Can anyone point me to an easy to use image for a USB drive that is bootable and can start up a cpu miner on a laptop that is setup to not allow "malware or grayware" to run on it? I'd like to use it off work hours for the i7 cpu in it. Also, something simple... I'm not really familiar with linux command line stuff.  I still remember some DOS though!  Smiley

It's just an outdated peer who never upgraded from the last fork. You can ignore it, or type:

ban XXXXXXXXXX (put in ip address obviously).

Edit - it used to autoban IP's but I haven't seen that happen in a while now. (?)

Thanks dEBRUYNE. I was able to send some XMR using higher mixin_count. I have also swept unmixable.

To check balance, type "balance" into simplewallet. From your output it shows that you probably have a lot of dust. You might want to undust this first with the sweep_unmixable command.

I can't understand however the discrepancy between "balance" shown by balance command and "money available to transfer".

Please look at this example:
Code:
[wallet 48KCoY]: balance
Balance: 4.071798228705, unlocked balance: 4.071798228705
[wallet 48KCoY]: transfer 4 47sghzufGhJJDQEbScMCwVBimTuq6L5JiRixD8VeGbpjCTA12noXmi4ZyBZLc99e66NtnKff34fHsGRoyZk3ES1s1V4QVcB 1 4f6862f49ab77c19043f668b8f1c25a274ed4c57ca36704e1259b3816c2187c1
Error: not enough money to transfer, available only 0.130000000000, transaction amount 1.000000000000 = 1.000000000000 + 0.000000000000 (fee)

Does it mean I have 0.13 XMR available to transfer and 3.941798229 of unavailable?
What shell I do with unavailable? Can I check "available to transfer" balance before I attempt to make a transfer and it fails?

I played with myself and before the end, an idea pop out instead of something else, so I quickly start to tune up my rig, and get these results, so what do you think is better

830h/s for xmr
or
620h/s for xmr + 12Mh eth + 230Mh sia

it is just 30W more solo VS tripple mining

Could you try transfer_new instead of transfer? The remainder of the command is the same.

I used transfer_new with mixin_count from 2 to 8 and I got:
Code:
Error: failed to find a suitable way to split transactions

transfer_new 0
Code:
Error: not enough money to transfer, available only 4.071798228705, transaction amount 4.930000000000 = 3.000000000000 + 1.930000000000 (fee)

In the second case at least (and at last) transfer see the same balance as "balance" command.
Unfortunately 1.93 XMR of fee for transferring just only 3 XMR is somewhat ridiculus...  Over 63% of the transaction amount.

Yes, transfer fees are quite ridiculous right now but that will be resolved with the next scheduled fork, I am confident.

In fact, I say that purely on the basis of the core team's history of good judgement.  They don't always do what I think is optimal, but they always do something very reasonable, and usually I would be inclined to trust their judgement, as a group, to be better than my own, by default.  I can't think of any other crypto for which that is true, remarkably.

Any way to check/estimate the fee before I make the transfer?

I believe it is the third Monero-branded abs.ex. sold by start the art.  I bought the first.  I think the 5-panel was the best of them, though.

Probably, he should be selling them on AlphaBay.

Have you really utilized the sweep_unmixable command? Because from your logs it seems like you have a lot of (possibly unmixable) small inputs, which results in a high fee.

In addition, did you mine to this wallet?

Message from LitePaid.com, the LiteBit.eu altcoins payment gateway plugin for webshops :

"At this moment we are working on the accepment of Monero."

So, soon, directly possible to pay with XMR on most modern webshops with this free plugin.

Yes, I have utilised sweep_unmixable and now I get the result "Error: No unmixable outputs found" when try to use again.
Yes, unfortunately I did mine to this wallet. The most of my mining was with Minergate however, not p2p pool.

The recent proposal is 3.18 XMR of fee for sending 4 XMR. We are approaching 100% of original transaction amount.
