Block reward anywhere from 5-10, maybe start at 8? Maybe 10 is too high indeed?
You have to keep the 15% for POS in account.

Yes the POS will be corrected to 15%
In comparing other coins with around the same cap - it didn't seem to matter what the block reward was in comparison to the coins trading value.
Maybe start with a block reward of 10, and reduce buy 1 untill ?? .5 ??
like, every 10,000 blocks it would reduce by 1

That would greatly help the network - assuming a couple of pools running - maybe some solo miners ...

Let's start with 10, we can optimally adjust the reward schedule later if needed.

Let's start with 10, we can optimally adjust the reward schedule later if needed.
That's how I am leaning right now, just thought I would 'put it out there' and see what others thought.

So - as it stands:
adjust the cap to 4 million
correct the stake to 15%
start PoW with 10 LCP and reduce by 1 LCP every 100,000 blocks ??

100,000 at 30 second block time = 50,000 minutes - about 34 days
humph, that doesn't sound right.
100,000 blocks at 2 blocks a minute, I guess it is right.

so start at 10 LCP and about 9 months later it's down to 1 LCP
Maybe should stretch it out a little longer.

Any suggestions?

those of you that are tired of seeing the "checkpoint is too old ..." can download litecoinplus-qt-v2.0.2.2.zip
Download links can also be found on the website at http://LitecoinPlus.co

Also fixed the splash screen, and changed the way the version is printed.

I created a slack for LitecoinPlus. here is an invite like:
https://join.slack.com/t/litecoinplus-team/shared_invite/MjEyNzM5NzU3NjY0LTE1MDAxNTE0ODYtMTkxN2YwNzZjNw

This would be a good place to continue discussions on the changes and direction of LitecoinPlus, without cluttering up this information thread.
All are welcome to join and help mold the future of LitecoinPlus.

We can still post here of course, but I think we should try and keep the posts here on solid information so new people won't get confused as easily.

ok, so I think I may have a good handle on the PoW settings:
start reward at 2 and reduce by .25
1)200,000 at 2    = 400,000
2)200,000 at 1.75 = 350,000
3)200,000 at 1.5  = 300,000
4)200,000 at 1.25 = 250,000
5)200,000 at 1    = 200,000
6)200,000 at .75  = 150,000
7)200,000 at .5   = 100,000
                  ---------
                  1,750,000  1.3 years
then the final reduction to .25 LCP
That takes us roughly to half way to the cap of 4,000,000

2 blocks a minute at 1,140 minutes in a day 2,280 blocks a day
2,280  at .25 is 570 bcf created
2,000,000 by 570 is 3,500 days (9.6 years)

Keep in mind these figures are for blocks created by mining alone, and does not figure in the staked blocks.
the more staked blocks - the less mined blocks.

sound good so far ?

Oh you worked this out nicely.
Yes this sounds really good.
It took a while, and several tries.
I wanted to start with a higher reward, but it made to many blocks in too fast a time.
Unless someone can come up with a reason not to, I think this is what we will go with.
I will wait a while for responses.

this is the link to the latest wallet https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1cnD3W8c0jtVV9EREdUVmthaDQ
If you get an error unzipping it, let me know so I can investigate.

I will be testing a new wallet in a day or two, once I get a testnet up.
The new wallet will have the stake correction, and pow.
