Just bought 8000 more BC. I bet on it being stable for some time, then rise.
I'm thinking there might still be a bit of a pullback, but not far and not for long... but overall I agree. It should be range bound for a little while until all these new clones lose a bit of their lustre. At that point in time we should already be back in the 20s, but the rush to not get left behind from those wishing to come back should help push through some of the sell walls on the way up. It will definitely be a choppy rise this time (though more organic at least) since I think there are still some bagholders from the first run that are not really true believers, but are disciplined enough to not sell for a loss.

Geez I hope so. At some point, relentless price manipulation has to stop.

someone has been eating all the sells with small to moderate sized bids at the 18k level for a while now.
Yes someone has. Fat fingered one recently... typed 19 instead of 17... accidentally bought the book up to 18700. It's all good though. (Too bad it didn't hold, but that's to be expected with a gap of nearly 600 sats) It's pretty bad on bittrex. They don't prefill in the blanks with the current price so you have to type in .000 or .0000 on your first trading session. Well, of course I forgot a few times just type .1800 (thinking 1800 stats) and the order doesn't process instantly. So you do that a few times. click under ask or bid and it will set that price for you're order ( you can also click size and it will set that number) for the amount you are buying Thanks!

Geez I hope so. At some point, relentless price manipulation has to stop. It will eventually... but the biggest problem now is volume and lack of support. Until there's more new investors, it's far too easy for manipulators (and even ordinary investors that are too impatient to wait for their order to fill) to push the price back down when it's on an upswing. If we have momentum on the buy-side it really won't take much. Most of the time now you're talking about 2-4 BTC 'walls'... those shouldn't even be a speed bump, but because there's so little liquidity, they look huge. It's something we have to overcome, not simply for the price to rise, but also for easier adoption. Wouldn't be a problem if we had a number of reputable BC->USD possibilities (or BC->Goods/Services so Coinkite will help this). As it is there are many of us that have a tidy sum of BC, but can't even cash out enough to buy a nice TV without killing a run - or worse starting a selloff! I'm planning on being in BC for a very long time... but it would be nice to hold entirely because I want to, and not because I'm too afraid to sell any more than $50 worth at a time. I guess it's good that it makes you think out purchases/other investments a long way in advance... because it might take 2 weeks to cash out a decent amount.

(Obviously not). I hate to feed the troll, but it bears saying - of course the price matters. To say otherwise is ridiculous... and that wasn't what was meant by 1 BC = 1 BC anyway. The point was simply that under the best circumstances (not saying this will happen soon or even that it will ever happen) BC will not have it's value determined by BTC. Sure they will always be 'related' just as the prices of different metals or of oil and natural gas... but they are still actually separate markets - and it's possible for oil to be up but natural gas to be down at the same time. Are you actually invested in anything currently, or is the name ironic?

It hasn't stopped for a bit even in the btc market , it won't stop too soon for BC either. Just ride the waves and be careful not to drown This is hw you make big bucks , or lose them all.

How can we fix that if you write "Blackcoin" into google the old thread doesn't show as the no.1 hit? And this one would pop up.

Or at least put a link in it to this thread.

Or at least put a link in it to this thread. I even have a hard time getting to this one using the search here if I ever close this one. Sends me to the old one and that other one I will not go to.
