Just did a basic Monero t-shirt to start let me know what you all think:

Can sell it for Bitcoin or Monero of course Wink

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

That looks cool, if you had the getmonero.org website on the back it would be much nicer Tongue

Also, idk if you do escrow or not, but unless you have a customer history/previous client base to vouch for you, I'd consider using some form of escrow.

Yea it looks neat, maybe you can add a catchphrase to get people's attention like, "Don't hate cause I'm anonymous"(Just throwing a random one out there).

I know this isn't speculation so I wont belabor the point. But anyone who hasn't seen the polo go look. Holy satan. Shocked

If one can not confer upon another a right which he does not himself first possess, by what means does the state derive the right to engage in behaviors from which the public is prohibited?

Crossposted from XMR Speculation:

A warning for everyone who is interested in margin trading on Poloniex:

You will get charged lending fees from the moment you enter an (limit) order and not when your order executes so you will enter an open position.

I bet a lot of people don't know this so this might save you some coins.

Bitcoin has to survive the block size schism way before it can consider adding ring signatures or stealth addresses.

I say "LOL' basically.

It IS possible.  It is less probable.

Monero is a part of top20 altcoin index Coinoindex.com

The index includes top 20 alternative cryptocurrencies with largest capitalization and tracks the value of the portfolio (in BTC) in which each coin has a 5% share.
The index was created to be an analogue of Dow-Jones or S&P indexes for the altcoins arena.

Rules of index composition:
- Coin should be traded at at least three exchanges, with cumulative daily volume above $1,000 for last 14 days
- Coins that track a value of a certain asset (USD, CNY etc) cannot be included.
- Each coin in included in the portfolio with the same weight.

You can invest in the index by using NXT Asset Exchange, NXT Asset ID 13634675574519917918

Asset tracks the index value, and constant buy/sell liquidity is maintained.
You can invest using NXT cryptocurrency (you can exchange BTC to NXT directly in the NXT client from http://multigateway.org/ or at http://coinomat.com) or BTC at https://trade.secureae.com/

  http://coinoindex.com - Cryptocurrency Industrial Average

thx for the notification.

btw nushares is listed twice under the "current portfolio composition"  Wink
Thank you, it is fixed.
After a week index grew 5%. The bear market is about to end soon.

LukeJr is what I would like to call an intelligent fool.  Right now, the bitcoin ecosystem is locked with political strife amongst the core developers, miners, et al.  ANY cryptocurrency can do what Monero does, but this requires consensus amongst developers, miners, etc.  Getting consensus amongst all the miners to change the bitcoin software is much easier said than done.  We are already seeing a schism between the core developers...  It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Monero has anonymity, privacy, etc. right at the node which is how it should be.  All of the key aspects of a cryptocurrency that users want should be functional at the node and nowhere else.

I can only hope that the miners, users, and developers with regard to Monero will welcome software changes.  This will make Monero very powerful in the long run.

The beauty of cryptocurrencies is that they are programmable money...which bitcoin seems to be lacking.  I believe it may be its downfall, or at the very least, it will lose its kingly status.  (which we have already seen the last few years in the growing popularity of other cryptocurrencies.)

Monero tshirts or sweatshirts would look "cool". A dark black with white lining and the monero logo, name, and a catchy slogan: "Don't hate cause I'm anonymous", would be interesting.

The.Rise.and.Rise.of.Bitcoin, anyone seen it?

Yes and Huh

Was wondering if it was worth a watch but I just watched it anyway. I guess it was ok for someone that has no clue about the origins as it was nothing but fluff.

It's okish. What I didn't like is that it's very business (and US) oriented. I've watched it with people who weren't in Bitcoin, and they took it that Bitcoin was basically a stuff for young US entrepreneurs. Which is just one narrow view of a much larger story.

Back to topic: will we have one day The.Rise.and.Rise.of.Monero?  Wink

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's.
This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".
