Great, look forward to checking out the updates. My phone broke so I have had the chance yet to get the mobile app going.

Not sure how you tested this api. But if you go to this link http://web.mobileminerapp.com/   create the api key and then log into the site with it. If the api is working you will see your miners .

Not sure how you tested this api. But if you go to this link http://web.mobileminerapp.com/   create the api key and then log into the site with it. If the api is working you will see your miners .

I think there is some confusion here. Users should be entering an Application Key, not an API Key. The API Key should be hard coded by the application developer.

The application developer requests one API Key and uses that for their application. Users request a single Application Key and set that up in whatever miner - cryptoGlance in this case.

Users should not be requesting API Keys.

It sounds to me like there may be some misunderstanding in how cryptoGlance is setup to use the MobileMiner API. The end user should be entering an Application Key, with dashes, not an API Key without dashes.

Mobile miner api is not working. Thanks in advance
I go to mobile miner site and have no machines listed. I have a copy of multi miner that does work with same api. Not trying to use them both at the same time. Thanks
Thanks for the report. Can you verify that you've entered in the application API key and your email address in CryptoGlance settings?

The API Key should be the one provided to you from this page (You must be logged out to see this page): http://web.mobileminerapp.com/

I tried the api key with and without the - - in the middle of the key and the email address associated with the account and can log in on the mobileminer site with both. I do not see any machines when connected with cryptoglance. If I stop cryptoglance and start the other app that uses the key. I can see my machines. Thanks

I just set the key . I will check it when I get home - The website does not see the computer yet.

Update been almost an hour. The computer with cryptoglance does not show up on the mobile miner web site. If I log in at the link you gave me above I should see a registered computer. My machine does not show. Thanks

Not sure how you tested this api. But if you go to this link http://web.mobileminerapp.com/   create the api key and then log into the site with it. If the api is working you will see your miners .

I think there is some confusion here. Users should be entering an Application Key, not an API Key.

The application developer requests one API Key and uses that for their application. Users request a single Application Key and set that up in whatever miner - cryptoGlance in this case.

Users should not be requesting API Keys.

Nwoolls - The key I am using is the user key sorry for any confusion.

Right - I think the cryptoGlance app itself maybe setup incorrectly. I wasn't trying to imply there was something you should do on your end. Based on what cryptoglance stated it sounds like there may be a misunderstanding in the cryptoGlance implementation. He's in touch on IRC so hopefully we can get it squared away soon.

Edit: My guess is that cryptoglance hard-coded his Application Key and made the API Key configurable instead of vice-versa. So your email address is not going to work with his Application Key.

Question: if I do not log out of the remote app, does it maintain a connection to my server at home and eat bandwidth?  Or does it close the connection on its own after a period of inactivity?

Is there a way to make the remote app "remember" me?  My password is super long and random, not fun to have to input every time.  Pending the answer to above, I could just never log out, but not sure.  If the connection is maintained, I will log out each time.  If the connection is not kept live, then there's really no need for me to log out of the app, and thus no need for it to remember me.

To get the remote app to connect using httpS I'm guessing I have to configure some stuff on my home computer/firewall, have any handy links where I can read up on this?  I know nothing about SSL, but I'm a fast learner. Smiley

Ok, restricted background data on the android app.  The app does log out on it's own after a while, even if I don't specifically log out, causing me to have to re-input the password, so I don't know if it's possible to enable the app to remember the password and stay logged in or not, but it would be nice.

Thanks again!  Back to obsessively checking on my miners...
