I might be interested... how much VRC/silver is it? and how much would you want for it? It's one troy ounce of silver. The coin is in its original capsule and it is empty (vrc devs should have sent 100vrc in it but i never requested those coins) Make me an offer.

I can tell you this: the other devs and I didn't make these coins, a user named SocalCrypto (William Sedlak) did. We also didn't send any coins to them ourselves, but the public key should have been provided with the coin so you could check the funding or fund yourself. The private key is under the valid sticker, as far as I know.

You probably wouldn't like my offer but I'd basically match the equivalent of a China Panda... something like spot + $9. I have no clue what you originally paid for this but I'm assuming it was more then that?

I can sell it for 3000 VRC or 0.24BTC :O How does that sound? Remember that there's only a 100 coins so you should not really compare these to China pandas

What will happen to VRC after the verium buy/swap ? will it still exist as a trade able coin in its current format ?
VeriCoin isn't going anywhere. The swap is just to reward some holders with the ability to get some "gold" since they have "cash" already and at a discount. Only 25% of VRC at most will be swapped. The swapped VRC will be used for bounties, to cover hard costs (such as hosting the website and services), for marketing and PR for VRC and VRM, etc. to be decided on in the future. I guess I thought the swapped VRC was going to be burned. So to get verium, you need to buy with vericoin, but all the vericoin that is paid will be sold in order to support verium and add additional marketing for vericoin? When you say at most 25% of VRC will be swapped are you saying 25% of total VRC coins in circulation could eventually be sold to support this project?

The community will decide what is done with the funds via a vote, but one of the best ideas out there I think is to hold about 50% of the ICO fund in perpetuity and stake it. The stake earnings could cover all the hard costs for the long term and sale of the stake earnings will be minimal and spread out over time. If this were the case about 50% would be frozen and this could be enforced via a multisig setup.

ICO? ?? yay!!!!!! come on everybody hop up on the band wagon. on more serious note. most people would focus on securing and maintaining a LIQUID market (which vrc is not and has not been for over a year) that is actually used for the one coin they already have before adding another in to the mix. and how can the devs promise to support this new coin at a set exchange rate with out heavy manipulation or negatively impacting the market of vericoin it would seem to some that... that this ICO is an attempt to replenish the devs warchest that was given away and regain a percentage of stake in the vericoin network with out actually having to spend the bitcoins to aquire it. but we digress maybe this is the best option after all after handing over a large % of the network to a group that will never stop using vrc to bolster up their own projects or allow for vrc to exceed the value of them

ICO? ?? yay!!!!!! come on everybody hop up on the band wagon. Yes. Master. Remember folks, BTCtalk has trolls, try not to feed them or get caught in their vortex of false truths. We all do not have to agree, just be careful how you reply to others and when it is best to just ignore. A good way to tell a troll from a real genuine discussion is when someone disagrees based on assumed "facts" and runs with it.

Seems like the ETH / DAO crisis has fuelled a trip down memory lane for a lot of folks on Polonibox, linking a possible ETH rollback with VRC's rollback and the following crash. Could you guy explain what happened then, how did you make that decision and how are you preventing it from happening again? I think this is the best way to avoid rumours and false information from spreading in this veri sensible period. TY

Your questions have answers, but it is best you go here to ask and reply https://twitter.com/VeriCoin/status/743812040377139201 as Vericoin devs have made statements it seems, like this from Douglas Pike https://twitter.com/effectsToCause/status/743890800048750592
