Did you guys notice someone is buying 11 Bitcoin's worth of Casino AT THE HIGHEST BID?

3.4 million coins. On top of what he's already bought.

Is this the dev?  W

ho would want so much CasinoCoin?

Maybe it is a takeover by a major casino or an online gambling site.  It would make a lot of sense.
This person has been trying to accumulate 9+ BTC since 200. He's not going to get a fill. There has been a shortage of casinocoin in circulation for 2 months now.

Moving to Puerto Rico...
Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

He's getting something filled. Cause I've bought quite a bit from 500 all the way down to 177.

If I had 11 Bitcoins like him during that time I could have bought at least 2 million coins.  And that's nearly 10% right there.

But I'd like to know who's doing it cause they're not even trying to hide it anymore.

I wish people would be upfront about it - I always tell people if I'm the one buying.  At least it doesn't get your hopes up that it's some Bitcoin millionaire or some hedge fund or gambling site.

@casinocoin:

first page of the ANN:

http://altexplorer.net/chain/CasinoCoin is not mentioned.
http://csc.blockexp.info/ is not mentioned also (and is not online now?)

At casinocoin.org, there is still an old blockexplorer casinocoin.mooo.com that can be deleted.
Just for info: Casinoco.in seems to be offline now.

So, whats next for CasinoCoin? Maybe we should manage all feature/change requests in a central spot like trello.com?

We should vote on the mintpal, but its really hard to get the first position without investing some bitcoins. Would be nice if we had someone contact at mintpal to get things implemented? anyone?

CasinoCoin,

Are you the big buyer on Cryptsy.  This guy has been buying big for at least the last 2 weeks.

He can't get enough and he's not trying to hide it.

Mintpal voting is pretty scammy. I don't bother anymore. They just want to be paid to put coins up. The vote thing is rediculous.

Anyone notice that trading volume seems to be moving slightly higher now versus April and most of May. If we can get back to February levels, this could lead to some significant positive value for this coin:

About the subsidy, we shouldn't increase that too much as that will lead to the same inflationary problems of fiat and will have a downward pressure on the price as miners dump more coins than they are now.

The reduction in max coins however will have an instant effect on the price and shareholder value.

These coin reduction tactics are exactly like a Stock-BuyBack.  It removes the total number of coins just as you would buy back stock shares to remove excess shares.

But the awesome part is that we can do this for any coin and do it at a cost of ZERO dollars.  This is an amazing option which more and more coins will start using to increase value.

Not sure how many coins the dev had in mind as the new total, but I would suggest under 100 million, significantly under 100 million total coins, for maximum benefit.

Cheers!

Where do you see the hash rate?

You can see it here:
http://www.coinwarz.com/network-hashrate-charts/casinocoin-network-hashrate-chart

This is a dangerous time for Casinocoin when hash power can go from 100 MH/s to over 700 MH/s in an instant.

I vote to cut it to maybe 50 or 75 million. Maybe 63 million or 84 million make sense if we want to simplify comparisons with Bitcoin's maximum total. Frankly, 63 million sounds about right especially if we can eventually get this to achieve bitcoin's market cap. Also, maybe we accelerate the block halving to 50% reduction every 105k blocks (roughly once per year) instead of once every 3 years.

50 to 63 million sounds great.  Enough to make a big difference while still allowing tons of coins to be mined for liquidity and distribution.

The having every year sounds good too.  Not too inflationary.

Also, we should do this if possible before the next big boom which will probably hit this summer once BTC surpasses $1200.

That way new investors are looking at a coin with way less dilution.  I know a lot of stock investors will start coming in and speculating on crypto coins and the tech won't do much for them. They'll look at names, niche markets, and dilution.  Big dilution always turns off stock investors.

Cheers!
