Hi All,
I would suggest that ALL coins would make a version 2. Why? Cryptsy is holding a lot of small coins, KARMA, LOT, MOON, LEAF, ....
maybe they have a supply of 80% of all the outstanding coins, so we should all make KARMA2, LOT2, MOON2, LEAF2,... type of coins and swap the coins that aren't on cryptsy.
This will mean Cryptsy wouldn't be able to dump their coins on other markets and make another few millions and it can give the current owners of those coins maybe some money back if they were able to withdraw at least a few coins...

but those coins belong to users..
wouldn't this back fire ? imaging anyone who hopes to get their coins back coming to learn we forked them as orphans..
has anyone been able to withdraw karma coins recently? just curious. i didnt have any coins in there. well after mintpal.. i dont trust any exchange really

@placebo There's just no reason to launch a new Karma coin. The coin is not broken, the blockchain is moving fine. If this #1 wallet is Cryptsy, then 21%+ of coins are stuck there right now. That would suck. But it also means that 78%+ of people have their coins elsewhere, which is by far the majority. Why would those be interested in an exchange for a new coin? I certainly wouldn't. Why would anybody be interested in exchanging or buying a bunch of cloned coins (KARMA2, LOT2, MOON2, LEAF2 etc.), that were created only to compensate for losses a few people experienced from Cryptsy going bancrupt (signs of this were visible far and wide)? Also Cryptsy appears to be opening up more alts for withdrawal, so maybe KARM owners will get lucky a 2nd time (after Mintpal)...

yeah neither of these nodes are karma coins :/ ... you have the latest wallet i assume. as always make a copy of your wallet.dat just incase. then 1)shut down your wallet 2)delete your peer info by deleting peer.dat file 3a)open you config file and and add the nodes from karma coin block explorer https://chainz.cryptoid.info/karm/#!network if it doesnt take you to the network section then click on the network tab from all the clickable tabs just above the Transactions column list. (Latest Blocks Rich List Largest Wallets Overview Extraction Network About Karma) then click on /Satoshi:0.8.6.5/ [node list] it should pop up a list of all the connected nodes. use those. at this time here is the list. addnode=136.243.76.100 addnode=148.251.126.241 addnode=188.165.2.147 addnode=193.192.37.135 addnode=204.11.237.233 addnode=24.15.13.38 addnode=38.80.64.150 addnode=46.120.228.103 addnode=5.101.96.124 addnode=68.35.218.223 addnode=72.128.205.97 addnode=72.42.100.141 addnode=76.84.177.47 addnode=76.95.178.229 addnode=84.234.52.190 addnode=85.118.69.89 addnode=86.165.67.143 addnode=87.185.3.100 addnode=89.11.228.207 addnode=91.48.56.201 addnode=96.61.157.79 delete any previous nodes form there and add these. close and save the config. 3b) alternatively you can add the above nodes individually via the console window from the debug on wallet. open the debug console and individually type one address at time and press enter with this command. addnode node-addr add where you replace node-addr with the nodes from above , as example : addnode 136.243.76.100 add close the debug window and then the wallet. and wait a few seconds. 4) open the wallet and wait at least 2-15 minutes hope this helps

has anyone been able to try betasearch's alpha testing? His Post on Karma Forumi have had no free time lately.. wish some one could take his offer and support him by testing and trying out the site. they've alway been ready to help out around here ps: now with cryptsy problems. i asked hali at Alcurex exchange to add karma coin so we don't just have one exchange. coin should be up and running in a day or two.

As per the post Topic: CryptoGiveaways.org - Intro to crypto & giveaway site - Under Development, I am asking members of BitcoinTalk if they want to alpha test please get in touch with me

Tried again and it seems syncing now. Also just checked and didn't had the latest version(didn't know how I haven't updated the wallet). Had 0.8.6.2.5 and updated to 0.8.6.5-beta. Will wait and see if everything goes ok now.

Hehe, further investigation revealed I, in fact, had the latest version. What I did was to start an earlier version I had on my desktop. Completely forgot about the new version was installed. Did the same mistake last night lol. Just deleted the old version, no more mistakes now haha. Thanks for everything.
