well done to whoever built the new windows wallet - sync's up first time. I'm presuming the mac wallet doesn't need updating?

Apologies if it's been asked a million times, I've downloaded the MAC wallet from the front page version 1.0.1.0.

It does not complete synchronising and is stuck at block 8204, how do I remedy this ?

Also if I transfer my Sync from the exchange, do I need to worry about this hard fork, not sure what a hard fork is to be honest.

I just don't want to lose my coins!

Thanks in advance,
Victor

it should be more easy to post a guide to compile sync on mac >=10.8.5
I tried, but is it impossible due to the too many compiling errors (too many problems with boost, g++ versions, xcode version etc...).

An alternative solution could be to install an old version like mountain lion and xcode 4.2 Sad

to be fair, the majority wouldn't be able to do it anyway.
I, for one, if was forced to compile my own mac wallet, would simply just move my coins to a windows wallet.

i think the current mac wallet is OK though? if victorski says it's synched up on first run, then that's all we need?
or is there a new wallet going to be required for the fork tonight?

yes, it is very complicated to compile on a mac starting from mountain lion 10.8.5 due to some incompatibilities on boost, xcode, command line tools, and other...

we have to use already compiled binaries or to setup ubuntu on a virtual machine (compiling sync on ubuntu is very easy)
