Sounds racist to me, all golds disadvantage will be held as advantages by someone else as some just prefer the tangible over the theoretical instant magic of bitcoin. Weight could be useful as it only takes a small amount for worth, just a gram of gold is substantial amount of cash in many countries and will pay a weeks bills. It relates to compactness, I know not BTC is lighter then air :p but its no longer physical at that point. The weight relates to coin definition as well
Agree. As far as the tax aspect is concerned, death and taxes cannot be avoided, even if you use bitcoins.  |

The problem with gold investment is that the price of gold is being manipulated. the big players have been FUDding up gold price, sold gold to the noobs and now are pulling levers to get gold down again, so they can buy back. If gold can be manipulated that easily then its losing its point somewhat. The idea is that gold is a non leveraged asset not part of the wider trading dynamics and political bias that normal cash now has. Gold price is still greatly up just not near term, that is typical of a free market if anything. No seller or consumer is served exclusively, many mines are struggling to make profit. |

On one hand you are right but on the other hand the fact that the price is manipulated to be low is an opportunity to buy low before they can't hold the price anymore |

There is no direct revenue from your holdings but buying Gold or Bitcoin are a great bet when you know the USD will collapse and the US and European State intervene too much in their respective economies which will have dire consequences for them |
