There's a thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=860400.0 that compares different cloudmining companies, specifically on how probable it is they are a ponzi scheme. I pointed out Genesis-mining qualified for not being a ponzi on one of the critria, e.a. pictures of their mining hardware being available. As a consequence Genesis-mining is now rated 'probably legit' hehe.

Hey Julian,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for pointing out pictures of our mining farm (we will show some more soon btw). Very much appreciated!

Cheers,
  Marco

You're most welcome. And thanks to Michael Teeuwisse for answering ticket #2788 I registered with you, my apologies for the stupid question that was the content of that ticket.

Yeah I was a little disappointed with the payout today as well. Unfortunately sometimes these things cannot be helped when dealing with the altcoin market :/

Hey Genesis,

Any chance of you guys adding a market to the site? It seems like most of your competitors these days have a way to trade MH/s or GH/s and it is a really nice feature to have Smiley

The short answer is it varies depending on the alt coin market you could make a lot or very little. I have only 4MH and when I started I got around 40 cents, now I'm getting 20-30 cents however the alt coin market is down so thats most likely to blame.

Hi Dophoeve
How do you propose selling these 30MH/s? Are you going to give your e-mail address to someone else (they get it and change the password)? Followed by the new owner obviously choosing his/her wallet address?

I have around 140MH/s that are currently not paying much, so looking to get rid of it. There are much better options than Genesis out there at the moment. Could use your advice.
Thanks in advance.

It is how Scrypt payouts are in general at the moment. It is not just Genesis Mining

And compared to some others, Genesis Mining is not doing so bad, just look at my videos to see how bad it could be.

These were my payouts yesterday
Genesis Mining 1 MH/s contract            0.00008780 BTC
GAW Hashlet Waffle 1MH/s                   0.00000001 BTC
GAW Hashlet Zen 1 MH/s                      0.00000942 BTC

Well, fortunately I have only .19 BTC stuck in this mess.

Still, dead money is never fun.
