why copy DRK? none of the BC clones had success, why would BC have success cloning DRK and at the same time risk to put off CoinKite, similar services and merchants?

Agreed, I also think different passwords for sections of the wallet would be a useful feature (staking, encrypting, sending payments), would certainly help protect users from keyloggers, malware etc.
