That freedom is something that banks i think are afraid of, hence even jp morgan issuing a negative statement about btc. I think they're afraid that people will be released from being realiant in banks with all their fees and conditions.

This was posted three years ago, But if you think about it right now at 2017 more and more companies are recognizing the potential of Bitcoin, also what i have noticed is the transaction fee are getting ridiculously higher.  I have a Bitcoin wallet that is asking for 32500 satoshi for sending 30000 satoshi.
