This is an example of how good bitcoin is.

Most businesses pay around 3% in credit card transaction fees. But for the very small businesses that have to sell on eBay, they must pay 14%.

With Bitcoin a $100 payment would cost the buyer ~$0.06

Doesn't have to be a bit coin auction site though. Those are ebay fees and how they make their money even if they accepted BTC it would still be the same.

Would eBay or PayPal accept digital currency, it would be the end. eBay and PayPal is a "legal" criminal organisation. It's not about the fees, every one can ask as much fee as he want, but no one can open a business without an address or a company license..., except eBay and PayPal!

Try to find their contact details, business registration number or company address... You can't !

Typing in "ebay" into google and the right hand side has a box with details about the company. Among the details is this

It looks like you don't even need to go to their website to get their phone number

I can assure you that there is no address information about eBay or PayPal in HK.

In HK? Do you mean Hong Kong?

That is a very specific request to be making for such a large company. What if they don't have any physical operations there? There would be no reason to have an address.

bitcoin can make their business in dangerous if many people using it for auction Grin

If Bitcoin becomes a threat to them they will just implement it like they're apparently looking at doing. They'll just find away to take their cut and it'll be the same as using Paypal really.

And cryptothrift is up and working fine for me.

It's actually way more in countries outside the U.S. (Europe mostly) that have a different taxation. Ebay has lost their marbles when it comes to fees, but then again the amazon market fees are even higher...

The fees at eBay suck, though they do offer fantastic protection for the buyer. Recently I noticed that they restructured how they charge fees, 10% flat rate, plus 20 x free insertion fees per month. Free auto-relisting. That's what I'm talking about.

Screw paying 40p insertion fee every time you want to try sell an item, only to find out that you need to re-list, again and again making the damn listing pointless.

Both Ebay and PayPal have crazy fees...but that's what you get when you get "on the street" brand awareness.  While ebay is ebay...at least there are a few up and comers that offer a bit better rates for money transfers.

Duetschpire, do you have any fees for sellers other than the escrow fee?  Looks very reasonable if so, just curious, I'm glad I found this since I've been looking for a crypto auction site for a while now.
