do you own any yet? if not post an address.

Thx, I've just recently bought a few on Poloniex after some friends showed me to this thread about XMR.  We were all part of a KNC mining Group Buy where the administrator ran away with our money, but I've picked up some amazing contacts in the process.  We are still communicating in a brand new Skype Group, mainly raving about XMR's potential.

I've added tip addresses into my footer now  Wink

Is HiBTC for real ? there is like 200+ BTC buy walls from 4 to 3,6 mBTC. If this is real, this is already the exchange with the strongest BTC support for XMR.

Seems legit.
Yeah that's a lot. 88 BTC on poloniex vs 217 BTC on hitbtc. Only the owner of hitbtc know if this is real. Could be they put up a lot of walls to attract customers. They also asked for "Market Makers", so could be someone with a lot of monero / btc agreed to that.

Roll Eyes its not good news for Claymore  Roll Eyes

MinerProxy v0.4

Download:  https://mega.co.nz/#!WJM2wQZY!YU9QFgnX0vTsfR5PypYNZIjbf_j2lKbezUh74r89kWA

No more fees. Replace DevFee address with MinerProxy, and add fee to your balance.

Instructions

- Enter proxy port, ex. 5555
- Enter pool address and port without stratum+tcp:// or http:// (ex. xmr1.crypto-pool.fr:3333)
- Enter Your Coin Addresses where DevFee coins will be payed out, (may be the same address where you mine or different, doesn't matter)
- Point your miner to MinerProxy
(ex. -o stratum+tcp://127.0.0.1:5555, if proxy is installed on localhost)
- Other miners also work with this proxy, so You can easily change pool for all Your rigs.
- For failover, start more proxy instances with different ports, and put those addresses to pool.txt

If You like it donate some XMR to the author of the software...
XMR: 46huLCNkxF5efM526TR5FhDiMNAsRtdbv4NigL5NSgp3T5FB8Xq3EbLQfhDcLVGFsxLHDTtU7MKDucv u4qFr4C73V1GTJHu

Seems too good to be true lol... And bit dodgy... anyone tried it with success ?
Works great! Easy to set up.
can you tell me how it works?I make .bat file like this: NsGpuCNMiner -o stratum+tcp://127.0.0.1:5555 -u wallet adress -p x
and i still see dev getting share on the miner
what should i write to dev fee xmr on the program?
If you entered your address in the field DevFee, than devfee goes to your xmr address Smiley

Yea, I'm just going to go ahead and keep my XMR elsewhere for now and see how this plays out.

Please, pretty please, why don't you move this kind of discussion to the mining thread?

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's.
This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

Hi! Thanks to the XMR community for your response. We've now secured two Market Maker contracts, which means that in the near future we will add XMR to Hitbtc. New Market Makers are still welcome, visit our official page to know more about contract proposal: https://hitbtc.com/mm

XMR, Welcome to Hitbtc!  Cheesy

SO IT BEGINS! Monero is added to Hitbtc exchange! You are all welcome to start trading!

I am not signed yet for a while. I've gone to the site and see no XMR trading. For control purposes, I went to the Poloniex & MintPal and DO see Monero trading - charts and even distinct orders - easily, without sign in.

You guys have to completely simplify web ui of hitbtc.com - I can not start trading intuitively. So I ask - how I can see Monero orders & start trading?

You have to be logged in. They should change it so that all markets can be viewed by the public.

Pretty much proving my point that you are not marketing savy at all. The last two sentences prove that. Of course you can market half finished products. Ask Google (beta) about that sometime.

Its good that you acknowledge the horrible state of the usability right now, but this is just further evidence of a dev "team" either incapable of moving fast, unwilling to move fast, or unwilling to acknowledge their own short comings and accept help. There really is no excuse for a three month timeline being considered too long to solve the basic usability issues here and cranking up the marketing.

And as for your argument that you don't see TV commercials for Bitcoin, Bitcoin gets hundred of free articles and videos per day generating exposure. Thats what happens when you reach the inflection point of the growth curve.

Not acknowledging the need for rapid development and marketing, and ignoring the threat of competition just seems like a sure path to failure to me. Would love to be proven wrong.

What is here to market at the moment? We aren't user friendly right now, it will take some time until the broader mass can use our client without problems.

You simply don't market a half-finished "product"

PS: Do you see tv spots from the Bitcoin devs praising everyone to buy bitcoin? I don't Wink

No problem, you will be.

No need for rapid development?
Show me one Coin github which is more active:
https://github.com/i2pcpp/i2pcpp/commits/master (i2p router c port)
https://github.com/mikezackles/bitmonero/commits/daemonize ("daemonizing" the daemon branch)
https://github.com/tewinget/bitmonero/commits/rocksdb (db implementation started - using rocksdb, a leveldb fork)
https://github.com/tewinget/bitmonero/commits/rpcwallet (rpc based wallet for exchanges/merchants etc)
https://github.com/Neozaru/bitmonero/commits/wallet_wrapper (high level gui api)
https://github.com/Neozaru/bitmonero-qt/commits/master (Qt based gui for monero)
... plus the sideprojects...

If you want to help, help with the GUI or come to monero-dev on freenode, we have tons of work.
Or if you want to speedup everything and cant help with code, theres a devfund address in the startpost.

Hi all,

I just launched a new pool dedicated to CryptoNotes noteminer.com. The Monero pool is the only one functioning so far, but I'd love for you guys to check it out and leave me some feedback on design.

I have scripts in place to ensure the wallet/daemon do not de-sync with the pool - which means we should have NO downtime due to backend issues.

Here's a little preview:

I look forward to hearing from you all Smiley

If anyone still don't think Monero will become the next big coin, just read the news: https://archive.today/KKAZH
no one that considers his privacy seriously can trust bitcoin to be totally untraceable, monero is the future, its inevitable...

Those who underestimate the value of privacy do it at their own peril, there is a huge market out there. I know it dragged me into MRO, and i otherwise had zilch interest in alt coins. Never owned one before this.

I am rotating a little of my gold (and i rarely ever sell) to MRO, something i didnt even do for BTC.

I dont know if it'll be MRO, Zerocash or something else, but a privacy-centric coin is the future.

Side note...why the ticker change ? Regardless if it was officially changed, let's stick to MRO with eachother. Smiley

I dont think it would be any more challenging than it has been for the exchanges to start trading XMR. I suppose the only issue is that for them to make it work they have had to override some of the anonymity features in order to make their transactions traceable.
