Casinos that demand Kyc during big withdrawals appear to be suspicious because of the way and manners they go about it, they have a policy which is fine but it must not be when people are trying to make bug withdrawals. They should be transparent enough to very whatever they want to very when the player is busy playing games and not when they are about to make withdrawals after spending time using the casino. Casinos are fast to remember what they have in their TOS during withdrawals they do not suspect cheating when people are losing don't you think there's something they are not explaining to us.
Not necessarily suspicious since they have obligation to AML to KYC users especially when the amount involved is already high. This is only true if the casino was licensed. What’s suspicious is when the casino ask for KYC and they are using lots of excuse just to delay or forfeit withdrawal due to alleged ToS violation without supporting evidence. Legit casino do ask KYC too on huge withdrawal. The only difference is they verify quickly if you submit a valid ID. Perhaps some players does not know about this and that is why they may be thinking that any casino that ask for KYC information may be doing them harm which is never true. My own main concern is about casinos that are using no Kyc as a means to make more players choose their casinos when they actually know that they are in no way a no Kyc casino. If several of these casinos are using the right word to attract players to their websites, many players that are having issues with different casinos could have been minimal and less troubles.

If their license means they have obligations to AML and KYC, they have to obey it since a time of account registration from their user. It's not legally accepted if they only do that after allowing users playing a while some time, making many bets before suddenly apply KYC. Mostly with reasons related to withdrawal request that is too big or after a series of withdrawal from a user. Legit casino do ask KYC too on huge withdrawal. The only difference is they verify quickly if you submit a valid ID.
Legit casino pay users well and if they need to verify information, if user submits it, the KYC verification will be approved quickly. Exception is if there are more suspicious activities detected on that user and the casino needs to investigate more. It only looks shady if KYC card was not used if users lost money and KYC is only requested after users won big.

That is why I am on the campaign that casinos shall ask for the KYC in the registration process and not in the buck withdrawal period. To some extend, I'm supporting you because it is very bad for casinos to do that when they knew that the person was depositing and playing games with the deposit and losing and winning and when itis time to enjoy his winning. Stories just rise up and restrict the person from withdrawing his winning. Not necessarily suspicious since they have obligation to AML to KYC users especially when the amount involved is already high. This is only true if the casino was licensed.

In all ramifications they don't have the right to restrict someone's win when withdrawing. I think we have to enforce this to casinos that are coming there to refrain from that act if the gambler deposited and using the deposit to play games until he wins big and decided to withdraw the funds, they should not restrict but allow the person to withdraw them. If they must check, let them check the amount he has deposited within a certain period of time, and how much he has used in gambling. And the length of time before making the withdrawal. And if the winning is bigger than the deposit, they shall not delay the withdrawal and it should be instantly. Perhaps some players does not know about this and that is why they may be thinking that any casino that ask for KYC information may be doing them harm which is never true. My own main concern is about casinos that are using no Kyc as a means to make more players choose their casinos when they actually know that they are in no way a no Kyc casino. Recently research revealed that there is no casino is No KYC free. Yes they will say No KYC in small withdrawal and average players but for suspicious movement, they will request KYC. Now if you are withdrawing big amount from your own winning, it becomes suspicious. Casinos shall advance more than this level by now.

Misunderstanding of rules is always the problem of most people, they do things with the mindset that some casino rules will not apply to them until they are being discovered in the future that's when they would start pointing fingers on different things forgetting it was their fault. In as much as I also like Casino that's VPN friendly but i mostly don't even have the need for it if I could access the casino website freely, let alone when they restricted the VPN from the general use on there casino so actually avoiding it as you said is the best thing to do so that you wouldn't have a problem with the casino later on.
That should be for those that are looking for quick way to respond to their urge of betting in order to make profits but the profit may not come after the bet has been taken. Giving excuses of being unaware of rules that is available for public view has no one to be blamed. If anybody thinks that its easy to be profitable from betting, they need to ask questions about why some gamblers are not making money. This is why I wrote about being restricted and finding the use of VPN as alternative.

Sometimes it's not actually one big win that makes casinos suspect an account, it could be that there are other activities around that account that makes it suspicious and then they notice a big win and decide to investigate further by asking for KYC verification to clear their doubts, all of these are understandable.
However, I think the problem comes when casinos use "your account is under investigation" to keep delaying payments even when they'll fail to give the user reasonable explanation to their claim.
What I know is that some casinos can not be trusted, athough there are reputable cainos that do not play some of these dirty games that some casinos play, when a player win beyond what the expect, I agree that that a casino might be watching an account for long period, as soon as that account win a substantial amount, they make it mandatory for the owner of the account to submit his credential, for clarity sake, if there no hidden plan to this, there is no problem, but sometimes we see that dishonest casinos doing all these things to either delay players withdrawal or restricting without any clear justification.

Now, all of a sudden, they have nowhere to gamble because every platform requires KYC and there is no way to retain your privacy. What we have now is a middle ground. A compromise. Some players will need to perform KYC and others won't.
You have a point about retaining your privacy with the way things are done now, but you only retain it for as long as you don't win a big amount or hope that one provider doesn't flag your account, or something else, if any of such happens, then you have to submit KYC. I never see gambling in casinos that don't require KYC from the beginning, as retaining privacy, when i know they can ask for it at anytime and it would hurt more after winning a life-changing money.

I don't think that's how the rules usually work in casino, actually when the casino has stated on there terms and conditions that nobody should use any VPN on there casino it involves all their users, so even if your country is among the ones the casino does not restrict there service on, you will not still be allowed to use the VPN, although I don't know if there could be other casino who wouldn't mind allowing an unrestricted country use it but however is very important that whatever you want to do concerning the use of VPN should come the understanding of what there TOS says because a lot of gamblers have had issues because of this.
If I am using a casino that is restricting the use of VPN by all means, I will not ignore the restriction and I will advise myself to stick to using network provider that don't use VPN so I am not accused later of breaching their rule that can make the team to lock my account for small mistake that can be obstructed by all means. When you understand the rule, you will not want to break it so you are not punished for that you know and choose to face the consequences. Playing bet with the wrong mindset will cause problem for someone that don't know how to go about betting in the right way. Those responsible gamblers need to be respected for their discipline not to fall for the addiction of gambling with the selfish mindset to make money. Misunderstanding can make a gambler think betting will be a life safer but the truth will look like a forbidden fruit that should never be eaten or touch until life becomes harder than what is imagined.

... It’s really funny to see some people arguing about something that is supposed to be so obvious. If the casino prohibits the use of VPNs, then you should not use one to access their services. If you are from a restricted country, according to their terms of service, then you should never use a VPN to bypass their restrictions. It’s as simple as that. There is really nothing to argue about, you either comply with the service's rules or just find another one.

If it is not because of the big win, what else would make them freeze the account? It doesn't make sense that a casino will see suspicious activity on a user account but will not freeze it until he or she hits a big win. The thing is very clear for everyone to see. The big win is the reason why they will freeze the account so that the person won't withdraw the win, and also so that they can freeze the person's balance without the big win. Stories about casinos closing a user's account after a big win come out almost every week. People won't stop using VPN, and some of them doing illegal things with the site won't stop either. The casino technical team is aware of this and won't stop them until they have something to benefit from.

-snip- Not only is it a big deal when a gambler deposits money and gambles and wins frequently and goes to withdraw them, casino platforms still hold withdrawal requests and review them for a long time. Today I have an experience that I deposit like $100 and place 6-7 bets, out of which 1 loses and the rest are won and when I make a withdrawal request of $160 I have to wait for a long time. I made a withdrawal request a while ago and I have been waiting for more than 1 hour and still I have not received my refund. I feel like the platform is reviewing my request very well. These things are normal but sometimes it gets annoying.
Well, did you wager 1x your deposit? Because I saw in their terms and conditions, if you don't wager 1x your deposit, you can't withdraw it. I mean, did you win $160 before wagering the equivalent of $100 or did you win after betting $60-70? If you won after betting $60-70, then maybe it's normal for them to investigate your withdrawal.

If several of these casinos are using the right word to attract players to their websites, many players that are having issues with different casinos could have been minimal and less troubles. Then that concern is mainly due to the player own laziness to do due diligence about the casino. We already have an AI that we can use to do a quick scan and background check on the casino especially on their ToS to determine if they are truly No KYC casino or not. Nevertheless, the majority that encountering problem on KYC after withdrawing huge amount are either violates the casino ToS or they are playing on scam casino.

It won't really sound nice to anyone to know it that his account may have being getting suspicions about maybe a multiple accounts linking due to some IP address issues, but then, what stops them from going on with an immediate action, not until the gambler has landed on a winning mine. Actually, anyone would think that it's due to the big win including myself too.

If they act based on their ToS, even do some actions against users who abuse their casino platform, it's not their annoying action but necessary one for protecting their business. They have all reserved rights to do that according what written in ToS. However, it can also be said that they're probably doing their job but I'm some cases they are overriding it. Multiple accounts are not allowed on online casinos, not only with Spin.io, so if people register multiple accounts on an online casino, they will have problems later. Especially if it's not like they forgot their previous account that was created too long time ago and they could remember account information for login and recovery, and intentionally created many accounts to abuse the casino in games, tournaments, bonus and marketing programs.

I have won and lost many times, but none of my wins fall into the category that would warrant a KYC check to verify who I am. Therefore, I have personally never undergone KYC at a crypto casino. I have stopped playing at one popular casino that's been on Bitcointalk for many years because I was disappointed with the way they wanted to run a "security check" on my account for some reason. The brand isn't important. I contacted the forum representative over PM and asked him what it was all about. He told me that he couldn't do anything, it was a different department, and that I should just go with the flow and perform the security check. I didn't want to. I reminded the person about how they mistakenly credited ten times the amount I deposited into my account a few years ago and how the situation was quickly rectified on my initiative after I spoke with their staff. He said he remembers that, but that's the past and this "security verification" is now needed. I said thank you, I am never returning here and goodbye!

Stories about casinos closing a user's account after a big win come out almost every week. People won't stop using VPN, and some of them doing illegal things with the site won't stop either. The casino technical team is aware of this and won't stop them until they have something to benefit from.
If they are happy to be losing their money after winning they should go ahead and continue using VPN while the casinos keeps taking their money since they can not look for a casino that will accept their location. If a casino is against a particular thing it is not hard for people to stay clear of it and not try to look for ways to cheat, it is better to work with a casino that you will be sure of having access to your money than cheating when you know that they will definitely monitor and recover every penny you have in the account. Players should be wise and stop cheating if they need their money.

I don't know if there is a specific range of winning a player will get to before the casino enforces KYC, I will love to learn that because I have not read it anywhere. I had the impression that they will activate it when they feel like or when the player is winning regularly irrespective of the amount involved. If this is not the case, perhaps I will learn a new thing from you. I have not also been asked for KYC in most of the no-KYC casinos that I use.

Wagering 1x of your deposit is like betting with your entire deposit. Any gambler that is not ready to gamble should not make any deposit on a casino because this wagering requirement need to be fulfilled before any withdrawal can be initiated and confirmed by the casino team. If a player intended to bet on slot games, once your total bets has reached the amount you deposited on the casino, you are eligible to make a withdrawal which is okay and it's not a big requirement for players. All casinos have this rule and it's to limit the rate of money laundering on casinos.

of service, but the problem is that many This is why I have come to understand that it is not all the feedback that people give you about a casino that is genuine because imagine someone who did not read the terms of service of a casino on KYC requirements and then when they go ahead to win a big sum and the casino demands for them to do a simple KYC verification they start calling the casino shady spoiling the casino's name to others where in fact the casino already mentioned such a term in their terms of service. Not all customers feedback are genuine.
The real truth is that not all feedbacks are completely true and for people that are checking for reviews of a casino before they use one, they should be very careful about what they are reading online. There are good and bad review writers and some would want to kill the reputation of a casino because they are not happy with the team of because the casino is their competitor. Bad people everywhere and some of them get paid for the shits they are writing.

It's really difficult to win big and big enough to have life-changing won money or to the amount that trigger KYC on your account. It's also very hard to win many times and have big net win so that a casino can trigger KYC against your account. Even it's really difficult, it's still possible to have a big win while if gamblers have several wins within a short time, that bet history and perhaps withdrawal requests from that user will certainly trigger alarms on casinos. They will take action on that account, just to be sure that their casino won't be abused more, and only release the account after investigation done with good result for the user. I have stopped playing at one popular casino that's been on Bitcointalk for many years because I was disappointed with the way they wanted to run a "security check" on my account for some reason. It's not comfortable experience for any user.
I can understand what you felt but I agree with the casino approach in that situation. They are right about the past is the past, and the present is now while people always can change themselves from good to bad, and as a business they can not exclude that possibility.

People really don't read through some of this rules before they start using a casino they are just only after how they can start using the casino and start winning big without knowing what it takes and are the rules and regulations of the casino. I believe that a casino who is aware of what is obtainable for a casino will not put the casino at risk by jeopardizing there reputation with lack of information and laid down rules and regulations for its users.
