Hello there,
I did a fresh install of minera at my Raspberry Pi and it doesn't want to connect with the ethernet.. Any clue?
First step... do the basics. Check the cords, yup, unplug and replug everything. which version of pi? with wireless/without give more details on the steps you've already tried. sure, lots of times its something more... but if you list the things you did do... noone has to think about them first. is your router letting the connection in... did you switch the wireless settings for the new setup? im guessing it got a new ip, and myabe its blocked... everything else is working but that? your having trouble with wireless part? plug it directly, now it works... IE: pinpoint the problem by elimination ... gl i did not change anything its a fresh install which it refuses to connect with my router.. the cable its a brand new, also this pi doesnt have wifi cause its the old model..

You must have DHCP enabled on your router. If it's on try to connect the RPI directly to the router.

Claymore isn't supported by lack of API. L3+ isn't out yet but I don't think it will have the requirements. We plan do some L3+ and GPU mining (thinking about two currencies mine - in this case Claymore). But is there any alternative to mine tw currencies in same time and is it supported by Minera? Do you offer custom development/support of Minera also? Unfortunately GPU mining isn't supported neither multiple mining processes. For L3+ I don't know what miner software runs on it but I don't think it will be compatible with Minera For anything else please write to support@getminera.com

Hi, I have multiple Antminer S9s (latest batch). Will Minera allow me to monitor them?
Edit: my intent is to monitor any errors and the chip temps of each hash board

Unfortunately S9 is shipped with its own miner software (BMminer) that hasn't the API to dialog with. So the only one chance is to change the default miner with Cgminer, there is someone is trying that https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1569129.0 but I don't know the status.

This should do it https://"Redacted" 2 things.. (not to be mean etc...but) 1) its rude to post a link in someones topic pointing to another thing of software thats 'competing' and 2) from that forum link: " Antminer and SSH management Use "Redacted" to setup privileged API access for all your Bitmain Antminer ASIC's at once. Set and schedule frequency changes for Antminer (not available on S9 batch 16 or later running bmminer 2.0)." just saying

Do you think i will be unable to use any monitoring software? They all use BMiner 2.0

from what i glanced at, you are stuck using just their built in software atm.
i didnt read indepth however. maybe you should ask them to make an API patch....(or however that works) g

I didnt take it wrong. just pointing out that you shouldnt link to someone elsse's software. and you knowing the dev... kinda makes it look a bit worse. im not hopping and screaming. it doesnt affect me at all.... The other dev contacted me, and said that the software will work a bit better than what is posted in the specs he has... (depending on version i think still) but it wont be able to show/change x. (i forget what x is) ------------------------------------------------------- (i'm a humor person. Laugh alot etc. so read this with a smile) the x is Freq. so it might be able to READ the software, but not change that setting etc. (which is what i quoted in the first place from his page) He also Edited his page, to fix/clarify the disclaimer. So it might work better now.

Good question, I'm thinking about an update of Minera but there are too many factors that delay me. For example, USB mining is almost gone forever, I don't think we will see new USB devices in future and that was the main feature of Minera (manage USB devices). All the current profitable hardware are networked and many of them don't use anymore official Cgminer but closed forks that you can't do anything with it (example S9). So networked miners should require manual hard work to be connected to Minera (if you are able to do it). The main big feature everybody requests me almost every day is the Ethereum support, but again we lack a lot on possibility to monitor it. Claymore miner is closed source and if I understand it hasn't any API to get stats. Using standard miner is complex and running it via PHP could be a pain, and you cannot run a GPU device on a RPI so you should run it on Linux but I don't see a "simple" way to get it on board. And finally I don't like anymore PHP I abandoned coding with it since some years so I should rebuild Minera from scratch and I have no time to do that. That said I'd like to do a 0.7.1 just to fix something and update the code to support for example PHP7.0 but nothing more and I really don't know when.

Mmmh I think you need special options on the pool settings for MMR (extranonce if I remember well) but minerd doesn't support it, so you should try with Cgminer/Bfgminer.

Alright so after almost shooting myself in the head because of cgminer being so fucking terrible, i switched back to CPUMiner and figured out a fix, it's all about reading the log. When you try to connect with the stratum info that MRR gives you it failes saying "stratum requested to reconnect with ...". It fails after the stratum asks the software to reconnect with a different port, and it prints the new stratum info, all you have to do is just copy that new stratum info and connect to that insead of the stratum info that MRR give you on their website.

Looks like there must be some way to activate the API for S7/S9. http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/antminerapi.aspx
