Hello fellow JPC miners, I'm still new here so I'm sorry if this isn't appropriate, but I started a thread on Reddit's cryptocurrency sub-reddit for JPC.  I feel this coin has all the features to become a huge coin, but has to get enough attention to stand out in the sea of clones and shit/scam coins.  If you're a fellow redditor, give it some feedback and/or an upvote, it'll benefit us all to see this coin succeed Cheesy Also, this is a self-post, so I don't get any karma here, just doing what I can to get our coin out there into the world.

LoL. "commiecoin". Thats an idea.

Of course distribution would have to be tightly controlled and no trading allowed  Wink

Maybe its been explained before, but could someone recap how to setup the jackpotcoin wallet and gain POS?

If you're using QT:

[1] - open the wallet
[2] - encrypt it (Settings --> Encrypt Wallet)
[3] - quit
[4] - restart
[5] - note your wallet address

Staking:

[6] - transfer coins to wallet
[7] - you should see a message in the bottom left hand corner saying "Minting suspended due to locked wallet"
[8] - click the "Unlock Wallet" button and type your password - the message should go away
[9] - wait 24 hours with your wallet open and don't let your energy saver put the machine to sleep
[10] - just continue leaving your wallet open and at the end of the second day check to see if you have anything in your transaction history with a couple of hammers (mining icon). That says that those coins were mined as opposed to 'transferred' into the wallet

So basically, it's just a case of leaving your wallet open all the time and UNLOCKED. Remember to unload your wallet whenever you launch it, otherwise it won't be able to stake. I always forget that bit.

   Thanks!!!

I contacted JP Buntinx of Cryptoarticles and politely suggested he take a look at the coin. Lets see if anything comes of it.

One of the incentives for people to 'get in early' is the high staking interest early on. It will drop to 1 tenth at some point in the future. I think that's a great feature.

More people know about deep inside of this coin,

Jackpot is not all of this coin,

Jackpotcoin is not a copy & paste coin,

ONLY Innvative coin should be successed,

It is an only way to clean the altcoin market.

Have a nice day

OK, here is another coin image proposal, this time with a full icon set for major operating systems (Linux, Windows, Mac OSX, iOS 6, iOS7, android & Windows phone). The graphic is recognizable and distinctive at all sizes, and it has good contrast on light or dark backgrounds.

The full set is here. Just in case, my JPC wallet address is JRhV4K3cVSB2UkCavpi2ahPYVdVdQuT3tN  Cheesy

32x32
...

Could you try with various different environment maps please? The half circle dark reflection is not bad in itself, but I tend to like symmetry.
As for the text, maybe keep the one above, and replace the other two by a slogan (just an idea, we may keep it like this, depending on the result).
I don't have a specific wish for the style, as long as it fits with the coin. And it's better to find a definitive design about the coin first.

Different studio setting, back side without Jackpot. Kind of plain on the back, I would go with keeping the words. Don't know why the imgur link shows "invalid image" in preview. Here's the album: http://see360.imgur.com. If you like it, I'll "cut out" just the coin and save it as a set of different sizes.

That's almost perfect, I'd say. Just make sure the superior Jackpot word is place above and symmetrically. Also, could you try with a somehow different golden?

Is jackpotcoin considered to be an type of X11 coin? I really like the fact that my rigs are running smoothly with a lot less heat/noice and half the electricity.

Yes sir, I use right around half wattage and the algo allows me to underclock to keep a stead 58 degrees on the 750 tis! amazing algo, better than x11 by far in terms of efficiency/card temperature for summer.

the introduction website

http://www.bomijoa.com/?document_srl=4631

It is pretty difference from X11, because of it has design to support lower power and balanced performance between CPU, GPU (nVIDIA, AMD). this method has very high anti-parallelism method to repel high end hardware (latest GPU and ASIC), and much saving power for the non-linear performance,

such as when mining with 50% of GPU Power, hasing speed is not less than 75% of it's full power.

The best way to get the performance/cost when using this coin,  75~85% of hashing rate with 50~60% of full performance of hardware such as CPU/GPU.

The power saving is pretty higher than the other methods
