sustain injury in the tournament, osimhen is a big player and can decide for himself. But currently,he is injured and he isn't fit to play in any competitions. I think you shouldn't jump into conclusion because his injury might be serious than you think,i think if his injury weren't serious, his doctors wouldn't have announced that he is unfit to play for the super eagles. I hope he recovers quickly because his absence has reflected in Galatsaray performance. You guys are not getting me at all, anything that would help the club grow the management would do it, this isn't about being fit or not, this is a game they are the ones pulling the strings, we all know he's injured, yes he is but the media will always tell us what we want to hear and you guys are buying is very well. I said with or without Osimhen the Super Eagles will beat Madagascar so for me I'm not jumping into conclusion I'm only stating the fact that you find difficult to understand, this isn't the game to push out the best players to engage in, the club too need this guy to help them retain their title and without him is like playing full 90'mins without a shot on target, let's forget it, the Madagascar game is not that important but if it has to do with countries like Ghana, Ivory Coast, South Africa, Cameroon, do you think he won't have join the squad? Have said it all.

Right now, Mo Salah is being treated like a hero at Trabzonspor. If Messi were to come to Trabzon, however, Mo Salah would be forgotten, and Messi would become the new trend. Mo Salah wasn't a signing requested by the former manager, Fatih Tekke. I don't know what the president was thinking when he made this move, but while Trabzonspor played excellent football last year, this season they have become dependent on Mo's performance. Muçi and Onuachu haven't performed well at all so far. The team's system has been disrupted. Fatih Tekke left, and Reis took over; the football system is now built around Mo. If Mo gets injured, tough times lie ahead for Trabzonspor.

I agree with you because if Victor Osimhen wanted to fake an injury he would have waited till the last game of Galatasaray before he would have been declared unfit to play for the Nigerian national team but this isn't the case since he was already out of Galatasaray squad for weeks due to an injury. I don't agree with what Sexylizzy2813 said either, it's a baseless assumption. We know that some teams do fake injury or the fitness of a key player when they are called for International duty but it mostly happens when the club has a future important match or they have a must win match in the domestic league. Moreover, the season is very young, I don't see any reason why clubs will want to protect their players from attending International duties just because they're trying to shield them from getting injured.
I believe that in those circumstances it all depends on the player, whether he wants to participate with his national team or not. Because passing off a fake injury as something real so as not to go and play matches for one's country, i find it truly unjustifiable, because there would be players all over the world willing to give false cards just to have the same opportunity.

Their performance usually drops if they don't have him, the game against Trabzonspor was shocking. Mo Salah single handedly trashed Galatasaray. Galatasaray team now looks like it's built around Osimhen, even when they current posses 2 deadly wingers. Osimhen is very aggressive offensively in both pressing and goal scoring. I hope he recovers quickly.

Of course, a mistake made at the beginning of the league can change the champion at the end. We can call this the butterfly effect. Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray have been in a championship race for several years, but the referee isn't solely to blame. Fenerbahçe has struggled to win against Galatasaray in recent years. Especially under Jose Mourinho, they haven't won a single derby match. You can't win the championship if you can't win derby matches. This year they've also started poorly and already have two losses. Blaming the referees at the end of the season is, in my opinion, childish.
There are those matches that happen in which the referees actually make such serious errors that they ultimately affect the matches. However, placing the sole blame on the referees for a season that went badly is certainly not an indication of maturity nor even of truth, the teams must take their responsibilities.

They need to fix this ASAP otherwise whenever he decides to live and I believe he would want to in the future, their team could fall apart if they are over-reliant on him, and it would take a long time before they can rebuild their team again.
I thought that by adding Leao to their list of attackers that they would be able to get a bit more to do more bite than bark but maybe he is yet to adapt to life in Turkey.
I would say that apart from the first match, where he managed to make an assist, the start of Leao's adventure in Turkey was not the best, given the many boos that were given to him and the many criticisms that came for a player who actually doesn't seem to bring the desire needed in a team that needs it.

Galatasaray is powerless without Osimhen, and any time Osimhen is injured they can not win a match, that team need to know how to play without Osimhen, because if they don’t know how to play without him it will always affect them, no one can remember the last time Galatasaray won their match without Osimhen, they got beating by Trabzonspor like a small team, Mo Salah even scored and attrick, and the worst part is that Galatsaray can not even score a single goal in the game. Although i still believe that Galatasaray is the favourite to win the league this season because they have a good squad, the season just started and Osimhen will be back after the international break, they will be back at the top and start winning matches, but they have to learn how to play without Osimhen, so that they can win matches whenever he is not around or get injured.

If a club gives a report that a player is injured do you think the national team would question the report? There's something at always happens each time every club wants to go for international break, injuries of players that are important to them, they wouldn't want to let the players go so the injury comes early to make it look real, bro that is what I have noticed so if you haven't then I have seen it that way. I also gave instance of Cole Palmer, played on Friday and on Sunday or before Sunday he was withdrawn from the 3 Lions squad and you say it isn't the club that is protecting their own? There are some international games that isn't needed to stress the players but it must be played, like when Arsenal was struggling and battling to win the league sometime ago last season, just this same period, Brazil wasn't playing for anything just a friendly game, in that game Gabriel was injured (forgotten the country they played against) and it almost cost the Gunners some of their game and if Arteta had given that report or him being injured do you think he would have gone? We should understand how the game works this time around, nobody wants his best to get injured for some stupid game that doesn't matter, this game Nigeria will play against Madagascar I see it as a workout, without Victor Osimhen the Super Eagles will win the game so Galatasaray are using that injury to hold the man back and I like it that way, he's the only man that can do well as a striker for the club, without him they lost and watch in the next 2 to 3 games he'd be cleared. Football is not how we see it these days.
I think that Osimhen is one of those players who has every intention and good will to play for his country and represent his national team. So i don't want to think that there was also his part in what is described as a feint to let him rest during the national break, but i believe that the fact of his injury is true.

This is the Turkish League thread, yet what you are saying concerns the national team.
There isn’t a specific thread dedicated to the Turkish national team in this section. I think you’re looking in the wrong place again. Besides, we’re talking about forwards in the Turkish league, and that naturally relates to the national team. What’s more, similar references have been made repeatedly by other users in previous versions of this thread... Montella isn't a failure, but one thing must be pointed out: I wonder just how many of the players called up to the squad are actually chosen by him.
In my opinion, this is one of the silliest claims made about Montella. Why would Montella stay on the job in a situation like that? If something like that had happened, he would have hinted at it in some way by now. Talking about things that didn’t happen is, in my opinion, very silly... There were strikers more successful than Burak Yılmaz, though it isn't easy to mention their names in Türkiye. He is the player who scored the fastest goal in World Cup history; compared to him, Burak Yılmaz pales in comparison. Those who know, know who I'm talking about.
Scoring the fastest goal is a random achievement that no one expects. That goal could just as easily have been an own goal. It was a scramble. Success isn’t a one-time event. Success is about achieving long-term results. It’s about turning a mid-table team like Lille into a champion. Burak Yılmaz achieved that, and he did it after turning 35. When Burak Yılmaz goes to France today, he’s welcomed like royalty. But no one abroad even knows your “scramble goal scorer.”

I heard the news that Dusan Vlahović won't miss any matches for Beşiktaş it seemed like a more serious injury was being discussed initially, but regardless, this is important news for the club. The fact that he won't miss a single game is excellent news. Beşiktaş needs Vlahović's experience and his contributions in every match he really energizes the team. He will be playing in the Kocaelispor match, followed by the game against Trabzonspor the next week.
Given the start that Vlahovic has had in the championship with Besiktas, i would say that it is the team that is better off avoiding doing without him, because he has already managed to bring home a notable amount of goals which will certainly boost morale for the whole team and also for the fans. Therefore it will be better if he can play the matches.

Today I listened to Serdal Adalı's speech on TV. What he said about planning was very positive. Graf staying on, Önder Özen working in harmony with him and the signing of Italiano, these are all positive developments. The president also offered some self-criticism. He acknowledged that it was a mistake that some transfers didn't go through. For example, it's very clear that we need a backup for Salih at the number 6 position or a player who's even better than him. However, this didn't happen during the Summer transfer window. He said they'll make up for it in the Winter. That's encouraging. They're aware of the problem and are trying to find a solution.
He also mentioned the mistakes made against Beşiktaş. We should talk about this more often because there have been serious injustices this season. These things shouldn't happen in upcoming matches, we want to see a fair competition.
What i see is that there is the responsible part of a society that understands its own needs and its own need to improve itself, which is the best thing. When a company understands where there are flaws and decides to admit it and improve on the situation, it means that there is a company ready to improve.

I heard the news that Dušan Vlahović won't miss any matches for Beşiktaş it seemed like a more serious injury was being discussed initially, but regardless, this is important news for the club. The fact that he won't miss a single game is excellent news. Beşiktaş needs Vlahović's experience and his contributions in every match he really energizes the team. He will be playing in the Kocaelispor match, followed by the game against Trabzonspor the next week.
Bro, I find it strange to say this about Dušan Vlahović already because we don't know what will happen in the future. He could pick up an injury at any time because this is football. Of course he wouldn't want to get injured but player bodies don't always do what they want them to. It would obviously be very good for his team if he played in every match but I think it's difficult to say that already.
