I cant launch spendbbr.com until we have more market liquidity. xmr.to can make regular market buys without moving the price much because of much greater xmr trading volume.

Hopefully as Supernet integration nears more attention will return to bbr and trading volume will provide more liquidity for us. Right now buy or sell orders moves the price too much to make spot pricing (for all but trivial amounts) without huge margins impossible

Feel free to send me ideas for bbr economy building projects that will help to build liquidity. Specifically we need merchants, especially those who care about privacy. Remember our minimum mixin and other features makes bbr unique from other cryptonote coins

Looks to me like BBR is in a bit of a holding pattern while people wait to see what happens with related projects (e.g. Louisd'or, Supernet). Until then (and without inside knowledge or other news) its a gamble to buy (or sell) BBR in significant amounts at the moment.

If I'd have to hedge I'd say it's more of a gamble to sell, given we're at ATL prices and (bar the lack of communication) all the fundamentals of the coin are still in place. My appetite for risk is quite high, so I'm accumulating as usual (albeit more slowly).

Perhaps you're right about Louisd'or, but I can't see any reason why people would be waiting to see what happens with SuperNET.

I knew I recognized the name from somewhere!!

btw this can still be found on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Monster-Cereal-Booberry-9-6-Ounce-Boxes/dp/B005DQGKIW

Unfortunately it looks like some of the boxes may be past their expiration date according to the Amazon reviews.  I may order some anyway for fun and in case I can think of creative ways to give it away and promote BBR

Recently, every other post here mentions Supernet - I think the implication being that incorporation into Supernet will increase the demand for BBR. I don't know enough about Supernet to comment on whether this is a valid assertion or not, however it certainly appears to be playing a factor in the thinking of some.

It's going to be at least a little while. Still lots of marketing and derivative projects need to happen over time to begin to build a decent sized user base.

The main thing I meant by my other comment that you replied to was that at least technologically, there's nothing to wait on with regards to SuperNET since it's all moving along well. Nothing holding BBR and its community back from getting more involved if they want to. What happens with Louisd'or is a big question mark, but at least that concern is separate from anything related to SuperNET.

Why is BBR's fate intertwined with Louisd'or?  Is it because they have the same dev?  What are the possible ways things could play out there?

For better or worse, most crypto 'communities' (whatever that means) revolve around an "active" dev. By "active", I mean, active in forums! I see a lot of devs, spending more time actively posting than actively developing anything of substance, but that's a separate point. Either way, it is clear that CZ presence on this thread has been missed, in terms of creating a 'buzz' around Boolberry.

CZ has been quite open in saying that his time (for now) is devoted to getting Louisd'or off the ground - I'm sure coding is much more fun than dealing with trolls on forums anyway!

There is a strong likelihood that some of what is being built for Louisd'or, could be leveraged to improve BBR - but who knows!

Also, CZ has demonstrated that he is the Cryptonote dev with the most know-how so a greater presence from him around the coin would boost confidence to those invested in BBR. However he has also proved to be enigmatic, so could quite easily disappear into the distance like Satoshi, leaving only the brilliant tech behind and for others to pick up the mantle!

I'm sure all will be clear in a couple of months or so - but a couple of months is like a lifetime in the crypto-verse!!  Smiley

Is BBR coming to an end now? I am still supporting the network, but the silence here is becoming a bit overwhelming.

Unfortunately, it looks that way. Many, including myself, have moved on.  The writing has been on the wall for a while: price drop < 8K, hashrate drop < 400M, no mention in last supernet newsletter, no github activity, dev silence, trailing even XDN by over 5X,  boolberry domain name ready to expire in few days, low community participation (myself to blame too), etc.

Actually at this point, SN is more of a liability than a benefit since XMR, BCN, and XDN are doing fine without it, even though I feel that BBR is the best tech among all these.   It goes to show that the best tech does not always win.   Good luck to all who are still invested.

SN a liability? You certainly aren't keeping yourself in the know I seems.

Agreed... github (https://github.com/cryptozoidberg/boolberry/pulse) looks like a death zone. No pulse, no life.

There's no way that he's forgotten about BBR.

Pumped and dumped? By the market at large, maybe. Just like every other currency experiences from time to time. By a singular group or individual? No. Pretty sure that giant stash of BBR is sitting there collecting dust.

Ultimately though it's the community's responsibility to integrate and take advantage of the SuperNET API and such. Even if James is busy working on some other aspect of the project at the time, there are lots of other people around to assist.

It kind of feels like there's a standoff here where a lot of people are waiting for Zoidberg to take action, and then on the other hand perhaps Zoidberg is one that gets motivated by seeing the community active on its own. I don't know. There are a few people here who are clearly ready to take an active role but everyone wants to see everyone else working as well.

Hi cz

How is the integration of BBR into SuperNET coming along? Do you have much involvement?
