Let me give out a warning,  lets not make this personal, otherwise i will have to handle this as i do other personal attacks.

I'll be in Europe within the month. How about you get lost until then, and meet me in Europe so we can thrash this out face to face? I bet you'll have some lame excuse not to meet me.

crypto nerd cage fighting ... now that's got marketing potential! Everyone loves a punch-up.

edit: arm wrestling might be more suitable for a dev though Smiley

I was hoping for a war of words. I can rap about droppin' Monero on xmr.to / buyin' stupid junk to make up for feelin' blue, he can lay down some beat poetry about how tough life is when you're the CEO of a company of 1.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Anybody knows someone from Bitfinex?

BTW - Does anyone know about this? Were Darkcoin scammers trying to increase the supply at will?

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1f7z840EcKjGNr7jZTwHL1u5HDTGNqHeeCszrR0Iy1J8/edit?pli=1
I contacted Bitfinex some days ago and I received a (non-automatic) reply about them looking into adding Monero. Methinks this is a good opportunity for other to propose it to.

David showed me the email conversation and I can thus vouch for him, so what you're stating is utter bullshit. Why would he even lie about this?

XMR.FROM as a natural side-kick to XMR.TO has been talked about here. Not sure as to if it's being developed, but seems like it would be a good start to creating more Monero exchange options.

It couldn't be .from, but it could be XMRFR.OM, if it's based in Oman, that is. Wink

Seriously, though, whatever it's called, I want it.

And, what I'd *really* like to have, and I've mentioned it before, is some way to buy XMR directly for USD (or an equivalent). Poloniex has an XMR/USDT pair, but it has little to no volume, the spread is awful, and you can't easily buy USDT in the US right now.

Watch your language.

More about David's PR skills here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PRLuaD-qVQ
If he is in charge of negotiations with Bitfinex its just not going to happen.

EDIT: I just noticed how David and Vitalik Buterin look alike, as if he is Vitalik's big brother Smiley

Conclusion

ChainRadar is either "accidentally" showing From Transactions, or it is trying to appear to have compromised Monero. Coupled with the sudden appearance of a troll claiming 20/20 transactions unmasked it is clear that something dodgy is going on. Avoid ChainRadar, and always check the data for yourself before buying in to what the trolls say.

So, it would be good to put http://moneroblocks.eu/ in the OP instead of ChainRadar. Also, it could be putted at Monero's official websit, because there's no way to find any block explorer at it.

I have tested replace chainradar per moneroblock.eu on my pool .
I have rollback Sad  .

if tx or block not exists or not find per moneroblock.eu ( more recents )

Notice: Undefined variable: transaction in /var/www/html/app/controllers/blockexplorer.php on line 212
http://moneroblocks.eu/tx/e22d1f9f50ef8128a5f6d471c2655c2dd68054a2af2bb8c3e88cd43980980925

Fix at and disable error and I replace chainradar per your site.

Hi!

Sorry if this rookie mistake made it difficult for you guys to check non existent transactions.  Tongue

Thanks for pointing this out. It's fixed now.

And error display is now turned off Embarrassed AND I guess I'll have to change the backend structure because of this little indiscretion. Oh well...

BitFinex is a serious exchange they added DRK/LTC for one reason alone, strong development support.

Monero is still in its infancy, its just not going to happen.

EDIT: However, if there are negotiations in place, please have someone more technical and more fluent in English represent Monero community! David is not the person for this job!
David came into monero-pools channel couple of times in the last month or so, asking what he needs to buy to mine 50XMR/day. He is completely clueless.

BitFinex is a serious exchange they added DRK/LTC for one reason alone, strong development support.

The main reason is not "development support" it is simply that they are Bitcoin clones and it takes little to no effort to add another Bitcoin clone to an exchange that already supports 1 or especially 2.

For an exchange to add Monero they have to not only be motivated to do it but also be willing to invest in actual development of their own systems to support it.

get_bulk_payments: this is the preferred method, and requires two parameters, payment_ids - a JSON array of payment IDs - and an optional min_block_height - the block height to scan from.

in our case, we will be required to query thousands of payment_ids (we have 50k members). do you recommend us to use get_bulk_payments with array of hundreds or even thousands of payment_ids. Or is there any more elegant method?

Thanks

Monero may be on its way to its first Fiat exchange.

That would be outstanding.

Edit: It would be for the Indonesian Rupiah, but the only pair they offer it with is BTC. Altcoins are only paired with BTC.

I'd bet that BFX started accepting DRK after possibly some underhanded negotiation convinced BFX that accepting DRK would posture BFX as the leading premier exchange of the fancy newfangled anonymous coin of the future, supported by certain DRK whales' (ahem, Otoh) assurances to make the market.

It may be prudent for someone to eloquently notify them that this is not the case, and the only public decentralized cryptocurrency protocol that has proven anonymity is CryptoNote. Also, that the structuring of DRK's coin distribution is too reminiscent of a pyramid scheme. They could save their amazing exchange a lot of face...

With the precedence set by the SEC of Pakistan...
http://siliconangle.com/blog/2015/04/05/leocoin-yet-another-bitcoin-alt-with-links-to-ponzi-schemes/

...it is all the more likely that the rather conspicuous signs of rats fleeing the sinking ship that is DRK suggest that they too realize such a risk is presented by the instamine + masternode reward scheme:

There was also someone that tried to phish (can't believe they associated such a despicable act with one of the most amazing bands ever) me on #monero with some nick very close to fluffypony's, but Riccardo found out about this behavior before and set log alerts to find when this happened and reached out to me personally via Skype to let me know.

David is actually probably a rather qualified individual to talk with BFX. Aside from great character and proficiency of this space's nuances, it probably helps that Raphael and David are fellow Frenchmen.
