hey guys hope you can help me with this noob question. The volume today is really high. but the price is stil going down. what does the volume mean to the price?

If you call this high volume then you must be new. A month ago we were seeing 1500+ BTC trading.

Im indeed new here (one of the losers who bought at 300k). but can you tell me what the meaning is of a "high" volume? what does it mean for the price for example?

You're not a loser for buying at 300k, you only lose if you sell.  Hang in there and let the team work their magic, the price will follow in due time.

Volume is simply how many Bitcoins change hands for a given coin in a 24 hour period.  Higher volume means that a lot of coins are changing hands, lower volume means that not much trading is going on.  The price x quantity = volume.

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

ok, I have downloaded the wallet, thought I might give a shot to staking, but it's not happening Sad...it's always like this:

any solution for this newbee?

patience, grasshopper.
also, to stake most efficiently, make sure your coins are in 50-500 coin blocks.
there's an excellent guide on the website.

Exactly.  Plus it can take a minimum of 8 hours to a maximum of 30 days for your coins to stake (as listed in the OP).

So the statement which appears when I move the mouse pointer over the mining symbol, is not correct, is it?

I should ignore what it says there, and wait up to 30 days, do I get it right?

I know this feeling, but then if you just buy more while its low, when it goes back up, the % you are down will be smaller and when it gets back to 300k = profits!

I can sympathize!  And by all means, everyone should do with their money what they see fit, but when it comes to sure bets in crypto, this is as close as it gets.  I've dealt with a lot of "junk" in cryptoland, but this one's different.  That's why I advise holding on for dear life  Smiley

What is the point in having a moderated thread if we just let these idiots run loose spamming nonsense all over the place?

im in xc for the long run. but it hurts to see my money half haha.

Remember the price you bought XC, monitor 24h volume. Now it is being increased. So it is a simple dump, and after this, XC does likely lead to pump.

But take in account, XC has fundamental contingencies, that most community people do not accept. Such as XC closed source (at least for years) and the fact, XC is not anonymous, just a coin mixer - so one can easily check your balance or income, given XC address unveiled - exactly as with BTC:

http://chainz.cryptoid.info/xc/#!rich

Nevertheless, XC's coin mixer does work, and there are many other interesting features implemented, such as encrypted messaging subsystem, android client capable to stake coins just inside a phone, and many others.

My opinion, XC will copy destiny of NXT, so you will have few time windows to make a profit, if you have bought XC not at top price, of course.

Yup so I can't really moderate but I can answer questions / PMs in the same amount as usual with a slight delay. I normally answer some in the morning and in the evening. However we always have the forum

Yes, as BTC is anonymous, plus XC's coin mixer, that hides the structure of your income, not income total value.

So on the API, I'd definitely like to take a look at it as it pertains to messaging.  I'm interested in how to plug in real applications to this.  I'm definitely interested in creating a messaging platform and applying that in the real world (through apps, email, etc...) with message destruction and timeouts, etc...

this new round of FUD is initiated by no-brain retards?

so stupid questions they are raising.

there would be no anonymity coins, if stupid morons ask for hiding block explorer.

dig dig dig
IMPORTANT! COINPAYMENTS IS ACCEPTING VOTES!

We need this site for the xc merch that I'm planing, that will have cool things like mechanical keys with xc logo, tshirts and even more importantly tor stick.

https://www.coinpayments.net/vote

guys? GUYS??  Shocked
remember, Teka needs XC to be on coinpayments.net for future merchandise plans.
I think that 60cent for your vote will be well spent, since this would also benefit XCs value.

we need to get at least 5th place to be added, right now we are 6th, pos 2-5 are very tight though.

2nd Coin2     35
3rd TitCoin   34
4th KryptKoin 32
5th Zimstake  30
6th XCurrency 22

to catch up the race to zimstake we would need at least 10 more votes, but 20 more votes would be a good amount of votes to secure at least the fifth place.
so if you haven't already, get off your butt and get your damn wallet (btc wallet of course)  !!!!!  Wink

go to -> https://www.coinpayments.net/vote -> choose XC -> pay 0.001 BTC -> don't forget to confirm vote via email -> PROFIT  Cheesy

Less than 5 hours left!!  http://www.webcountdown.de/?a=OEiZWLc

Thx, Alex
we are losing it .. just saying

1st NYC  NewYorkCoin 64
2nd KTK  KryptKoin   43
3rd ZS   Zimstake    42
4th NC2  Coin2       39
5th TIT  TitCoin     37
6th XC   XCurrency   23

seems most people are to lazy to support our team  Embarrassed
well i guess then we'll have to wait for another month to see the TOR stick and other XC merch that is in planed...

Less than 3 hours left and still ~20 votes missing to achieve our goal to get on coinpayments.net  Cry
