Why are people choking panda on purpose? I'm just curious what sort of strategy this is? Is it to prevent PND from taking off too fast, and potentially crash n burn? or are they panda haters? or whales keeping price low to load up? someone help me understand this plz~

I'm pleased and excited that I found this coin in the ocean of shitcoins.
this.

you have to take a look at the history of PND and you know that it is one of the VERY FEW coins that actually have a really passionate dev team behind it.
a coin that does not make you feel like it is getting abandoned any second just because the devs didn't succeed in the first seconds.
it's awesome to see how they're keeping the coin on course despite all the difficulties a coin encounters.

I am going to consolidate all the shitcoins to PND.
Not exactly sure how you plan to do that when nobody can spend PND right now...  I suppose you could buy them on an exchange and then have the withdrawal pending forever...

5 hours with no block now.

Depending on how it goes in the next few hours we might be forced to release yet another update that will lower the difficulty again.

Be wary ...

Panda is rising up the charts and attracting attention, not all of it good.  If you look on Coinmarketcap, the other POS/POW coins are having a real hard time and lots of people stand to loose money.   Panda's success is other coins loss because there is only so much money to go around.  Some whales want the price down to manipulate, others want it to go to do their particular manipulations. They play weird advanced "Wolf of Wall Street" games I can not pretend to understand. These groups and individuals use sock puppet FUDsters, false posts and psychological manipulation to get what they want.  If you see a post about the price rising/falling fast, don't hurry to buy/sell, check to see if it is true. Lots of the moon-men lie and so do the guys who say it is crashing.  If there's FUD, look into it, research it but don't believe on first reading.  Sometimes when a coin gets attention outsiders really do find problems.  Sometimes not.  On Mazacoin, the FUDsters were correct.  On Cinnicoin they are a bunch of sock puppets.  We'll know we really need to watch out when we see our first pictures of pandas staring longingly at the moon, riding rockets, crashing rockets, etc.  The Dogecoin people take it all as a joke and the sock puppets don't phase them at all. It is a long road to that first megapump (Please when the graph is at more than a 50 degree angle sell.  It will not go up forever but it really will feel that way.)

BIG WINNER!

I've been patiently mining, and patiently seen the price rise. Patiently withstood all the pumps and dumps, out of which PND came out ever stronger.

I can certainly wait a night to let this thing stabilize.

It's a big inconvenience for PND to be down for a day, but those who have been with this coin long enough should already be familiar with being patient. Every coin might have potential, but few have proved themselves to have real staying power quite like PND.

The client is showing that it is staking now, and it appears to mine/stake a block; however, everything is getting orphaned/conflicted.  3 stakes now have all changed to status: conflicted, and transactions from hours ago still aren't confirming.

Possibly since we're having 30 days worth of coins that need to get handled.

Not sure what you mean.  Tons of blocks are being found, and the vast majority have no transactions in them.  Only these two blocks included any tx:
http://pandachain.net/block/885c0570fc5e2ad7933aa7f031135bd67bb4c69b2dfdfccd6cb98fcb8447e7f6
http://pandachain.net/block/2c670a4634992457f1b5e998dbddba7efccbf24850be91eb285c413cebd042ea

Staking in the wallet seems really weird so far.  Difficulty isn't moving much, but expectedtime has been fluctuating between a few seconds to 200+ days, and if I restart the client it doesn't start staking for quite a while.

wallet 2.0.1 open 137030 blocks downloaded, last block 3 hours ago, not staking yet, but 25 active connections Smiley
perhaps staking later due to high diff?
Yup... so far this PoS transition is an epic fail.  Dev's failed miserably at implementing PoS - now they simply say that these bugs are "normal".  Normal for crap code maybe.

PoS starting diff was retardedly low (rather unacceptable), resulting in block spam and now a savagely high diff and no blocks for hours.

Nobody can move their coins, making this a serious failure.

There will always be something that may go wrong with innovation.

I am very pleased with the dev team that weathered through good times and bad times and push forward.  Unlike many dev who simply just gave up and release one junkcoin after another.

Test environment can be very different from the reality.  Especially with so many miners jump onboard at once on an unprecedented transition from a pure PoW to PoS with the longest distribution time.

I don't mind hiccups so long devs are willing to push the boundary further and upgrade the coin over time.

I am sick of jumping from a shit coin to another shit coin.  I am going to consolidate all the shitcoins to PND.  A coin with a dedicated devs that never give up and a growing community is the one with staying power.   Everything else is pump and dump scams.
+1mill. Sounds like phzi needs an injection of PND optimism and resilience.

My PND Wallet 2.0.1 is receiving transactions of a few PND at a time and they show up under the Transaction tab of the wallet, but there is no updates in the Overview tab of the wallet. The amount does not change.  Undecided

When i open one of the transactions i get the following:

Quote
Status: conflicted
Date: 5/21/2014 20:03
Source: Generated
Debit: 0.00 PND
Net amount: -9879.57788494 PND
Transaction ID: 849c9b674d145e0d5ee9f6ddb83c744b5cc5ff8c73576640e792761bfc0a7843

Generated coins must mature 510 blocks before they can be spent. When you generated this block, it was broadcast to the network to be added to the block chain. If it fails to get into the chain, its state will change to "not accepted" and it won't be spendable. This may occasionally happen if another node generates a block within a few seconds of yours.

It seems all the transactions are conflicted ever since we went to PoS.

Please help with this!!!!!  Huh

I assume we'll be all in working order once the issue with the block has been fixed?
Nothing is in working order. The blockchain is effectively broken.  Stake blocks are occuring, but they contain no transactions, so no spends are confirming.

Which is basically what his post already said. You're being passive aggressive again.

We're currently looking into potential issues with the timing of transactions.
