Karma Token on counterparty is still trading, the official news from dev was that KARMA would be traded for KARMA TOKEN on Counterparty.
This karma and that token have only one thing in common. Easteagle. other wise two different thing. Any idea who has the password for 'karmateam' now? The password has been changed. 'Karmateam' hasn't posted for 2 years, and I'd like to take over the account. Up until today. it was me and EastEagle. but since its clear he dropped this and is working on karma token, i reset everything and i control everything as of right now. It's up to the community here to decide. Don't take this personal, but your just showing up now and asking for a take over abruptly. Now it's not like i am putting any work on karma here so if you can get users to agree to you can take the control again. Hope you understand. No worries, as I understand. I trust you to control it if you want to keep control. Or we could go back to sharing, as we had before. I just wanted it to be someone active so we can get things done, make updates, etc. Karma needs action. Do you know who has the Cryptsy wallet now? lets give some time for people to share their opinion. as far as cryptsy. i didnt know until i saw it posted on the other thread when it was posted here by Beta. skimming through that thread you can see this guy asking for it : https://www.gldtalk.org/index.php?topic=3789.msg17702#msg17702 which probably make him the one.

In consideration for EastEagle's die-hard efforts, I'd like to "give karma" for all his hard work and dedication in the amount of ₭30,000,000. Anyone else is welcome to join in this donation, but I'd like to see his efforts rewarded with.... KARMA

you should PM microguy and ask who received the bounty. it has got to be some one with credentials. i dont think microguy would give it to just anyone.

Thanks, will do. I'm curious as to why no one here wanted to claim them. It would have taken just a minute of someone's time, for the benefit of Karma. Seems strange. I hope we can be more responsive as a community in future.

Here is my partial vision for what Karma could be.
"Give Thanks. Give Karma."
There should be one initial use case for Karma that we present to the world: as a way to "like" on blogs.
Like a blog? Give Karma. Like a comment someone made? Give Karma.
Bloggers can install the wordpress plugin and easily begin accepting and facilitating the trading of Karma on their pages. It should be dead simple.
(By trading, I don't mean buying. Users should only be exchanging Karma at first to build up the economy, get more everyday people using Karma, and get our name out there.)
Late 2018: Extend to YouTube content creators and users. // Encourage direct user-to-user ₭ exchanges.
Karma Simplicity
Karma should be far more simple for the average person to use than it is today. The average person will not even think about downloading a wallet and waiting X hours or days to use something they know nothing about.
But if they see a link on a blog that says, "Reward with Karma" or "Give Karma" then they will immediately know what it's about. It's intuitive and easy to understand.
From there, they can download a browser extension that is Karma's 'simplified payment verification' wallet. Every unique install comes with 1,000 free Karma to use immediately on websites. It will be lightweight and fast, as these types of wallets tend to be.
Most people don't care about the technical details. In this respect, think of how companies like Microsoft have information for devs but have a clear and easy-to-understand consumer-facing window into the ecosystem. That's what Karma needs to do.
We also should not confuse the general public with details on how to buy Karma. They install the Karma browser extension and they get free Karma in it to immediately use on websites. (They can certainly buy, but this should not be the focus. The focus should be on using Karma to increase the economic velocity of the coin. The more it is used, the more useful it becomes and thus the more valuable it becomes in the long-term.)
The Karma website should have 2 main sections for the general public. 1) I Read Blogs and Want to Give Karma; and 2) I Have a Blog and Want to Earn Karma
as well as other sections for miners, media, etc. but the site itself should be consumer-facing, because that's who Karma is ultimately for.
Other
1) We keep the coin specs as-is, high inflation and all, until we are sure which direction we want to take it and what the new specs should be, have a competent developer who knows what they're doing, develops it properly, and have tested it properly.
2) No ICO or tokens for Karma. (This is only talking about future development, not what has already been done with KarmaToken, which is something else). You can help support Karma development by buying Karma.
(I think how we can do it is for me to cover most of the costs through selling a few million Karma at a rate that does not interfere with trading. A little at a time, as costs are incurred.)
3) One website that is clear for everyone: community, general public, miners, media, investors, potential investors, etc., with a focus on the general public (and our target market)
4) Run as a business, not a democracy. Businesses don't function by mob rule, not even non-profits can run that way. We tried it before and it doesn't work. We will have a board of directors, a chairman of the board (me), and a CEO who executes on the vision that the board agrees on. The board of directors will be decided by me, commensurate with the value of the activity provided to Karma during the previous 30 days. (This will prevent both only whales and lazy people from controlling Karma's future)
5) Re-launch schedule: January, 2018. Roadmap before then, posted on the website.

To all the people who have sold Karma for 1 satoshi recently... Hope you still have some left! Karma has the potential to be a billion-dollar coin, with the help of the good folks on this thread. Based on our peers found in the list at CoinMarketCap, I'm looking at a $30m valuation* in the next 3 months (15 sat.) and $60m within the next 6 months (30 sats.) Again, based on peers, not the unique value proposition that Karma brings to the table. (And who has a name as good as Karma?) If just .0001% of all WordPress blogs are using Karma during the first few months of 2018 (about 7,500 blogs), then it shows good momentum, which may result in a Karma valuation of $200-300m (100-150 sats.) And although we may have 76 billion coins and add about $400 a day in market cap from the higher inflation rate, many of them were lost via Mintpal and Cryptsy (in possibly corrupt wallets). Without much supply demand of course increases, driving up the price considerably and ultimately enabling us to do more awesome and focused things. We often followed closely behind Reddcoin, who is now at $81m. No direct correlation, of course, just something to compare. For further comparison, Dogecoin has a market cap now of $380m, and I'm still not sure what its use case is. So, yeah.. please keep selling to me @ 1 sat I'm hungry!! *assuming a Bitcoin price of $2,800

Hi. Thanks for your message and sorry about the trouble. We're working on an updated wallet. In the meantime: [Note: back up your wallet.dat file before you do the following. It is in your appdata\roaming\karma\ folder. And just to be safe, you might as well make a copy of that, too]1. Close the wallet, then create a text file: c:\users\YOUR-NAME\appdata\roaming\karma\karma.conf (or on linux, ~/.karma/karma.conf) and paste the following into it: addnode=67.173.120.250:9432 addnode=91.153.109.149:49522 addnode=78.214.167.61:11081 addnode=69.130.152.117:51308 addnode=96.230.110.235:9333 addnode=128.173.185.170:9333 addnode=45.55.176.26:9333 2. Delete everything in %appdata%/karma except wallet.dat and karma.conf 3. (re)start the Karma wallet. --- let us know if this doesn't work.

Good news East and I have come to a general agreement regarding how Karma and KarmaToken can work together in future, as sister coins (with each functioning as their own separate coin, but supportive). I will provide more detail about this. I think it will be good for everyone.

I should have something up by next week, and hopefully by then the community can decide whether or not to move forward.

I contacted the guy in charge of the recovered Cryptsy wallets. He mentioned that he destroyed the wallet copy once it was claimed. He didn't say by who, but said he tried his best to contact each coin. He just did it on the old thread. Some guy who tried to claim the Dogecoin wallet because he had 100 Doge (!) tried to claim the Karma wallet. I don't know if he was successful, but maybe. Cryptsy went offline 145 days ago, and I don't see any big wallets that have been touched in under 300 days. The more active wallets seem to start under 300m coins. (They may have had 1 large reserve wallet and several smaller wallets. Not sure how that worked.)

That person should come forward here..
