For heaven's sake, can we all just drop the question?
You have some constructive things we as a community can discuss? How about the updated roadmap? To date nobody's really discussed the new info on it. Hi Synechist, May I ask if in Rev 2.45 You can start already to receive payments as an xnode or this will be left to Rev 2.5? Plus in the Anon Transaction Readme was stated that to make anon transaction you cannot have more than 100Xc in the wallet and you can send just 10XC. Can you confirm if this is still the case and if this will change in Rev 2.5? Thank you. Fees for processing payments have not yet been set. However there was a discussion on the forum last week where everyone agreed it would be best to keep fees low and thereby incentivise users. Nodes would then get more volume and thus make the same income, yet users would pay less. You can have more than 100XC in your wallet, but we advise caution while we continue to tweak and test the Rev 2 features. After all, we have a very strong desire to avoid anyone losing money. Presently you can only send 10XC anonymously. This is an artificial, temporary restriction for the same reason: we really don't want a single XC to get lost. It's incredibly new tech. There's no reason to risk anyone's funds, and adding risk won't help us test the tech. Thank you for the Reply very Clear Keep it up and sorry if yesterday I sounded as an ass I was just a bit confused on what we were with the project. Anytime :-). - and no worries. These misconceptions take on a life of their own so easily once even a few people start repeating them to each other. Call it a bad case of hyperreality. It's no single person's fault.

I am keen to discuss the new roadmap as well, although it is not really that different to the old one.. As pointed out by others though, when there are literally no timings whatsoever on it, its more like a shopping list to me than a roadmap.. Hoping we do get some rough forward looking guidance in the next update..
Synechist you are doing a great job as usual though.
I think the negative price activity since the "update" is a reflection that what we got really was just a restatement of what we already knew as opposed to any real meaningful updates...

Yes, I agree. Most interesting thing I found was the new Wallet UI pre-view! together with this link Drasticraven.deviantart.com I am pretty XCited Also the marketing tab seems nice. Could we sometimes get some sneak peaks to keep us in the loop? Yeah, I'm super-excited about the upcoming UI. It's gonna be awesome. I've actually been working on possibilities for more sensible menu layouts, since the current one is clunky and coin control is unnecessarily confusing. But my current favourite is the upcoming tech to added to the final Rev 2 update. ;-)

I think that the appropriate way to look at the roadmap is to simply pick out the new information on it. An inappropriate way to interpret it is to first set up unrealistic expectations (in this case, expecting dates although we made no mention that we'd supply some), and then to get disappointed when the roadmap doesn't meet these unrealistic expectations. I mean, why set oneself up for disappointment? The biggest pity for me is the almost complete lack of discussion about the new information we included. That's just crazy.

I was just wondering as well, which version of the wallet is now in the TOR download for the Stick? and can you update it from the TOR Stick how this will work in the future?

I think we are excited mate, there are some other wallets that do have a more eye catching UI and its good that we are competing in this area... But when you have no idea when to expect these things I think that is what is possibly limiting the excitement.. I dont want you to say 22nd August 9pm GMT, but something like targeted for first 2 weeks in AUG (would be nice)... Just using August as an eg, not trying to say release it in AUgust BTW lol... Artoo...

Hmm... what can I disclose? I'll tell you that it's very smart and will nullify a certain attack vector. I'll tell you that no other coin has done it. As for the TOR Stick, you'll all be able to start ordering it soon enough, and when you receive it, it should have Rev 3 on it. :-)

Thank you I know about the Official tor stick but I thought you can do one yourself right now as well correct? there was a link somewhere in the website to Download the Torstick file and make a USB drive into a tor stick, But I don't find it right now. I just Bought three 16 GB USB drives to test it out

I think the negativity has more to do with misconceptions than the roadmap per se. I also think that the mysterious whale who keeps dumping on our news seriously swayed the tone on this thread about the roadmap. Anyway, that's all in the past. Down with misconceptions, up with the truth, and up with XC!

can XC reach 0.01btc? Someone knows it at all? sure enough no till everyone start out to trade my guess is it may have essential chances to start rising at the beginning of autumn where/if massive pr campaign begins and the development stage will be closer to rev 3. Every third word on this forum - ''beta'', ''not final product'' is kinda subconscious cliche. It sounds a bit uncomfortably if u are looking where to put money. But this depends as well on competing techs. However, on current volume XC will never reach even half of this price.

Hi all
A nice little update from the devs:
There'll be a new version of the EM app coming out before long.
The word is that it will feature a "Skype-like" messaging interface, with a list of users on the left.
Can't wait!
Edit: it'll still be within the ol' QT interface. The full-on new UI is a Rev 3 thing.

Also the image was bigger then "normal" (consumer) amount of GB on a 16GB stick so I think that will not work with this image. Dan said that it would be fixed for final release

I wouldn't recommend using it since XC didn't have trustless mixing at that stage. It would work, but you'd be better off using Rev 2.45.
