I thought the decision was posted:  The issue lies with the exchange and CasinoCoin will not pay for any of the losses.

Maybe that wasn't clear or maybe you're waiting to hear from another dev.

C-CEX: Why don't you revert all trades since the fork? Cryptsy does that sometimes in this situation.

After you can see which users have negative balances and it would be up to them to make their account right by transferring more in.

It has been added Smiley

You can find CasinoCoin here, https://bitkee.com/order

We are working on a new improved order page with some additional products and options for everyone and CasinoCoin will be supported there as well.

Thank you,

I discussed this with C-cex and he refuses to do so because he doesn't have the BTC to cover the resulting BTC discrepancy. That being said, I believe his resulting BTC liability will be smaller than the CSC liability. However, he hasn't told me what these numbers would be.

I doubt C-cex will find a solution since they seem to lack capitalization. My suggestion would be for you guys to talk to c-cex about potentially investing CSC into his exchange in exchange for some ownership. I don't know if he would consider this, but it could be an appropriate way to fix his CSC discrepancy and show support for the exchange.

If you don't find an alternative to resolve the discrepancy, then c-cex is likely to declare those coins lost.

Important Announcement: (REPOST)

We've added two new opt-in mailing lists to help distribute announcements for Casinocoin more effectively. Don't worry. We're not selling you anything and we won't be sending out more than a couple mails per month at most. This is more to broadcast version updates. release notifications, etc for pools and services. This allows pool owners or other interested parties to tell us they want an email when something comes out that may affect them.

So, if you operate a pool or similar service that relies on running a Casinocoin wallet and would like to be notified of new client releases, hard forks, or service issues affecting the Casinocoin network, then please sign up for the "Casinocoin Development News" mailing list here: http://eepurl.com/WGcoP

If you are a general user and would like general news notifications regarding Casinocoin, we are providing a "Casinocoin Announcements" mailing list. Please signup here if you wish to receive these notifications: http://eepurl.com/WGeu1

Thank you!

I don't agree we have situation is "did not update in time". You can check - old wallet is available, old network is still working. And we have coins in old network. So for us this is like new coins. Usually dev make swap new coins to old one (FRX, CFC etc). In this situation we can only offer coins that exists in old blockchain.

C-CEX, just so you realize, the customers who sold the CSC and YOUR transaction fees were purchased with bitcoin that IS in a current blockchain.  You have the ability to revert it.  You CHOOSE not to.  You lack of action and your current choice of action have stolen both monetary value and potential profit from your customers who paid a transaction fee for transactions that never manifested.  If reverting will show the negative balances and identify the CSC sellers, perhaps you can find resolution with that knowledge.  If you do not have the funds to cover these small loses, how can any investor take you seriously?  Your actions are on the line of being criminally negligent.  It is your duty to provide a just remedy to the your clients who suffered loss.  It isn't just that you and a handful of CSC sellers profit from the exchanges negligence to perform the actions you contracted to perform.  Find a remedy.   The Universal Comnercial Code is applicable in every nation and it does provide recourse.

If you have poorly managed your funds, then I suggest you find another viable means of compensation.   Several have been mentioned.  Viable stock in C-CEX might be your best option.  Payment plans with interest another. Find one that justly compensates the loss and burden of recooperation justly.

If you do not have the funds to cover these small loses, how can any investor take you seriously?

I took a look at their financials, and if the reporting is correct, c-cex is making pretty much no profit at all. According to their Trade Volumes page, they've only done 16BTC volume in the last 24 hours. With a .2% fee on both the sell and buy side, they're only making .064BTC/day. Even that number may be high, considering 25% of that volume is ROXcoin, which is a dump-scam that was ninja-launched for a 24hr POW phase.

SCAM EXCHANGE!!!!  DO NOT TRADE ON C-CEX!!!

INSTEAD OF PAYING ME BACK THE 3 BTC THEY OWED ME, THEY HAVE CHOSEN TO CLOSE MY ACCOUNT AND EVEN STEAL THE ALTS I HELD THERE!!!

VISIT THE PASTEBIN FOR LINKS TO NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER CUSTOMERS THEY HAVE SCREWED OVER!!

http://pastebin.com/uTDTTyFP

Apologies to those who have seen me go on about this before, but my only revenge at this point is dissuading enough people from trading at c-cex in hopes they lose out on 3 BTC in the long run.

Thanks for the link. Looks like they're still paying back a mess-up on DRK from back in February. They're "hoping" to get it all payed off in a year!

Anyone notice that there seems to be a CSC hoarding situation on cryptsy? Nobody seems to want to sell coins.

I'm seeing the same thing.

If we didn't have millions of CSC minted monthly the price would sky rocket right now.  I think the only ones selling are miners.

The order depth it very telling. All it takes is someone coming in to buy 100k to send this back above 900.

Some good news i think Wink ..... i did a fork of BitcoinJ (actually on the Digitalcoin fork of BitcoinJ as it already had made some important changes) and created CasinocoinJ as a Java casinocoin client. This fork can be used to create all kind of Java based Casinocoin applications, being web, desktop or mobile. Take a look at https://github.com/ajochems/casinocoinj and try the build. When i run the example it gets stuck on block 719 during download, ... not sure yet whats the issue. I also would like to get a clear list of changes made to casinocoin in v1.2.0 to see if i need to make changes to CasinocoinJ.

Using CasinocoinJ will allow me to create a Casinocoin fork for Andreas Schildbach’s Android bitcoin wallet which will be my next step, .... yes i dropped my previous attempt to create a hybrid mobile wallet as the server part was giving me too much trouble and i decided i do not want the responsibility of online coin storage in light of the recent C-CEX problems. This variant will store its own wallet on the device!

I sold almost all of my coins during that first spike. It's taken me 3 days to buy back in at lower prices.
