There will be some notes on features and changes when the new version is released. Some items on the list are in the new release, some are implemented on the development branch (planned for a future release), and some unfortunately didn't get completely this year at all and will remain open tasks for next year. Some of the improvements in the new release aren't on the list, but were based on needs that became apparent during the year. There may also be some changes to future priorities, since it is a year later after all.

That's normal developing way, plans are changing from one iteration to another. So we all are just waiting for 0.9 release and corresponding new roadmap. I've downloaded the latest beta (second fluffypony edition) and it seems to allocate not so much memory even during initial blockchain downloading. But I will test it further...

So my initial qestion can be reduced to the ultimate one: WHEN WILL 0.9 RELEASE BE?

vvrroomm guy is lacking comprehension skills...I like this clown btw

cross post  Grin

before i'm going to sleep..here is some nice read for you guys.
You are going to need to come up with something more unique than Dash, since Dashcoin already exists and other people will confuse it for this or simply call it dashcoin anyway!
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=678232.0

There are thousands of failed altcoin projects by now, the names are starting to be like old domain names. The development team acquired the rights to the name from a small abandoned crypto project "Dashcoin" although it was never intended to use the suffix "coin".

Thus we are now DASH, but thanks for watching our backs, it is all taken care of though.

day 1

person a: what is DASH?

dark guy: digital cash..etc. etc.

person a: what is digital cash?

dark guy: well.....it is a cryptocurrency like bitcoin and litecoin

person a: so it is a coin?

dark guy:...yyyyyyes..

day 2

person a: hey person b i heard there is a coin out there named DASH, it claims to be anonymous etc.

person b: so how much is this DASH coin? a piece?..

person a: 3 bucks..... (person b buys)

day 3

person b: hey person c i bought some DASHcoin it is 3 bucks a piece, bought 10..that's 30 bucks   Cheesy

person c: WHAT! fucking rip off...i bought 10 million dashcoins for 1$ at poloniex.com

LOL

BUMP!

still true  Cheesy

due to supply reduction 10,000 to 1...10M dashcoins is now 1000 dashcoins  Wink

So, super expert on cryptocoins, let me ask you something.  Someone had to spend 10 million dollars to get coins at $1, and you are saying someone is dumb because they bought 1 @ $3?  Yea, idiot, they got the higher low amount of coins purchased  price while the 10 million buyer got a wholesale discount.  Do you understand business?  Go back to school.

Also, you are always talking trash about DASH, your monero crap coin was instamined also because the miner that was released was crippled, and this has happened on many coins.  No, it is not at all a good thing, but it happens.  DASH has been audited and also has great development.  Where is the monero gui?  What year is it coming out. 2025?  Ok.

HOLY SHIT! this conversation is over  Grin Grin

PS. newb the point of the story is "confusion"...there are two dashcoins going around the crypto world ..okay  Wink and your DASH is the copycat  Grin

PPS. you are a perfect example of a confused individual...blame Evan Duffield for this charade

I am talking about DASH, like in this thread, like everyone else. So what you are talking about dashcoin. Why are you talking about DASHCOIN in this thread?  Big deal I didn't see you mixed a DASH and DASHCION up.  Doesn't change that your coin is some real junk.  So you are perfect huh?  No you are a liar.  I'm not perfect.  I can admit when I made a minor mistake.  Like I said we are talking about DASH, not DASHCOIN.

ehm..*cough*...mods excuse me....

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

What is really the funniest part is all you do all day is defend your crap monero coin.  I didn't even say a word to you, I was talking to ICE.  I like how you are a petty fool and use logic like "ohhhh look someone made a mistake" to try to get at me.  No you won't.  Go defend your monero after I posted some truth in that thread.  I hope it tanks your coin!  How much are you going to lose? your coin is $ 0.48 and dropping. LOLOLOLOLOL

the funniest part of the day is YOU

I like you already... I love if you represent DASH here  Wink

Evan send this guy a DASH T-shirt and a Mug too  Grin

Just tried to search the thread but everyone here already knows its meh.

What is the status on the blockchain in memory issue? I could swear that was old news back in May but on a recent upgrade in client/gui I see my machine slow to a crawl and bitmonerod crash out. Has something unexpected happened? Any links?  Thanks much.

Tired of substandard power distribution in your ASIC setup???   Chris' Custom Cablez will get you sorted out right!  No job too hard so PM me for a quote

What version are you using?

LMDB is working fine, bitmonerod v0.8.8.7 on my OSX machine is consuming 46 MB of RAM.

Git updates since last time:

Since last post:

- more wallet refresh speedups
- a few more berkeley db key fixes
- fixups for databases created with an early version of the db branch
- compatibility with older libdb
- new --offline daemon argument
- fixes to potential crashers in DB code
- optional use of TCP for DNS requests (plays nice with Tor)
- atomic wallet cache save (to avoid some types of corruption)
- misc tweaks to the README (using Tor, rlwrap)
- cleanup in daemon headers, to speed up builds
- a couple daemon exit hang fixes, and crash on ^C

The new binaries that include LMDB (which solves the blockchain in memory issue, like saddam said), have not been released yet. If you are on windows, you can try the beta (https://getmonero.org/downloads/) or direct link -> https://downloads.getmonero.org/monero.win.x64.v0-9-beta.zip

Unfortunately, there are no betas for Linux and Mac OSX, but if you are able to compile yourself, here are some instructions -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=652305.msg12033096#msg12033096

Let me try the 0.9 beta. I'll report back how I get on. Sorry about that, I could have sworn this had already been solved with binaries a while back. I must be losing it.

No problem! Might be a bit ambiguous for people who don't follow this thread that often. I am curious about your experience with the new beta. Btw, if you have an HDD it might sync a bit slower. With an SSD, a decent pc and a decent connection it should take around an hour.

FWIW: Hyc is the guy from LMDB. He also submitted this to the LMDB github a few days ago -> https://github.com/LMDB/lmdb/commit/29ebd02efd72fa0b558b6d87fc32afc1061f97ff

So I guess we'll have LMDB for 32-bit as well soon.

The only people with lack of comprehension is an idiot that supports your commie monero.  Anyone with any logic in their head would run screaming from an open source project with no security audit.  Too bad people will eventually find out what a scam and a bunch of liars your devs are.  Get that gui done yet?  LOLOL

Today is December 21, 2015. Could we compare our way, passed and to be passed, with roadmap declared by core devs on January 5th, 2015?

I call moderators don't feed trolls and to remove spam from the thread. I apologize if my original post has triggered their stupid attack.

Returning to the my initial question, can devs say, what is simply done from the wishes they had positioned on January 5th, 2015? And what is the future roadmap?

You didn't do anything except point out what a useless bunch of commie devs you have.  Did they eat too many Cheetos instead of having a good security model with no back doors and a gui?  The world will never know.

Hey guys, here is my plan.  I plan to make you look like the liars you are and hopefully soon your coin will be completely dead.  Do you think I can cost you at least half of your coin's value be the end of January?  I mean, that's only 5 million.  Have a nice day.
