Hi my friend! Thanks! Well, I had that project about MobileMiner clone, but I'm really busy with my job so I put it on hold. I released the 0.6.2 but it has only packages updates no new code, but yes I still take care of my baby Minera Wink

Let see what this 2016 will bring to us.

To all of you have a great new year and may the force be with you! Smiley

BTw the new Starwars movies is awesome, more like the very first one, but they had to please everyone, the first time around or it could have been one big flop and very costly , JJ abrams makes awesome movies and knows just what everyone wants .

new star trek move is due to hit this summer , i watched the trailer to it the other day looks good, same main cast as the first two JJ put out  etc .

You shouldn't have said may the force be with you, JK ..

great that we won't have to worry about Minera not working because the DEV dropped it or lost interest.

to you and everyone May your next year be better then this year .

Okay. I decided to give this a try as it seemed like a better solution than running multiple instances of bf/c -gminer on my r-pi.

Have my old one but can't run them both at the same time so if we need configuration information, it may take a bit:

Original was just a regular r-pi running standard linux build and bfgminer starting with cron job (@reboot /usr/bin/screen -dmS bfg /home/pi/bfgminer/bfgminer --scrypt --url stratum+tcp://{{your_stratum_address}} --user {{your_username}} --pass {{your_password}} --zeus-cc 128 --zeus-clk 240 -S zeus:all). Worked great. Ran without any issues for months.

Wanted to add my Rockminer R-Box to the mix and, as I mentioned, didn't want to spawn another instance so thought I'd give minera a try.

Grabbed the pi image and booted up fine. Attempted (multiple different options/configs) to get it to run and continues to fail with mixed results. Using bfgminer seems to be the best but I can't get it to consistently recognize the zeus. I also don't know how to get it to do scrypt with the zeus and sha256 for the R-Box.

Don't want to put too much here as there may be a simple solution someone can point me to. I'll admit, I did NOT read all 133 pages of the thread - sorry - and searching didn't result in too much help either.

Hope someone can give me a good nudge to at least get the zeus's running.

Dont forget to enable root
Miner superuser (root)
Enable superuser mode (If your devices cannot get recognised please try enabling this option. The miner process will start with superuser/root rights, useful for some kind of devices.)

Also testing bfgminer and works fine

After all my trying to get my hashra lander running, I finally got it running using minera.  But the only place it will hash is on your default account.  It wont accept any pool i put in.  Why cant i remove your pool info?

i decided to give this a try and it looks good so far.. installed on linux mint 17.3 (ubuntu 14.04)

i see this is mostly setup for a mining host.. but all of my miners are network.. S5s and S3s

is there any way, even by editing the script, that i can change my dash to show those instead of miner offline?
also the top bar the 1m 5m and 1h is --- im guessing cause my miner is offline..

i know i can turn off the "local panels" but its still showing in big read that my miner is offline.. and the blue one system temp is NA.. what app do you use for that? i have lm-sensors installed and its working.

and the charts.. id love to see charts for my miners.. hash and temp.. but all i get is
Ops! No data collected, wait at least 5 minutes to see the chart.
Daily

Ops! No data collected, wait at least 15 minutes to see the chart.
Monthly

Ops! No data collected, wait at least 1 hour to see the chart.
Yearly

Ops! No data collected, wait at least 1 day to see the chart.

other then that.. its looking good..

If someone could help/advise me that would be great. I have over 200 Zeus Thunder x6's that i have been running on the zeus image for the past couple of weeks. I cant help but notice how shitty the interface is and how almost everytime it doesn't save pool changes and such.

My question to you would be how do i go about setting it up correctly in minera? ive read that the cgminer zeus fork doesn't always work to well with these units and that bfgminer would be a better option.

The chip count on these miners is 128 and the clock setting i prefer to use is 225.

Any assistance and help with setting it up would be great

Thanks!

the controller is the raspberry pi. I'm using powered usb hubs to connect multiple units to the rpi.

go here http://getminera.com/help to start with for minera once you have a Gen idea,  please read the help first you may not need any help after you do. it is best to use a self powered hub with minera because the pi/s can't power all 200 with out a external powered hub/s.
You might need more then one PI because each PI will only do so many per PI, i forget how many .

Basic lines needed on manual setting are
Code:
 --scrypt -S zus:all --set zus:chips=128 --set zus:clock=200 --retries=1

If you use the guided set up in minera this line should be all you need
Code:
--set zus:chips=128 --set zus:clock=200 --retries=1

In the guided set up  tun on scrypt ,scan all and the java setting if it's not on and logs , so you can see what might be wrong

you can  play with the clock setting to see what works best . ID say from 200 to 248 any thing over might give tons of Hard errors or the miners may not work .

Those lines under manual or guided with bfg loaded  should see all 200 and list them all if they are all X6.
Yes BFG is your best bet, it is really the only Script software miner kept updated.

You can set minera to see 50 per page.

This info is for setting up per different type of Zeus miner with BFG.

This is from the BFG read me

You should also configure the driver for your specific device:

--set zeusminer:clock=N        Clock frequency (default: 328)
--set zeusminer:chips=N        Number of chips per device
        Blizzard    :  6          Cyclone     :  96
        Hurricane X2: 48 (2*24)   Hurricane X3:  64 (2*32)
        Thunder   X2: 96 (4*24)   Thunder   X3: 128 (4*32)
Note: if you set this option incorrectly, the device may underperform and/or
      misreport hashrate.

For example:

Code:
bfgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://pool:port -u user -p pass -S zeusminer:\\.\COM3 --set zeusminer:clock=328 --set zeusminer:chips=128

This is  only so you have some thing to follow

This may help some for BFG  some of the setting in that post are not needed anymore, it's just to help more then anything .

https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=20477.0

I still run one of two Zeus miner from time to time they still can make some thing but with the new Script miners that are suppose to come out in two months they will become use less, other then to learn on .

one of the two company's coming out with faster and more efficient miners, said some thing about having a upgrade path for the old Zeus miner parts.

Chips-Count
   Blizzard: 6
   Cyclone: 96
   Hurricane X2: 48 (2*24)
   Hurricane X3: 64 (2*32)
   Thunder X2: 96 (4*24)
   Thunder X3: 128 (4*32)
   ThunderX6 : 128 (4*32)
   lightningX6: 256  (6*32)
   hurricaneX6 :64 (2*32)

These 2 are the same miner as far as speed and layout go.
Cyclone: 96
Thunder X2: 96

all speeds can start @ 200 and up , some may need to start @ 328 speed

if I renumber right all x6 start at 200 to 250 .

Hello,

I cant figure out something, how to access the JSON conf file for the miner pool, name, worker, username?>
I've been struggling with this since it should be alot easier to configure. I tried reading Minera's help page but that doesnt come with an answer either.

So is there any one willing to help me out?

Thanks in forth

Hi
I have three scrypt miners. How can I make minera so each miner to mine on different pool?
The only thing I seem to be doing is all three miners to mine on the same pool.

thanks

I'm not sure you can.

However, you can have all 3 rotate on your pools using the quota option

with cgminer:

QUOTAS

The load-balance multipool strategy works off a quota based scheduler. The
quotas handed out by default are equal, but the user is allowed to specify any
arbitrary ratio of quotas. For example, if all the quota values add up to 100,
each quota value will be a percentage, but if 2 pools are specified and pool0
is given a quota of 1 and pool1 is given a quota of 9, pool0 will get 10% of
the work and pool1 will get 90%. Quotas can be changed on the fly by the API,
and do not act retrospectively. Setting a quota to zero will effectively
disable that pool unless all other pools are disabled or dead. In that
scenario, load-balance falls back to regular failover priority-based strategy.
While a pool is dead, it loses its quota and no attempt is made to catch up
when it comes back to life.

To specify quotas on the command line, pools should be specified with a
semicolon separated --quota(or -U) entry instead of --url. Pools specified with
--url are given a nominal quota value of 1 and entries can be mixed.

For example:
--url poola:porta -u usernamea -p passa --quota "2;poolb:portb" -u usernameb -p passb
Will give poola 1/3 of the work and poolb 2/3 of the work.
