In this current players i don’t think any player can be compared to Messi, Lamine Yamal is a fantastic player but you can never compare him with Messi, Messi made football enjoyable because of how simple he played, his dibbles, goals and assists made football interesting, it will also take Yamal a long time to break most of the records that Messi has broken, honestly it will be difficult to see a player that will fit into Messi foot step.
Exactly, it is too early for lamine to be called better than messi, messi wasnt just a one season wonder as people make him when they compare him to young players like him. Messi is messi because he delivered that performance consistently for 20 years, which is no piece of cake. So a player that performs 1 or 2 seasons like that ( even lesser than his level ) and they bring it against messi who is undoubtedly the best footballer ever, this speaks how much messi is envied upon by certain groups of people. If lamine does what messi did for consecutively 20 seasons then can he be called in the same sentence as messi.

Are you sure  Huh what make maradona superior over Messi for Argentina and why most people will agree as Statistically Messi won more major international trophies (i-e World cup 2022, Copa América 2021 & 2024, Finalissima 2022, Olympic gold 2008 and U-20 World Cup 2005) for them and still remaind the all time highest scorer for them, while maradona just have u-20 1979 & 1986 world cup, so Messi are ahead in term of several factors and definitely whom still believe maradona deliver much and so called him big player for national team will be definitely dumb as** take.

"Argentina won more trophies without Messi" true but For you kind information Argentina won nothing for 28 years before Messi get them the 2021 copa America and so on.

I agree with what you said, although Maradona is a legend, I don't think Messi is anything less than him. Messi and Maradona are two Argentine legends, and in fact, Messi's achievements surpass those of Maradona. That's a fact. However, the thing is that Maradona and Messi played in different eras, so we need to bear that in mind. But still, Messi is still an Argentine legend and is by no means any less significant than Maradona. Regardless of whether "Argentina won more trophies without Messi", Messi has become an icon of modern Argentine football, and it will probably be very difficult to find his successor again.

Messi and maradona comparison shouldn't even be a think because Lionel Messi is the actual God of football, there is absolutely no one deserving of his comparison, Messi has broken everything possible thing we about football, the guy is just an alien 👽 with the way he plays and control the tempo of football., not to talk about the way he scores his goals. There will never be a player as good as Leo Messi and even if there comes a time for that such talent is be witnessed it's gonna be a very very long time.

To be a better player than Messi, you have to play for a long time like Messi and then you should consider whether you can actually be better than Messi. There are other players like Lamine Yamal who are playing well, but they cannot be Messi's equal. Because Messi is as good as a player, he can create enough impact in the match, which is not possible for other players. Many players have won the Ballon d'Or, won the World Cup, but the popularity that Messi has created by playing football, the level that he has taken football to, no one else has been able to do it in the past. That is why Messi is currently the best player of all time.

Brazil failures in every World Cup edition are also not Neymar's fault because in each World Cup, Neymar always gets injured. Many have also mentioned that Neymar seems to have a curse in every World Cup edition because he always suffers injuries. The World Cup in the US became Neymar's last World Cup even though they eventually lost in the round of 16, but Neymar got to play his final match with Brazil and scored a goal from a penalty. For me, his career with Brazil isn't that bad either because he has tried to give his best for Brazil.

I still hope Brazil can be a favorite in the next World Cup with Ancelotti, and with plenty of time ahead, I also hope Ancelotti can build the Brazil squad to be stronger and more cohesive. Brazil is known as a country that always produces talented players, so hopefully in the next 4 years Ancelotti can find those talented players.

Since losing their greatest talents, Brazil has really changed pace, becoming a much more accessible team.
In the sense that he has lost a lot of quality, or at least he has quality, but he has lost his typical Brazilian way of playing, very street-style we could almost say, but which he no longer uses and which in my opinion is the cause of the bad results.

To show how poor the creativity of Brazil was at the World Cup, when Neymar was on the pitch, he looked like the most creative player. He played like somebody who understood the game better than the rest. I wasn't expecting Neymar to be impactful in the World Cup. Even he was not expecting to be impactful, he was just happy to be there.
He understood that with how bad his knees have become, he wouldn't be getting a lot of minutes.
Brazil have a lot of work to do if they are to go back to winning titles. They don't have bad players, but they are not great players either. They need to find ways to play as a team like Spain because they don't have the individual quality to save them anymore.

I think this is something that many have noticed. Neymar, despite his enormous talent, but his very limited physical condition, managed to make the other players look almost like amateurs.
All this because he has that quality of true Brazilian football that other players have forgotten and replaced it with typical European football. And in my opinion that's exactly what Brazil is missing to return to being a team like it once was.

There have been many questions about Neymar's inclusion in the World Cup squad, which is normal. Because he had an injury history and there were doubts about whether he would be fully fit before the tournament. But I wonder if Ancelotti brought him into the squad just to please the Brazilian fans. Neymar's experience is still important for Brazil. The problem is that he got a calf injury again before the World Cup. Although he later returned to fitness, Brazil's position was not the same by then. It is not that Neymar was not the reason for Brazil's failure. Ancelotti said that some tactical decisions and substitutions were not right.

I believe that having Neymar in the squad was the last of Ancelotti's true wishes.
I think it was, in a way, forced, because Neymar certainly brings morale to the locker room and to the hearts of the Brazilians. Also because, given his physical condition, he was absolutely not in the most suitable state to compete. Wink

Sometimes, high-profile stars players everyone considers indispensable can suddenly stop contributing effectively because they have burned out or because recurring injuries prevent them from reaching their peak form. A coach needs to spot this before anyone else does, even if the player insists they can still help the team; meanwhile, a lesser-known player free of injuries and in excellent physical condition might be sitting on the bench. I feel that a similar approach could have been taken with Neymar, even though many fans wouldn't have understood it.

What if it's the opposite? What if Andelotti was forced by the federation to bring him in to please the fans?

After all, he never managed him on the club level, they don't have any history together and as you rightfully said - he simply wasn't good enough for such elite competitions as the World Cup.

Even in 20 years from now Lamine Yamal won’t still be able to break half Messi’s record, why i don’t even bother so much comparing most of this young upcoming stars to Messi is that most young stars lack consistency, don’t be surprised that 2-3 seasons from now Lamine Yamal won’t be this relevant, most young stars lack discipline to maintain their quality, some are often affected by injuries too, while some are affected when they move to a new club that doesn’t favor their game play.

Take Cole Palmer of Chelsea for example, he was all over the media at some point but last season after his injury he literally dropped form though he is gradually picking up again, another example is Eden Hazard, he was exceptional at Chelsea but when he moved to Madrid he dropped form, due to injuries, but Messi has remained consistent over time, he rarely have injuries or fluctuate in form, which is one great edge that Messi have over most players and why it will be difficult for any player to break his record anytime soon.

Ancelotti may have made the decisions for Neymar's good, but it actually hurt the Brazilian team. Giving him a chance to play from the start of the match would have been positive for the team. But it was almost everyone who knew that Neymar was not physically fit enough, and the manager had to consider whether another talented player could contribute to the team instead. He may have made such a decision after consulting Neymar. Ancelotti only played Neymar in two matches and for very short periods. The legendary player got a total of 37 minutes of play, but if he had been physically fit, he would have played more.

I believe that ours are only objectively abstract thoughts, because we cannot say what is best and what is not. Ancelotti certainly had a more well-rounded idea of the Brazilian captain's condition and made decisions like a true professional based on what he believed to be Neymar's physical condition.

Brazil is a big team, they have won the World Cup five times, no team has ever won the World Cup five times. The young players in Brazil perform very well when they play for big clubs, but when the same players play for the national team, they cannot perform as well as before. It is a matter of thinking about what is lacking here. If we cannot understand the main problem of the players, it is never possible to find a solution. In the 2026 World Cup, we have seen that smaller teams have performed much better than the big teams and they have gone much further than before, which we never expected from them.

Brazilians have this problem: they have evolved in football and play the way they play in their own club teams. And this is their problem, because they have lost their typical Brazilian game, where they played for fun, with numbers and with the typical talent of Brazil. And until they find that desire to play again, i think the Brazilian national team won't go very far.

Comparing Lamin Yamal to Messi is a disrespect to Leo, Yamal might have been lucky to get all the recognition on time but is yet to reach the level where he will be compared to Messi. Am sure that all this comparison is being done by Spanish and Barcelona fans who are also the ones saying messi is better than Ronaldo. But nevertheless it's a win win for us that are Ronaldo's fan because it's still them that said Messi was better than Ronaldo, that are now comparing messi to yamal that is yet to achieve much and just at the peak of his carrier.

Initially Barcelona and it's fans have the problem of over hyping players, and not being appreciative and recognising many and that has made them loose some players in likes of Neymar Jr, even after Neymar did wonders playing and scoring for the team, his presence was not too much appreciated all because of the hype and presence of Leo. That also happened last season in the balloon d'or rankings where  Yamal was voted for ahead of Rafinha that performed brilliantly.

You know, everyone probably feels nostalgic for things that have vanished, but you shouldn't let yourself be fooled like that. Football has become more rational not because of a conspiracy by boring, uncreative people, but because it is more effective. A squad of professionals will always crush someone who "plays for fun". And I don't believe that you are, say, 100 years old and remember games from 80 years ago, when (even then, it’s doubtful) one could say someone was playing purely for the fun of it. Football has long since become a professional sport.

This is said by a person that didnt even watch maradona, and i guess you are a fan of a certain player that's why you are saying such. Messi is far better than any Argentinian, even maradona. Maradona was a phenomenal player but achieving the things maradona achieved were comparatively easier to win then than it is now, messi won even more in the modern football so it is no debate who is better. Messi is the all time top-scorer and at the same time the player who has won them the most trophies,

I absolutely agree with you, because Messi is a completely different player from Maradona, especially due to the type of football Messi had to play.
Maradona played in an era where players had a different type of quality, where football was followed in a different way, while Messi was always the center of attention in a very critical football and in a much tougher competition and achieved much more important results than those of Maradona.

You will find different characteristics in each player. No one can be equal to anyone. Although it is not certain that another footballer will be able to break the records that Messi has set in the future, there may emerge player who can achieve better achievements than him. Actually, I do not want to compare anyone with Messi, not even Cristiano Ronaldo, because every legend is the best in his own way and they were born to break previous records and create new amazing records that no one had ever imagined before.

I believe that beating the records of Messi and Ronaldo is almost impossible due to numbers. Ronaldo will probably reach a thousand goals by the end of this season.

After more than twenty years of career and with records broken one after another. However, the fact that today players start playing even earlier, so perhaps at 15-16 years old, can be an advantage. But they would still have to break those records.

The Brazilian people clamored to have their idol on the pitch during the World Cup, even though he wasn't even in a position to participate. And Ancelotti wanted to please the Brazilians, thus calling up a Neymar who in any case was not in the strength necessary to be able to make a difference. However, he found some playing time and the opportunity to make a difference. An incredible player, but also very unlucky.
Neymar is a talented player owned by Brazil, which is why he was still called up by Ancelotti for the World Cup last year even though he wasn't fully fit, and Ancelotti definitely called him because of pressure from the Brazilian public. You could see this when Neymar name was mentioned in the squad announcement the Brazilian public was really excited.

I also think that Neymar should not be blamed for Brazil's failure at every World Cup. Let me tell you another thing, although Neymar's World Cup career has been plagued by injuries, it is not the same that he has not been able to play in every World Cup due to injuries. It is also not that he gets injured every time he plays in the World Cup, but rather he gets injured beforehand.

In the 2014 World Cup, when he suffered a serious back injury while playing with Colombia, he was unable to play in the semi-final against Germany. But the 2018 World Cup was a little different. He had just started the World Cup after recovering from a previous foot injury. So he was not fully in rhythm. Still, he played in five matches and scored against Rica and Mexico. Again, look at the recent World Cup, he had a grade-two calf injury before the World Cup. He could not play the first two matches, then came back and scored a stoppage-time penalty in the last match against Norway.

Lamine's entire career, he cannot be compared to Messi. Even if he gets to his 30s, he won't be in the conversation with Messi. Lamine Yamal has not single handedly done anything for his club and his country. His country won the World Cup without him having a good campaign. Low assists and no goals in the World Cup. Safe to say he had a bad World Cup game. Is that level of performance what you want to be compared to what Messi did in the World Cup? Yamal has so much potential. But he has a lot to learn and a lot of maturity to do.

When we talk about Brazil we always imagine Brazil in the R9 era when their play had a distinctive style. But after the R9 era once Kaka was gone there weren't any more famous Brazilian players with a simple, humble, down-to-earth character and that's what caused the Brazil national team to fall apart. I'm pessimistic that even after bringing in Ancelotti as coach, the arrogant character of Brazilian players won't go away.

You could say that Brazil now has a lot of stars, but players who are grounded like in the R9 and Kaka era are rare. Ancelotti will have a hard time if the players' character doesn't change. So the generation of Brazil's national team after their era is basically a night party generation, from Adriano Leite and others up to now. Ancelotti is bound to fail because the night party blood can't be removed, just like Maradona failed to curb the ego of Argentina's national team players when he was appointed coach.

In my opinion Carlos Angelotti should need to give him a call at halft time like we all saw that Brazil team were constantly repeating mistakes in attacking despite Norway was looking for a lead and even they took it successfully. I watch all the match and even I monitor that Brazil attacking gear was absolutely poor like every one was try to scored by himself. In such situations only team play make you feel better but unfortunately Angelotti didn't twist his tactics and as results they good banged......

I know Carlos Angelotti just brought Neymar Jr for the fan pleasure but I think if they put Neymar Jr as key role like utilize him as play maker then definitely something would be scribbled. However so far so good time is gone but I think Brazil should need to work on their new players because their current temp between the field is super hazzy.
