Create a .txt file and rename it...probably some rtf formatting embedded in the file if you create an rtf file or something like that.

Thanks for the reply. I tried that and still no change. I also created a txt file in Win 7 and renamed it *.conf, but still I don't have more than 5-8 connections  Undecided Undecided

Can someone upload there *.conf file please?

You must allow connections from the internet directly to your wallet (port 24241). If you firewall is not blocking the incommining connections your router (in 99% of all homes) is due to NAT.
Find something like portforwarding in your router and forward port 24241 to your PC.

Since you are on mac i'm not sure how UPNP works, but other option would be to compile with UPNP support. Also server=1 and listen=1 should be in your config file..

Thanks, I am at the University network and I have already added port 24241 & server=1 and listen=1 in the conf file. Still no use Sad

I tried using http://www.subnetonline.com/pages/network-tools/online-port-scanner.php to check if the port 24241 is open but its shown as offline/unreachable

Yes, I make a txt file and then rename it to .conf and put it in the Sync directory. Are you on a private network or on a public one like me in my University.

@deephouse

the Network is behind a router - you have to open the port on the router and im afraid you havnt the permission to do that

or do you have a single mac at your home ? i understand it in that way that you re using at the University !?!

i ll try to solve this

I live at student accommodation, so I suppose maybe the port is blocked ?
I put that config file in the root directory for sync and it made no difference, only getting 5 active connections =(
Anyone know how to fix this ?

No, I stay in a student accommodation & can't access their router. I am connected via ethernet cable from the wall.

EDIT: Guess victorski and me are on the same boat  Embarrassed

If you can in any way use ipv6, it will also help. But true if you have access to your router, it is the easiest way to forward 24241 to your pc.
