The change in value occurs as people see something you don't seem to be seeing. This is part of a larger marketing strategy to gain NAUT recognition outside of cryptos community, which is what can make the coin more valuable. Not just that, it is one more step toward giving NAUT a use outside of the internet. So when people see something like that happen, they do buy the coin (which changes the price) because they see this as something that is good for the value of the coin overall. I know that the crypto community isn't the best at marketing or advertising, which holds a lot of good coins back. |

Jon and I never met before this sponsorship. We have become friends over the last week while planning/negotiating this deal. Just for the record, Jon gets it...my experience with Jon has shown that he is a savvy businessman who understands that this sponsorship could be just the beginning. At this point in the life cycle, virtually all digital currencies are built on speculation about what they may become. As for what Jon says on Twitter or elsewhere, those are his own words...do you really think I want to be the guy to try and tell an MMA fighter what to say?  ? I've seen tons of people asking what Naut is in just the last 24 hours because they heard of the sponsorship. This is what puts a coin on the map for many people. It happened to Blackcoin when then they sponsored the Dogecoin conference and to Dogecoin itself when they sponsored the Jamaican bobsled team earlier this year. We've still yet to see the real effects of this, as the story hasn't even been covered by any of the major crypto news site yet. Coindesk will have an article up soon from what I've heard, and Followthecoin reached out to BK for an interview a few hours ago on Twitter. Things are just starting to get rolling :-) |
