probably it is a regular thing about the node.js language - but isn't it unsafe to enter your password in a browser?
please forgive my ignorance, but how can it be safe when it is sent to an ip somewhere?
in the case of NXT I can understand that the client is running locally and the PW does not leave my machine - but what if someone does IP spoofing or packet inspection?
so let me just assume that my password is processed locally in javascript and the communication with the server is done secured by the password but not containing the password in cleartext? That would make most sense to me. Since it's node.js your password should be processed locally yes. It seems to be transfered in clear text though: http://picpaste.de/pics/node_test-SwrhxlUv.1407051530.png

What % of the Node distribution is done so far? Any estimate as to when it will be done?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=186785Here is the link to my trust settings here on forum. This trust system is very unfair. I make good on every deal Ive ever made. I had many, many deals as you can see and I never scammed anyone. All it takes is a random account to give you negative trust and youre screwed. Tomatocage has never even talked to me ever but when the random acct hit me with negative trust, Tomatocage came right behind him and marked neg trust again so obviously he was the one who did it. You can look at Tomatocage trust and see how many of his compeditors at the currency exchange thread he labeled scammers. I never scammed anyone. My trust was green over 20 before this. I hope it never happens to you because the mods cant help you.

# Daily Update ... # The wallet change problem! Please verify! I'm 100% positive that it doesn't have anything related with the server! Cause its the same system! But just to be sure, try logging in with your password, if it gives you a different account, than the one mentioned in the Member list, notify us! ...
In my case everything seems to be ok, the password I chose gives me the exact account I'd chosen before. And I got a stake! Thank you, devs!

Btw, please, give us a link to the Member list on the 1st page like it was before. And it looks like "Learn more" buttons are not working there either (though I guess you know it, but just in case...).

I get NODE Account # 12336957661887674448
My number in the list is #15641667066091303754
And I dont have the password wrong, I already made that mistake with NEM, I may have lost my NEM stake because of it. Patmast3r said he will try to help me, but thats another story.
I copied the password from a text file this time, and pasted it in when I made my account. I am pasting in the same password from the same text file.
I am coming up with different Acct number than what is in the list and what I had typed in my text file.
I am having the worst luck with my stakes in these things.

Had the same issue with NXT. In my case it was because of additional space before or after my password. Try add it.

Sorry to hear that! The input is case and space sensitive! If you copy/pasted the password from a text file there is a chance that you copied by accident an extra space, either at the end or beginning of the passphrase! Try different combinations!

probably it is a regular thing about the node.js language - but isn't it unsafe to enter your password in a browser?
please forgive my ignorance, but how can it be safe when it is sent to an ip somewhere?
in the case of NXT I can understand that the client is running locally and the PW does not leave my machine - but what if someone does IP spoofing or packet inspection?
so let me just assume that my password is processed locally in javascript and the communication with the server is done secured by the password but not containing the password in cleartext? That would make most sense to me. Since it's node.js your password should be processed locally yes. It seems to be transfered in clear text though: http://picpaste.de/pics/node_test-SwrhxlUv.1407051530.pngThanks for the clarification. But certainly this IS a major security weakness. Just remember the thefts we have seen in NXT! Is this hole going to closed soon? Hopefully it will be..

As for the password issue, they don't have the server setup with SSL at this point. Once they do, it will be just like any other financial site like your bank, paypal etc. Even this site is using SSL.. So for now, yes there's an issue.
