Just updated to cgminer 2.2.3 and so far so good (NO REJECTS!) - but only about 400 shares so far...

I wont give up making this a great and reliable pool, losing isnt part of my game.

Heres to running 24hrs stable, that would be the real test.

I think I finally did something right Wink

Been running for the last 3 hours and submitted just over 20 000 shares with the following results:

Submitted: 20144
Rejected: 24
Accepted: 20120
Percentage stale: 0.11%

I would love to hear from others after the server came back online recently, did your stalerate drop as much as the results Im getting.

Feel free to post here, good or bad.

Something I noticed; when using phoenix 2 beta which supports rollntime, eligius makes the miner roll time a lot, which is good. bonuspool however is -always- sending new work, probably giving the server unnecessary load. just a thought.

Heya

We do actually make use of rollntime, you will notice every now and then nrolltime entry (phoenix displays it nicely, not sure bout other miners), also serverload is the last of our concerns considering we are running on a utterly underused monster server:

2x Xeon X5650
48GB DDR3 ECC
4x2TB SAS 15000 RPM RAID 10 drive (data storage)
2x120GB SSD drives (caching and memory fast-fetch usage)

And some other tit-bits.

That said stale percentage is plummeting share by share, damn happy about some success finally.

Yeah I did notice rolling every now and then; just didnt occur as often compared to the other pool i listed as an example, and yes indeed that is a monster. Anyways back to mining on bonuspool.

edit: pool is acting up again. i'm connected on 1 miner but cant connect on 3 others.. back to eligius never mind, problem is on my end.
edit2: fixd. had a virus annihilate base filtering engine service and windows firewall and some other stuff on the main pc that shares internet connection to other miners. ran 2 registry fixes, some netsh commands, restored some services back to automatic startup, and good as new.

90% of my miners kicked to backup over night. In phoenix miner, does it go back to the primary pool when its back up or does it stay on the backup until you restart the miner. If its the second, is there another miner that trys to reconnect to the primary while its on the backup?

afaik phoenix miner goes back to primary but I could be wrong since I use Smartcoin to manage my fallbacks etc. wether miner supports it or not.

Glad to report that finally everything looks stable ( dont go to sleep !!!) and the rejects are
under control finally

Stop lying, you are hopping with everyone hashes!  I see you and the the Thai Sheep hopping on Bitclockers and trying on Bitlc.  Your business plan is BS and makes no sense, but hopping at 125% and keeping the 5% to 10% spread is a good idea, but lying and killing prop pools is lame

So, wake up miners, your self-righteous quest to make sure everyone is equal allows the some to take advantage of you and make you think your are equal are in fact robbing you by using your hashes against your wishes...being used unequally ala prop pools <43.5%  I guess putting a layer between hopping and your emotion/inexperience makes it easier to sleep at night.

Yeah well that does not really make sense to me. Are they the same person ?

Why would Clipse ( who is paying 120 % ) go to Goat ( who is paying 115% ) !?

Maybe I am just too dumb to comprehend the "magix" behind the scenes Cheesy.

But I think you are right. The secrecy surrounding these "x%" pools is too much and that is a bit doubtful IMHO.

You need instructions on hopping or proof of its profitability ? Just search this forum. Its not exactly new.

As for proof about clipse.. I cant prove clipse is hopping, let alone which pools, but I think its proven his original (and now removed) claims were flatout lies, so the burden of proof is upon him. That said, I can prove bitclockers is being hopped by a hashrate thats higher than Clipse+Goat+GPUmax:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=61985.msg737310#msg737310

Havent checked the other prop pools yet, but bitclockers is now down. If it stays down for a few days, it will be interesting to see what happens to clipse's hashredirector. Something tells me he will suddenly lose a lot of customers in South Africa and no longer have such "need" for hashrate.
Time will tell.

one sucks more at hopping or has less costs?  greed?

I don't think that those 115% schemes gain their profit from hopping deepbit because it would be really obvious for me.
I noticed a couple of times when some user bought a "contract" from GPUMAX and tried to use it for hopping deepbit, but I prevented it.

See, has Clipse been asking for help on improving BitHopper?  Why?  Cause it had a hard time scaling?  Hopping with very high hash rates!
