How do people use paypal so much? Really, what is the reason? They are f-ing people over constantly. Both with their fees (try to convert currencies as a merchant) and account frezing..
Lack of awareness of viable alternatives next to Visa with merchants that accept it for trade That is changing though with Bitcoin and more merchants adopting it but it will still take some time |

problem with cryptothrift they dont do much in marketing and getting themselves out there, they need someone and something that can make them different. If cryptotrift are looking for help with promotion,why not refer them to me since I have a paid for twitter promotion service? As I'm frustrated with the high fees on eBay and would want an alternative to replace them as a seller.  |

I made my first purchase on cryptothrift today. Everything went smooth but the site itself does look like crap. I think with a bit of promotion maybe a sig campiagn and a site makeover, they could be doing much better.

Lack of awareness of viable alternatives next to Visa with merchants that accept it for trade That is changing though with Bitcoin and more merchants adopting it but it will still take some time I think it is really more the lack of alternatives. Prior to bitcoin there really were not any alternatives and bitcoin is still relatively new to the P2P transaction marketplace |

Ebay is pretty fucking ridiculous. The only use it really has is to build up a decent reputation if you want to start an online store, otherwise fee's fuck you up real bad. If you are only selling random shit sporadically, you might as well go WTS in the forum related to the object you want to sell.

Whoever makes an equivalent site may take a huge market share away from Ebay once Ebay wakes up and decides to be a part of the Bitcoin movement.
Its going to take a big site to take away any of eBay's market share though. And once they see it happening, they could squash the competition pretty easily, buy them out, OR start taking BTC. I know the CEO of PayPal has mentioned it several times in interviews. I think its def. on their radar |

is the delivery fee taken into consideration when ebay wants their cut of the money ?
if you want to sell a $100 item, could you sell it for $10, make the buyer pay $90 shipping, and then pay ebay what ever percentage of $10 instead of the full $100 ? would that work ?

that used to work for years until they put a stop to it Yeah they charge a flat 10% final value fee on the item cost & shipping costs now, unless you have an ebay store, then final value fees go down to around 5-6% for most stuff |

q I don't think anyone resents the fact they charge fees, it's that they are quite high. Granted they corner most of the market, so many people just put up with it, a better site will come along one day I would expect. |
