"Obsolete" and "centralized" are specific accusations that I backed up with analysis.
The charge of obsolescence is justified because NXT, as a script based platform, has orders of magnitude less state space (and hence functionality) than a modern, Turing-complete distributed computer.
The charge of centralization is justified because NXT tries to cram too much into the base protocol and relegates additional functionality to "plug-in" status, rather than the proper approach of a neutral platform running DAPPs.
"Centralized" is also an apt description of NXT's economic distribution, with a tiny handful of insiders controlling the vast majority of tokens.
"Junk" is exactly the right word to describe NXT's heaps of objectively useless, and almost completely abandoned, middleware code.
You won't fool us, it's obvious that you are just making excuses. Why don't you respond on point, rather than simply ignoring the substance of my posts? How can NXT's simplistic old-fashioned limited scripting abilities possibly compete with Turing-complete distributed computers? How can NXT's few remaining devs compete with the maelstrom of creativity and vitality surrounding ETH? How can NXT's bungled and shitty initial distribution to a few insiders compete with ETH's carefully planned and transparently executed crowdsale to a widespread ecosystem? I'm not sure I understand why a platform that is designed to record cryptographically signed event sourced transactions and share that database of transactions with a network of computers needs to be turing complete? After all the NXT platform runs on top of turing complete systems, why duplicate that inherently? What does that buy you for the stated use cases?

Do you even know what farm to table Turing complete means? I do but you are changing the subject, a very coward way to debate somebody, it means that you lose the argument. However it's not like ETH is ready isnt it? So for now it is only a fantasy. Please explain how comparing (however unfavorably) NXT to ETH is "changing the subject." It's just too bad for NXT's bagholders that it is obsolete. Maybe NXT could be relaunched as a proper (ie Turing complete) distributed *COMPUTER* (instead of a distributed pocket calculator )? Regardless, ETH is ready; you can write DAPPs for it RIGHT FUCKING NAO!!11!!! https://dappsforbeginners.wordpress.com/Please try to keep up with the rest of the class. NXT is really full of controversy and untransparency, from distribution, pyramid assets to such meme guys.

So you think ETH will be scam proof? The moment scammers figure out how to code in ETH's new language, you will see hordes of scammers invading it. Scam asset after scam asset, there will be so many scams in ETH that it will become new normal Seriously, the fact that scammers are there has nothing to do with neither ETH nor NXT. Thats just human nature. (Plus its not like ETH has any transparency whatsoever, so you found the wrong comparison)

Emule blocktree not only working the same thread as iCEBREAKER but even quoting the uber-troll.
Let us observe a minute's silence in memory of this great moment.

I am trying to put forward reason and evidence in favor of NXT. But yes trolls seem to regurgitate the same stuff over and over again, plus this is not an ETH thread. So i think the OP should moderate it and delete all other altcoin posts.

Agree, this thread should become moderated. The goal of trolls is to stop constructive discussion and talk the project down in order to bring people to lose interest and/or motivation. This must be stopped! i do not understand why you guys always respond to those trolls. just ignore them. it is not worth the time and it will not change their mind.

It's the good old DIVIDE ET IMPERA method, and even if the trolls lose the argument, the mere fact that the discussion is distrupted creates FUD and hurts NXT's price and it's reputation. I`m pro free speech, but I hate trolls and deliberate saboteours , and they should be censored.

Is the dev of nxterinfo.org active in this thread? I tried to request some NXT from the faucet and I always get a error after submitting my address, email and solving the captcha.

It is because you have probably used the faucet multiple times. I got a error message too, after I claimed at the second time. Is the dev of nxterinfo.org active in this thread? I tried to request some NXT from the faucet and I always get a error after submitting my address, email and solving the captcha.

At the moment it's a one-time paying faucet. We are thinking about making an interval. We'll see

I am new to this coin and I have a big confusion in my head. What is NXT and what is HZ. Are the same thing or the second is the successor of the first? Or are two coin in concurrence with each other? Or are the same thing (I see the web wallets have the same configuration) but that are on their own because the devs had divergences between each other and had every of those developed the own software.
Can someone explain me what is going on?
Thanks!

No HZ came out after NXT, many months later. NXT came out in april 2014 and HZ in october. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=823785Looks like HZ is a copycat of NXT, NXT is the original cryptocurrency

Nxt is first, original. HZ is a clone, like many other Nxt clones

Thanks to both of you for the explanation. One my friend recommended HZ to me and I am already involved in this coin. Every coin will have its fate. My fate was connected with this coin. For the moment I will try even I see that all the info and the other similar things found in both the coins are much more less at HZ. I see even the price. NXT has a much higher price than HZ. Anyhow lets hope the best for both of those. In this world has place for even more other coins. It is a big world.
