It depends on the miner and version you're using.
Minera is just a User Interface, not a mining SW.
well ... i'm ok with cgminer or bfgminer ... just want to use it with my RPi and the Gekko-STicks

Just started using minera for my 3 gridseed blade pcb's. At start the system says i got 3 local miners. But 3minutes later i got 15 :S hashing at pool says about 9mh/s. so thats ok. Is this a bug? Same problem for BFGminer as for Cgminer (cgdmaxlzeus) https://i.gyazo.com/e5c10f42bc5ced9e0b15a830322a7f95.pngfrom log: [2015-11-25 22:40:34] GSD 0: Failed to send work [2015-11-25 22:40:34] GSD 3: Failed to send work [2015-11-25 22:40:34] GSD 1: Failed to send work [2015-11-25 22:40:35] Found GSD 4aa at /dev/serial/by-id/usb-STMicroelectronics_STM32_Virtual_COM_Port_48D8685D3031-if00 [2015-11-25 22:40:35] Found GSD 5aa at /dev/ttyACM5 [2015-11-25 22:40:35] Found GSD 6aa at /dev/ttyACM4

Runs fine mostly with cpuminer. though sometimes have to restart the miner from the menu after first boot to get it to settle down. It will also do odd things sometimes on certain pools, nicehash being most notable. Seems solid on litecoinpool and ghash. My manual options are set to :- --gc3355-detect --freq=800 --gc3355-chips=40 This is with a minera image. Had to recompile from source to get minerd running with a manual install on top of ubumtu mate. (it was on an orange pi which may have been the issue) HTH

I noticed some discrepancies between Minera and Cryptoglance. they both report the same number of HW errors, but not the same % (and not the same number of accepted shares, hence the difference in HW error %)

HW errors are actually calculated against the accepted shares as far as I am aware? The Cryptoglance image has a large number of accepted compared to what Minera has displayed, or am I understanding your question incorrectly?

Yes you're right
My question is: why does minera show less accepted shares than cryptoglance.

i was wondering....
where do i change it so i can have screen running as well as echo the output to the monitor as a status, i know there's a switch to echo the miners output to a com port etc.. but the pi has a small rca driven monitor slapped to the front of the rack.
just would like to walk by and see what’s it doing at a glance instead of having to login to the pi via ssh or http (still cant login via http on the ps3 (for ultimate laziness)).
thats all, any solutions to those two options (output redirection or autologin) would be great from any of you guys here.
If you connect via SSH and type "screen -r" you can bring up the miner software output console. Type "ctrl+a" and "d" to detach it. Oh no no i know that... just redirecting the output of "screen" to the lcd attached to the rca port of the rpi2 thats all.. there was a redirect option switch in the command line of both bfg and cgminer but, i dont know how to get it to dump it out the rca lol I have an lcd monitor on the front of my rack and all it shows is the boot up process and not the mining process, i wouldlike to see the mining process dumped to the screen (lcd) on the front of the rack.

Using 2 gekko sticks and seems to be working fine for now, although setup took me a little while as I got some errors. I will followup if I have any problems. Thank you for this!

Just to inform you I updated Minera to version 0.6.2.
This is only a maintenance version to update the dead Ghash.io Multi pool with the LTC one.
I will upload the new image file asap.

are you going to add bfgminer 5.4.* to new versions ? this will help with people buying the sidehack miners that run on the new cgminer and bfgminers

I hope to include it soon. In the meantime you can always use the build script to update your miners version. https://github.com/michelem09/minera/wiki/Getting-started#build-miners
