Well, if NODE realy uses N*N topology we realy have a serious problem. If there are just 1000 nodes online many users will have problems as it's not uncommon that cheap consumer routers can't handle that much connections (or even more).
I have several times repeated, we use technology node.js. Node.js allows the use of both 100 000 connection. I'm not talking about the scalability peers, then we will go further. Node.js network application Keep up the good work. If you build it, they will come. The dumpers will look back and see their error and we will all laugh about this. Node is either going to change the world or it won't, all the troubles in between are just steeping stones on the path. A network is not just a theoretical number of connections. Also means some physcaly infrastructure: routers, switches, etc For those big numbers sure should be some state-of-the-art products. You have the latest network technology in bedroom ? How many simultaneous connections can eg your router or switch to have with torrents? You got the point! It's not of interest how much connections Node.js can handle in theory. The bottleneck is the hardware the people are using. Don't understand me wrong, RealSilk, I don't want to FUD on Node as I think it's a great idea and all plus I'm personally invested. But we need to point out potential problems before they actually become a real problem. The fact is that the router does not send all but only a few PEER (main peers, and minor). They already sent farther it takes a fraction of milliseconds, read the post above https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=590421.msg9544254#msg9544254 (In principle, correctly explained the idea). It might be interesting to see how it looks network topology in NODE ? Graphically ? In my spare time I will try to organize If interested in reading http://habrahabr.ru/post/123154/ (in russian) - 1 000 000 conection But your client will not need one million connections, maximum 10-50

All exchanges add coins with high market transactions. No need to pay them, they will add just to get their cut. No need to pay bitrrex anything, we should be careful about this. Poloniex is a good option and no need to pay them either, if NODE is good enough more exchanges will at add it.
yes, poloniex is the best exchange at the time Agreed. ok, this is like stellar. first exchange only bx.in.th then this coin going viral over facebook, community growing. and then many exchange add stellar like justcoin, btc38, poloniex. in the fact stellar no wallet. only online wallet. lol

I was able to deploy a node using a Raspberry Pi B+ on Arch Linux.
The only thing I have a question about is when I check the 'Peers' section in the online wallet, it is showing my node's status as "check" and it's been about 12hrs+.
Now this being a RPi node, would it take longer to sync to the network?
edit: I just checked and the client is running

just be patience and hold node, i have the feeling one day we look back to those prices right now and wish we would have bought more.
No doubt, I ran for state house and I was asked how I could afford to quit my job if I got elected. My response was that I would quit my job if I had to because "You can make money every day of the week but you can change the world only once". I feel like NODE is one of those opportunities. Keep up the good work devs, you are doing more than you know.

Check last 10-20 blocks. As you can see my accs no more able to take even 50% of it. Regardless the fact that I even sent 160k back and forth.
And that is just after one more (or two) person started to do what I did. No that easy to exploit system anymore. POA is great. I don't even think anymore that it needs any improvments or changes.

If not I guess max that you can get is 20k.
