The name makes me to watch this thread so far. I really like the name of the coin, i would suggest to make it 1 orange juice (meaning 1 orange coin confirmed, 10confirmation or so)
I was thinking of the same thing, Juiced sounds awesome! No other coin has this terminology... or can come close to even using it in the sensual term of confirmations or even Staked! Then the staking could actually be "Seeds" like in an actual Orange to grow more trees.... I am rambling sorry.. --SNIP-- Have you read the staking tutorial at orangecoin.weebly.com? I have but it has always referenced to Growing. Which is kind of the same. :-) And as for the Staking as i was syncing 1.0.7 My waterblock on my PC CRACKED!!! FML Now I am having to do this secretively at work (Post on bittcointalk).

I think I figured out (edit: part of) why the chain hasn't moved. I wrote to soopy, concerning the following:
const int YEARLY_BLOCKCOUNT = 262800; // 365 * 2880
Proof of stake gradual declining payout (20% --> 10% --> 5%...) wasn't a precise measurement of one year, more like a calculation based on the the timing of blocks and etc. 262800 blocks is what it should have been if every block was found on time, equaling one year from either genesis block or Block 10000 when PoS started.
We are stuck on 262799... This line of code has to do with the 20% payout reducing to 10%. Where the exact problem is, I don't know.
Hold tight.

Thanks I have the utmost faith in soopy. Just give him the time he needs. He's our blessing. Besides, rather find out about these things now than later when we do get going again. I'll see what else I can come up with in between doing laundry. I can't spend too much time looking, I have to work in the morning and will be away all day. I will be able to PM, if anyone needs me.

Good work, is it 10% PoS now? As far as contacting exchanges and services, I'll start with richie from trex and work my way down, if you haven't started to already. I will also put out a tweet. What will be the new version number?

What will be the new version number? 1.0.9 would be version number mate , I haven't changed the Interest rates but the left the original ones to themselves. nRewardCoinYear = MAX_MINT_PROOF_OF_STAKE;
if(nHeight < YEARLY_BLOCKCOUNT) nRewardCoinYear = 8 * MAX_MINT_PROOF_OF_STAKE; else if(nHeight < (2 * YEARLY_BLOCKCOUNT)) nRewardCoinYear = 4 * MAX_MINT_PROOF_OF_STAKE; else if(nHeight < (3 * YEARLY_BLOCKCOUNT)) nRewardCoinYear = 2 * MAX_MINT_PROOF_OF_STAKE;
Where MAX_MINT_PROOF_OF_STAKE is static const int64 MAX_MINT_PROOF_OF_STAKE = 0.025 * COIN; This is the original interest rates. I'd leave it to you to calculate. Compiling Windows Client. Expect the update within the next 15 minutes. Warm Regards, ~SoopY~

Sorry, I should have been more specific: I was asking if you had noticed if was actually at 10% or if it was bugged.

News: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/oc/ has updated their wallet. Waiting on bittrex and other explorer. Please use caution if depositing or withdrawing coins on bittrex until we confirm they have updated. Now I tweeted again to rami and richie from trex, instead of just PM'ing richie via here. I'll see you all later today, have work to do. If i get confirmation bittrex updated, I will take a sec to let everyone know.

He probably had to endure a sleepless night to get everything working right. Understandable we're human.... But Accuracy, accuracy we are in the computing world.... Accuracy is everything unless should we just scope everything, and have it be a given range? oh this is V1.0.7 through 1.0.x...... I understand patches work like that but this is more than a patch. Sorry, I am Having a horrible morning, Found out last night it wasn't just my waterblock that cracked. The pump actually burnt out at the same time cracking the reservoir! GRRRR I need to get a fund going
