There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Bluecoin is quite frustrating for those of us who have been accumulating coins - however, the larger goal is to look beyond proof of work and to see services and products developed around blu.  I am very much in favor of cutting down the PoW phase and total issuance - but then again I am biased, I already hold a large number of coins.

how many blu? I don't think there is anything wrong with holding blu, wait till you see the movement that will happen with the new system set in place for distribution.

I see this as a better plan for the future of blue...

Long term cryptos have the advantage, especially long-term in Blue.

We have emailed all the mining pools and are waiting for them to switch to the new code. Please have patience and this should be rectified shortly.

Update: Some pools are reporting issues with the upgrade.

We are looking into the errors and will update as soon as we have information on the fix.

We appreciate your patience.

At this rate by the time I get my coins into a wallet they'll probably be worth nothing, come on Dev's get your finger out and deal with the wallet issue.
