There are odds that Galatasaray is the most favourite for the Turkish league trophy this season, this is because they've done so well in their previous season, and with their performances in the champions league last season and the way they play, especially as Victor Osimhen is in front, they see them as favourite for the tittle, I won't blame them because they are following what they know, and what they think will possibly be the outcome. But this season hasn't really been the best for Galatasaray in terms of their performances. They are trying, but I think the injury to some of their key players is actually affecting them.
They need to belt up because some of the underrated team in the league is actually showing that they can surprise them. Despite the fact that the season is still very early, and some teams have not picked form, Besiktas who signed some good players are beginning to show what they are capable of doing, and we just have to wait and see how the end of the season will look like, whether there will be another team to shock Galatasaray at the end of the season or not.
Victor Osimhen has literally taken this team and started dragging it along single-handedly. This isn't to say that the other players in the squad are any less useful, but to highlight how much of a difference it makes whether Osimhen plays or not; his presence on the pitch is absolutely significant and makes itself felt. It's a shame to have lost him in Italy, we could have had more quality.

Today investigations were launched against several Super League club executives on charges of placing bets. This came to light today, following yesterday's MHK fiasco. Trabzonspor president is also one of them. Ertuğrul Doğan admitted to the allegations and said he had placed bets. We're going through some very interesting times.
I wonder what will happen once the international break is over. Who will appoint the referees? What will be the MHK? No one knows what the Federation is planning to do right now. The dark clouds hanging over the league need to clear away. The more we demand a clean league, the more scandals keep coming to light every day.
Let's just say that sweeping things under the rug is becoming increasingly difficult these days, given the highly influential social media world and news spreading like wildfire at an astonishing speed. So, just one incident or a scandal can completely overturn a situation or circumstance in less than a day.

Most casinos list Galatasaray as the favorite to win the championship, with Fenerbahçe close behind, while teams like Beşiktaş and Trabzonspor are given very low odds. So far this season, teams like Trabzonspor and Beşiktaş, despite having such low odds played much better than Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe In my opinion.
Of course, the casinos see what we see, and they base their calculations on that. But I dont think the betting odds align very well with the actual probabilities at the moment.
It's safe to say that until the winter transfer window, Galatasaray isn't currently the only favorite to win the title, given the very limited transfer market and the improvement and strengthening of their opponents. But if they were to make a worthy incoming transfer during the winter break, it would most likely be a real victory.

Right now, Lukaku is only present in name; he hasn't contributed anything in terms of on-field performance, though this is to be expected given that he spent much of last season sidelined by injury. He hasn't yet replicated the level of performance he showed with the national team during his time at Fenerbahçe. In a chat with the press, İsmail Kartal mentioned that Lukaku is improving and will soon be in top form. Asensio has also fully recovered from his injury; if he feels up to it, he could potentially feature in the match against Rizespor. Fenerbahçe will improve; it just needs a little more time.
The reason could be his injuries, or perhaps he simply hasn't reached peak form yet. As of now, Lukaku has not scored a single goal in eight matches. Another possible reason is that he mostly comes on as a substitute, so he doesn’t have much time to make an impact. But I can see that there is quite a positive attitude toward Lukaku at Fenerbahce, and they expect that once he gets into good form, he will be able to get more playing time. Lukaku is a very high-quality footballer with great potential. He hasn't been able to reach the expected physical level since the start of the season, which is why he hasn't had many opportunities to play. I think he will get more playing time in the league and contribute to the team's scoring after the international break. It's been 2-3 months, he's in better physical condition and eager to play. Unless he gets injured, he can make a very positive contribution to the team. We are waiting for this

But I can see that there is quite a positive attitude toward Lukaku at Fenerbahce, and they expect that once he gets into good form, he will be able to get more playing time. He’s in terrible physical shape. He didn’t look good at the World Cup either, but I thought he’d be ready by the start of the league season. However, he arrived in Turkiye in even worse shape. It’s unbecoming of a professional. I think he hasn’t been following the medical staff’s advice. If he is following their advice and is still in this condition, then the situation is more serious than we thought... Lukaku is the ideal type of center forward for the Turkish league. In this league, unlike in modern football, pivot center forwards who can hold their ground against compact defenses, play with their back to the goal, and link up with teammates through passing are quite successful. However, things are never easy for someone like Lukaku, who struggles with obesity and health issues. This league is a professional league in terms of competitiveness...

referee yasin kol, who has officiated a large number of matches in the super league and whose decisions in derbies have sparked controversy, has been taken into custody. after derbies, the focus here is often more on the referee’s calls than on the game itself. if this move will enhance the enjoyment of the matches and reduce the controversy, it’s a good decision. yasin kol’s statements and messages before and after the matches are also coming to light. we’ll see how this all ends up.

We can say this, and not to justify Lukaku, but the playing time he's been given so far—obviously also to monitor his fitness, given that he's coming off a long injury—but his playing time hasn't really allowed him to make a difference, at least in attack.

There are periods when a certain team dominates and then falls. I can say that this year is the year Galatasaray falls. The others are not performing spectacularly either, but I would say that we have an interesting year of Turkish football ahead of us. For me, Galatasaray is still the team with the highest chance, but they are also not themselves this year.
The only thing that's good for Galatasaray is that even the other teams that were thought to be capable of making a difference are progressing at a slow pace this year, because teams like Besiktas or even Fenerbahçe, who have spent a huge amount of money on strengthening their squads, aren't performing as expected. And Galatasaray is certainly using this to their advantage.

I think the odds align. Galatasaray should be the favourite. They are the best team in the division so far, so it's normal that they should have the smallest odds. The only thing I think does not align is that Beşiktaş should not have those big odds compared to Fenerbahçe. Even though Fenerbahçe should have bigger odds, the difference shouldn't be that much. Beşiktaş plays the best football in the league for now. They missed out on an opportunity to top the league when they lost to Amedspor in the last week before the international break. Fenerbahçe has not been that good, and if they don't improve, I think the odds will change. I still have Galatasaray to win the league. Even though they have not convinced me yet, but I believe they will get better.
This is something i also struggle to explain, because Besiktas are playing very well and since Italiano arrived as coach of Besiktas we have seen a clear improvement in the team's performances, while Fenerbahce is still struggling to find their game, despite the various interventions made during the transfer market.

Winning the league title for last 4 seasons, I don't think that happened without reason. Galatasaray has indeed been the most consistent team in the Turkish league, there's no reason for them to get poor results. BTW, do you realize that the current league leader isn't one of the big teams we know? That spot is filled by Amed SK, team that was promoted this season. It's truly strange to see how that small team has managed to survive in the top flight right away. Well, I don't expect anything from them, especially when comparing their story to Leicester City in the PL.

My expectations for Fenerbahçe were even higher after seeing the activity in the transfer market. But they are trying to hurt my expectations by losing points in two consecutive matches. I still have expectations for them because the season has only just begun. I cannot judge them based on only 6 matches and 2 bad matches. I have especially high expectations for Fenerbahçe because of Lukaku's arrival in the team, if he gets the chance to play the whole season, he will definitely be able to take Fenerbahçe to a good position.
I was also expecting Fenerbahçe to do better this year, but what we've seen so far isn't good at all. They spent a lot of money but haven't gotten their money's worth yet. Muriqi was a great signing, they got the striker they needed. But they let Talisca go and that created a huge space on the team. I think Lukaku was an unnecessary signing. He's not at his former level, he's just a name now. If it had been 10 years ago, Lukaku would have been a perfect signing, but now he looks finished. I think Fenerbahçe's biggest mistake was bringing in a low-profile manager to lead the team. I don't think the players (especially foreign players) respect him. If they had brought in another high-profile foreign manager, the team might be in better position. I believe much of what Fenerbahce is failing to achieve is also due to the coach, who, despite his ability, i believe is unable to find the right mechanism and the right harmony between the various players. Because with the team they've managed to assemble, Fenerbahce should at least be able to achieve more satisfying results.

Meanwhile, in the Turkish league, they appear weaker than their rivals this season, which is making the league more exciting.
Galatasaray made very few changes during the summer transfer window. Nevertheless, they still have a strong squad, just like last year, albeit with a very limited number of reserves in attack who have never made a significant impact. Now they have a very difficult match against Barcelona, who are slightly underdogs.

Yes, you are right about that. Fener, Besiktas, and even Trabzon have opened their treasure chests this year, but now the more important question is: are the teams underperforming, or is the Turkish league getting better and better? When was the last time Turkey had two teams in the UCL? I simply don't know, and those are the two questions.

Suffering two defeats in such a short span has been a disappointment for Fenerbahçe. In fact, expectations for the team were high at the start of the season, as they appeared to possess the best squad on paper. even at this early stage of the season, they have already lost two matches and that is without having even faced strong opponents like Galatasaray or Trabzonspor.
And this is what i can't explain. i believe Fenerbahce desperately needs a change on the bench, because the current coach doesn't seem to capitalize on the individual qualities of the players the club has acquired, who are players of a certain caliber who could perform much better if given the right conditions.

Last season, Galatasaray played some strong matches at home in the Champions League. While there were very few league games where they played truly excellent football, Galatasaray has won the title four years in a row simply because the quality of the Turkish league is poor. This year, however, the situation is very different; there are four teams contending for the championship. Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe, and Trabzonspor are also performing well this season. Galatasaray cannot win the title as easily as in previous yearsin fact, they might not win it at all this time around. If Osimhen suffers another injury, it would mean Galatasaray falling out of the title race early on.
But i don't know if Galatasaray was so lucky to get through the group stage, because honestly i didn't see much merit in it, especially because they played a first leg against Juventus that Juventus played really embarrassingly, but in the second leg they really risked going out and probably deserved it, but in reality they managed to get through.

First of all, I’d like to remind everyone that we’re still at the beginning of the season. In other words, Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, Beşiktaş, and Trabzon will start achieving better results. At this point, I don’t think it’s right to criticize them directly. I expect they’ll go on winning streaks in the coming weeks. We have two teams in the Champions League, which clearly shows we’re in a better position than we were last season. Additionally, as a country, we’ve qualified for the World Cup for the first time in 20 years. We’ve advanced to League A in the UEFA Nations League. We aren’t getting great results yet, but we’re on the rise. I think we should view this as a transitional period. If we keep doing what we’re doing, I have no doubt we’ll reach a better place. We’re like that thing that sits somewhere between good and bad...

Yesterday, I watched the friendly match Fenerbahçe played against Turan. During the game, Mason Greenwood kicked an opponent and received a straight red card. I simply don't understand why a footballer would kick an opponent in a friendly match. Guendouzi also protested the incident and was shown a yellow card; I didn't quite grasp what he saw that prompted him to argue with the referee. Protesting has become a habit among footballers in Türkiye; even players arriving from Europe quickly adapt to the style of football played here.
Turan is a very weak team; despite playing with ten men, Fenerbahçe won the match 2–0 with goals from Kanté and Çağrı Balta. If Mason behaves this way in league matches too, Fenerbahçe will face a difficult situation.

Some players play with emotions, that is why they retaliate quickly and it’s something to always talk about as a team because if your players keep doing the same thing and receive red cards, they will be tagged as indiscipline players and the coaches will be responsible for that. However, some of these offense is not intentional, it’s just the nature of the players sometimes and the game, but it’s a clear offense that needed to be tackled by the coaches because this can cause them to be defeated if it’s was against a stronger opponent.

Sometime competition is needed in certain areas in the team. Sane has not really made a huge impact since arriving at the team and I believe that Rafael leao coming in should provide some level of competition between the both of them. Leao is just arriving this summer and he will need time to fully adapt to the league and the players too so it’s a bit too early to criticize him. Maybe after the first half of the season we can get to see the very best from this players.
