Why would james go to Waves? He has Supernet... shall he abandon one of it's core coins?

He doesn't trust the Nxt devs, basically. Partly because they broke backwards compatibility so many times. Partly because he wasn't happy with 2.0 as it was originally presented, especially the fact that the devs were committed to doing it regardless of whatever he, or anyone else, said. At the time it was thought 2.0 would replace 1.0 and all the assets forcibly moved to the new network. He expressed a concern that splitting NXT into forging and transactional coins would affect the value of the transactional coin and thus cause problems for any asset priced in NXT. That's why he felt he had to "rescue" his assets.

Now the original plan has been revised, and I'm not sure if his objections still hold, but there's clearly a lot of instability on the horizon. All the above is my interpretation of what he wrote on the Nxt forums, so I may have misunderstood. He doesn't hang out there any more, so I've no idea about his current views. I doubt he'll come back for a long time, if ever. He's disgusted with us.

FXT (staking token) will be distributed at a 1:1 ratio
FNX (transaction token on the first child chain) will be distributed at a 1:0,5 ratio.

Both will have a 1 billion supply

OK, but as i understand both can be traded for each other?
Just seems strange that the total balance will be half than what we had first with NXT, but in saying that, we sill still be holding our original NXT and if the FNX potentially could be trading for more anyway?

The total balance will be the same, 1 billion. The devs are keeping half back for community funds.

i known NXT from youtube video of Marc De Mesel, i wuld like to love NXT, if i understood what it is

1. could anyone enlighten me, what is the difference between NXT and etherium, also LISK
(NXT and LISK both using java, but all could easy into programming specially etherium)

2. english is not my native language, blockchain and coinbase is very easy to use, but NXT dashboard is confusing, i dont even know what all those feature for, and how to use it
i cant even decide how to accept NXT, also how to send the money both reveal/anonymous , i think people need dummy tutorial on how to use every feature, and please simplify things.. to many text and confusing code or icon makes my brain overheat

3. is it save to buy NXT now, was told there is going to be fork and potentially ruin the beauty of the cripto (even i dont know how to use it)

Perhaps you can tell us more specifically what you don't understand? Using NXT is very much like using Bitcoin. There are just many more transaction types other than just sending coins (tokens).

I make some of your observations absolutely valid. The problem is, many of those confusing dashboard features were far too clever, and completely unnecessary, at the time they were conceived. I dont believe they are used that much, at this time.
NXT was very innovative and in some ways, groundbreaking. But it seems the "build it, and they will come" phrase, should not have been relied upon.
Your problems adopting it yourself, is interesting, and should be fundamentally understood by any dev from this time forward, if a project has any chance of being adopted in any meaningful way.

When you hold NXT from 1 july till 1 october snapshot are taken and you will receive the same amunt in the forging/staking token for Nxt 2.0: FXT (temp name). You will receive all the fees from all the blocks you have forged of all childchains! Something like mining, but you can do it with your own computer.

And you will receive 0.5 FNX (temp name). The transaction token/coin in the new childchain for the new Nxt.

And you keep the NXT in the old Nxt that will not stop. So good give you nice profits the coming years.

Soon the marketing campaign will start and probably people want to buy more NXT. The price of NXT is low now, so could be a good choice to do it now. It's very unlikey that the price of NXT will be lower (never did before).

You are right. It is not a swap, because you don't need to send your original Nxt to exchange for new Nxt 2.0.
