There was a transaction spamming attack going on, thus the high fee at the moment for everybody to counter it. An update should come reasonably soon to set a fee proportional to the transactions sizes. It should again put a reasonably low fee for most (small) transactions.

Meanwhile, as a miner you also get more  Wink

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's.
This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

what will you currently do with 0.1 xmr ? mostly nothing
so wait to have 1 monero or 10 monero ans withdraw it all in one time.
Of course it means you must stick on the same pool for a little time Smiley
This 0.1xmr payment threeshold is a pure bullshit in the monero pool ecosystem.

And second may be its your pool which pay the fees  like on all others pool. As far as the transaction is from their wallet.

This fork guard script is a bullshit. Period. It's PR guide. I'll stay away from these results, script obviously made with another purpose, just like stratum proxy locked to his pool. That's fucking funny how your block height is always higher than everyone's on the list.

Remove my pool from it.

I have the same problem

Where I can to get the latest blockchain without MEGA?

thanks

UPD: http://www.fayloobmennik.net/4084993 or http://my-files.ru/c1p27u

These instructions may help you:

If anyone wants to sync themselves due to the chance of a dodgy blockchain (mine isn't but I can understand the concerns - see smooth's post below), download the blockchain from the OP and then start bitmonerod with the flag "--add-priority-node 88.151.101.22:18080". That will preferentially try to sync to a known good node (thanks to hegemoOn and his pool [monero.coolmining.club] for that). It's how I got my chain synced to the right fork. You can still end up on the wrong fork but this gives you a better chance.

Also, you can 'save' your blockchain in bitmonerod at around block 202000, so that way if you end up on the wrong fork just close bitmonerod without saving and try again.

My transaction shows up on two different blocks.

http://chainradar.com/xmr/transaction/e977b3ba1a9bee5e6f1d1164f75a7e1ab3f72607536934beb3d813a71f64bc3e

Thought this might be resolved today. Deposited to mintpal yest, still 0 balance, no idea where my coins are.

Edit: SOLVED. Thanks Smooth, thanks Mintpal. Coins now appear safe.

If pool operator/ exchange / seed node want to put stable results, please download forkguard-script and send me mail to get your free key

Code:
GETHJSON=`echo "$GETH" | sed 's/^M//g' | sed 's/ //g'| sed -e :a -e '/$/N; s/\n//; ta' | cut -c 2- | rev | cut -c 2- | rev`

Hmm, someone might want to rewrite that in python or so, and add error checking

"Torvalds" in the above context isn't a possessive noun but rather a descriptive modifier.  So no apostrophe is required.

The convention is to use the noun preceding Unix as an adjective.  EG: AT&T Unix (not AT&T's Unix), Berkeley Unix (not Berkeley's Unix), SCO Unix (not SCO's Unix), and Wollongong Unix (not Wollongong's Unix).

Sorry English is such a confusing language, especially for you non-native speakers.   Smiley

Think of it like a color; the word 'red' is a often a noun, but when placed before another noun it turns into an adjective.  Because magic.
So any noun (or noun phrase) can be turned to adjective in English? Thanks!

Who's in control of that address? How are the proceeds split up?
Me and fluffypony. The proceeds are split up according to the priority and funds available.

Donations are encouraged. There is a thread to track and encourage donations, perhaps someone has a link to it.

Update on the update

We have developed an update to address the both the vulnerability that led to the attack and the blockchain corruption that resulted from the attack, and we are currently testing it.

Please pay close attention here so that you will know when it is available.

Once released we strongly urge everyone to update ASAP.

More soon.

Seems people have many troubles with downloading blockchain. Still can't understand why devs won't upload blockchain to mega as a mirror. I'll never download blockchain from untrusted source these days and ever.

The trouble isn't with downloading it, that works just fine. The trouble is with us updating the Windows download to a non-forked one, which necessitates us first finishing off this block-pinning code.

Why is the op blockchain over a month old? The post says its kept current, but its not. I still had to sync 12 days when i download for the 8.8.2 upgrade after the last attack.

On an average connection getting through 12 days should not take long at all.

it takes about 4 hours on my 15mbps, but that wasn't my point. my point was the block in the op was a month old, before this attack, it is supposed to be current. I want to know what current means because right now 30 days take me all day to download while locking up my system to near uselessness.
